Gloom Veiled My Heart

I wept until the bronzed edge of twilight
chased prismed light from pastel skies.
A shroud of gloom veiled my heart
as the gatekeeper touched my arm.

You chose well for the contest, Jenna. Love the "bronzed edge" and twilight is such a wonderful metaphor for peace or love or hope slipping away. Congratulations on your win!
