A Love Note
Please be by my side. My love for you I can’t hide. To get you, I tried. What I have is bona fide. For too long now, I’m denied.

Divulgence
I confess I convincingly committed contemptible crimes
Beguiling bewitching beauty beyond my bona fide bounty
Gazed galvanic glances guiltily
Thus glamorized God's grave gluttony....

Premium Member A Mouse Crossed My Path
A tiny mouse tip-toed cross my path
   Arose immediately my wrath
Set for him, a pungent mousetrap
   Filled with muenster cheese

Tingling all over, anticipating a bloodbath
   I cringed at myself, a bona fide psychopath
Gloating over the creature's perceived unease
   How dare he forget to say "Please?"...

T’was a bone fide anomaly
an avant-garde cacophony
carte blanche imbued with déjà vu
soft ennui of élan
following an endless toque
the dilettante went flat

Authentic Vs Fake and Shiny
undocumented bona fide lyric writer
very extraordinarily real
also buttery brown bathed in genuine poverty
unlawfully kept under change of invariability
willfully writing human unlawfully and lawfully man made particulars
with frangible dainty legislating to keep safe all that is mine

so how can you know who's
Authentic vs fake and shiny...

Listen
So as deaf to spacious loitering's retried,
that circulations needling, so bona fide
does penetrate my nerve to cause deride
monopolizing cost and courage stride!

Do listen not, to reach my own confide,
a self, an understanding of my chide.
Yet duldrum's ceaseless wavering
does beg its pride -

In repetitious floundering
destroys times guide!...

The Politician For Contest
The baroque politician walked with carte blanche
he definitely was a bona fide anomaly.

The crowd didn't like his avant-garde elan
as the low mummer turned to cacophony.

Politician calmly showed ennui
as though it was deja vu.

Crowd was not a bunch of dilettantes
becoming avant-garde took his shoes.

Then began ripping his baroque clothes
what happened next, nobody knows....

My Mother
My origin, my matriarch, my mother, my queen
My prime paradigm of an amicable human being

My mentor, my supporter, my companion, my friend
My forever confidante I can always depend

My thanks to you for your love so unconditional
And for teaching me the power of love, value and principle

My absolute bona fide blessing like no other
Is having the honor of calling you “my mother”!...

A Guarantee of Love 8x8
Like dew upon a rose you sate,
             a love only God can create.
Now time has passed and we do see
   our passion’s always been innate.
As we drown in true loyalty,
           devotion is our renown fate.
In affection you saturate-
     our vows bona fide guarantee.

*syllable counter said "passion's" is 3 syllables, I used it as 2*

Premium Member Barbie World
Who wouldn't want to live like Barbie?
Each moment in that golden hour world
is made up of such secure pink plastic;

Walking on heels and breaking plastic
means nothing to a girl as fly as Barbie;
She's breezy in her chameleon world;

Nothing goes awry in this pristine world,
days roll on but they are just plastic;
Without bona fide you feel for Barbie;

A mundane life of Barbie World plastic....

Freak Me
Come close
And turn down the lights
I want to share my little delights
So lovely and tight
All I want to do is satisfy
To gratify
Taste me from behind
Touch Me
Tease Me
Love Me
Please Me
Wanting to bring you ecstasy from inside
My backside is bona fide
Head certified
After all this time
No need to be shy
100% satisfaction guaranteed
I want you pleased
So go real deep
You said you wanted a freak!...

Premium Member Chicago School Shutdown
In the once-great City of Chicago
  all the public schools are shut down
Teachers threatened to strike
  Parents had nervous breakdowns

So there's on-line instruction
  up to seven hours a day
Does that sound reasonable
  Psychologists say no way...

Meanwhile, Jewish schools are open
  All the kids attend, and they're stoked
to prove that public schoolteachers' bravado
  ~ is no more than a bona-fide hoax...

My Artist Friend - Another Ten Words
Among artists, she is something of an anomaly—
Traditional and avant-garde, austere and baroque,
Yet a bona fide artist nonetheless.
Amid the cacophony of modernism,
Where iconoclasm gives Carte-blanche
To jettison all rules and form and coherence—
A kind of fauvist deja-vu in distorted echoes—
She, neither dilettante nor polemicist,
Has genuine elan, and force, and passion--
In contrast to pandemic, jaded ennui....

Picturesque Place
Being a single human there,
I could smell the fresh air.
Being treated like a princess,
I felt the bona fide caress.

Bright blue sky blazed on a side;
Angels rode the rainbow slide;
Flies happily drenched in rain;
Sudden snowfall cloaked a running train;
Summer, Winter, Spring and Autumn,
All rolled into one.

Wondering how???
Do you wanna know the place now?
Yeah it was in my dream...
And I can go to any extreme......

Literary Circle
I feel a sense of déjà vu as I listen
to the cacophony of voices:
dilettantes discussing poetry
under baroque chandeliers. Masquerading
as avant-garde writers or bona fide critics
(black turtlenecks; color is an anomaly and suspicious),
they claim carte blanche to spew
pompous platitudes,
pronounce entire oeuvres as lacking elan
while all they create is endless ennui.

A Midnight Dream
Its warming glow says welcome home,
Sit in a chair and stop awhile
Meanwhile through the day gently roam,
Memories roam then softly smile.

An evening spent by the fireside,
Inside my mind of restless thoughts,
Old thoughts, new thoughts, I can’t confide,
Bona fide thoughts so long I’ve fought.

By the fire a decision made,
Made while searching a midnight dream,
The dream that would not drift nor fade,
The faded self has found esteem.

Anomaly don't enter contests like this
the style is a bit avant-garde,
I'm a bit of an oldie, preferring baroque
and finding this bona fide hard.
The cacophony of words dancing round in my head,
carte blanche to use this ten word list,
this is my third attempt, seems a bit deja-vu
but my dilettante side can't resist.
Not sure if I can do this write with elan
but hey-ho, ennui go.

Balancing Act
Annoyances add up so fast
That sometimes you might be aghast
When life does prolong
All the things going wrong
And your stress level can’t be surpassed.

For somehow when nits multiply,
Even calm people cannot deny
That each problem presents
Such a knot that prevents
Peace of mind and I’d like to know why.

I guess life’s a balancing act
And the odds against joy have been stacked.
If you’re happy one day
It gets taken away;
That’s a guaranteed bona fide fact....
