Unconditional Love

He looks at me with eyes so soft they speak a thousand words.
Words filled with compassion and tenderness,
What kind of love is this?

His promise is firm and His heart is kind.
What kind of love is this?
He is the perfect Father; indeed, He is.
What kind of love is this?

Self-sacrificing, yet so almighty, He gave his life on a cross.
What kind of love is this?
It is the kind of love that chases you down and leaves the ninety-nine.
It is the kind of love that fills your voids and makes your dull world shine.

It is the kind of love that heals your wounds and restores you just as new.
It is the kind of love that reaches out when all you have has abandoned you.
‘Unconditional’ best describes this selfless act of love.
It is the kind of love that only gives and expects nothing in return.

Selfless erasure

You know you're always misunderstood.
With feelings that words can’t even explain.
But you understand why no one understands you
So you don’t feel bad.

When people kick you down,
They don’t know,
You’re already so down to earth.

I love how you never let yourself fall
Into the nasty pits they dig for you.
Yet you trip,
You stumble,
Your own feet betray you.

You’ve made so many excuses for others,
You’ve become an excuse yourself.
You've worn so many shoes that aren’t yours
You now reek of their stink.

And still
Nobody sees you
The way
You see you.

Premium Member Angels Among Us

Many believe there are angels among us.
Where do these angels come from?
Are they manifest from among us?
If so, how does it happen?

A being in the physical state
seeks the source of its being.
It looks within its current form
for the essence of its being.

Determining that that essence is Spirit in form,
it decides to align itself with the Spirit.
When it is aligned with the Spirit,
there is an enlightenment that reveals the miracle.

By opening its heart and inviting the Spirit within
to flow or live through it.
The person is given power to perform miracles
with the Spirit and become angelic.

These individual or those that we
Commonly refer to as the angels among us.
They’re ordinary spirits that have allowed
The Spirit to love unconditionally through them.

                         Motherly Love and Frowns

Treading down the memory lane streams to my mind
memories from far yet near, some sweet, some sour,
memories preciously shelved in the precincts of my inner sanctum;

so sweet were the mindful motherly hugs of love
like the embrace of a divine angel
so serene soft and self-assuring her smiles
         like the spring selfless sunshine
so delicious her warm kisses on the forehead
that no other feel can replace,
yet interspersed at times with some harsh words
	for playing hide and seek on the sideway street;

so soft was the caress of her hands on the cheeks
that not even a beloved can bestow
so cool and compassionate her cuddly care
         no considerate nurse can dispense
so pleasing to rest on her merciful knees
more so after a hectic day`s fatigue,
yet interposed often times with some scowls
        for dusting my clothing or getting home late after cycle rides;

In afterthought, her love and frowns have made me the man I am.

Premium Member selfless blue butterfly ballerina

Blue butterfly ballerina offered herself as sacrifice
Because she is selfless, wise, and extremely nice
The butterflies used her as their stepping stone
To get to other destinations, some unknown

She was their inspiration, she gave great advice
Like I already said, blue butterfly ballerina was quite nice
The butterflies used her to bounce off ideas and such
Each liking her in a different way, but all very much

The story of the heart

One night, a couple was fighting, their voices echoing through the room.
In a moment of anger, the boy shouted, "I HATE YOU!". The girl stopped, her face pale, and suddenly fainted.Terrified, the boy carried her to the hospital. Their fight had been about her constant late arrivals home, which had filled him with suspicion.

At the hospital, the doctors delivered the devastating truth: "Your wife has a heart condition and only a week to live, we couldn’t find a donor... we’re so sorry. .When they returned home, the husband devoted himself to caring for her. Each moment was filled with tenderness and love.

A week passed, and the girl woke up, searching for her husband. The doctor said softly, "He gave you his heart... and this letter."With trembling hands, she opened the letter, tears streaming down her face.
"I know I wasn’t the best husband, but I wanted you to remember me as your loving one. Please, take care of my heart as you always did."

You may ask, "But why did he do this?"
... Well, he died for her because he loved her,
and she will live for him because she still loves him...

Oil can Acts of Love

I was but a tin man,
A cold and heartless can,
Frozen solid stuck on my feet,
But then I heard a beat,

It was you that oiled my joints,
Many unrivaled selfless points,
You cared for this piece of tin,
To give life where none had been,

Caring for me with little rest,
Until again a beat from my chest,
Showing me what true love was about,
Recovering a can when he was down and out.

A Mothers Heart

A mother's heart, so full of grace,
With endless love, she sets the pace.

Though tired eyes may hide her pain, She gives her all, time and again.

Through sleepless nights and weary days,
She holds her child in tender ways.

Her silent tears, the world won't see,
Yet still, she smiles so selflessly.

Her strength is quiet, yet so true,
A love so vast, forever new.

For in her heart, her children stay,
Her light that never fades away.

Rebel With a Cause

I refuse to be what you call normal,
To fit in with your jealousy, or bitterness
Your world is small, tangled in negativity and hate
I refuse to shrink to fit in.

You want me to bend, to belong,
Folding myself to match your rank
But I refuse,
I am bold, strong, born to burn bright, not to bow,
To stand tall and never trade my truth
Call me rebellious if you want
I call it freedom.

Selfless Sacrifice

You go and give this heart its wings so it can fly
Just to clip those very wings and watch me plummet from the sky
Still, my heart it never falters or begins to ponder why
For you a zillion deaths and more I would gladly die
If it means you will be the ones to spread your wings and fly

In search of the new

With each passing day, a thought engulfs me--
As to what remained of yesterday would become.
Apparently the curtain moves, even with the morn.
The sun burns, selfless in resolve to better the earth
The buzz heard in silence all around to deliberate life.
Here I am, up and about doing chores, routine work.
The seclusion from daily disdain, practical thought
Prepares me every day for something new to happen.
All at once, thunder and lightning strikes to move, to touch
The very essence of the desire to wish for something new.
Every human is born to touch, to serve, to be, to create.
Newness lies in remembering to explore, the self.

Premium Member Selfless love

Quote: "'Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all." - Alfred Lord Tennyson

In love's great quest, amidst the trials we face,
We navigate a labyrinth of pain,
Where hurdles rise, and shadows interlace,
Yet still, love's flame within our hearts remains.

Like thorns on a rose, obstacles appear,
Social norms, familial bonds entwine,
Economic woes, our path so unclear,
And lovers torn by vows they must resign.

But in the depths of darkness, love's light gleams,
A beacon guiding lost souls through the night,
With selfless grace, it mends the shattered dreams,
And sets our spirits soaring to new heights.

For love, the word that frees us from life's strain,
Remains our solace, eternal refrain.

. . . a souvenir of selfless stars salute,
                     shine and shimmer.

                    in a secured state:
         silvery shadows share secluded silence,
              scintillating, becoming dimmer.

              you -
       sustaining like a synchronized swimmer,
show me, our syllables still glimmer

The Most Selfless Creatures

I feel suffocated nowadays
amidst the pollution spreading at a fast pace
but I do see friendly hands approaching,
they save me at a situation that's life taking.
They are the reason our world still has some warmth
Let's conserve those plants before they are completely lost....
