She went to war against her foe,
A battle until the end,
A battle of spite against her will,
A battle inside her head,
You see, dying was what her brain wanted,
To kill her from inside,
But then she stood against her mind,
And refused to f###ing die,
She grew her venom, her malicious spite,
Became fully self-aware,
Ate good food, slept all night,
Mastering self-care,
She did everything her brain hated,
Until all those thoughts had died,
She beat her foe in her private war,
When she overcame her mind.
What whispering, wandering worries
Wash through your mind at night,
When sleep stays slippery and distant,
And stars strain softly for sight?
Do your thoughts surge and scatter,
Like restless, roaming seas,
A mind in tidal free-fall,
Pulled deep by unseen degrees?
Maybe the moments you managed that day,
Maybe the sentences said,
Like shells and soft shattered memories,
Still shifting inside of your head.
For me, it’s simple and certain,
No secrets, no stormy disguise,
My mind moves moon drawn and drifting
To the girl gently gracing my side.
She is my shore and still water,
My harbour from heavy waves,
Her legs, her laughter, her lips
Are the calm my current craves.
So I turn like a tide toward home,
Let the world wane and withdraw,
Held fast in her warm, waiting arms,
I sink into sleep’s soft shore.
Dark, stark is the path,
I control my wrath,
Trod forth,
Staying on course,
Wanting—needing—to reach the end
Just around the bend,
I pray, I hope,
I grope,
For I’ve travelled far and wide
Without a star to guide,
Without a light
In the night,
I sigh,
Cry,
Wipe tears,
Wish away fears,
And then, ahead
I see red
And greens, yellows, blues,
Various hues...
The sun is shining,
I’ve quit whining
For I’ve reached the end:
That place around the bend,
I shade my eyes
From the glow in the skies,
Peek at the land,
Stand
Strong and tall,
For I did not fall.
Just move your Arms and Legs! Do what you need to do... Take Action
I placed my attention on good things, and good things increased. I removed my attention from bad things, and bad things reduced.
I followed doubt; It locked me in tight spaces. I followed courage; It set me Free.
Without any effort, let go of whats tormenting you... Just for five minutes. No doubt it's a thought or a perception. Notice when it next arrives and leaves... Watch how it comes and goes... When it next goes, locate the silent space it was in and try to merge with that space... Place all of your attention there. - Just for five minutes...
I searched for pleasure and weakness was also there. I searched for discomfort and found strength.
An old feeling came back yesterday; It was triggered by a dream. It took him back to how he felt when he was just thirteen.
A claustrophobic darkness, with no air inside the room. Two days almost passed, he knows it wont last - but this feelings a tough one to move.
The first time it came unexpected, a bereavement invited it in. He couldnt explain how it felt to anyone, so decided to keep it all in.
He drowned it with cans of pure butane; Ignorning the words on the back. It said Solvent abuse can kill instantly! - But him - he had no cares for that.
He hushed it with Crime, Risk and Passion; and shiny things, Silver and Gold. He choked it with weed and grew all kinds of seeds, and met people he should not have known.
He lived a life full of extremes, and probably learned more than he should. He said there's a battle between right and wrong, and hes been called onto the side of good.
He said the battle was with demons, and they also sent out a call; it came in the form of a feeling, and was called - 'A Dark Night Of The Soul'.
(It will pass.)
Imagine getting sick of thinking what if.
Imagine getting sick of not believing in thyself.
Imagine waking up every morning with a goal and a plan.
Selah.
You work toward your goal vehemently.
And that plan you can always modify,
but from it you never relent.
Selah.
God blew His breath, which imbued in every crevice
Until our metaphysics lit up.
He made us in his image and to Him limits are nothing but devilish gimmicks.
Alas, then why would you ever accept such sophistry as limits?
Selah.
Imagine what you would have.
Imagine where you could be.
But most importantly, imagine who you would become.
Selah
It's ok to give yourself some time
Would you like to hear me rhyme
Hating yourself doesn't cost a dime
But it should pretty much be a crime.
It's ok to give yourself some time
Are you afraid you are going to lose your prime
Don't be, as practice can make your work sublime
You are a gem hidden inside all that grime.
Life seems to prepare the well-trodden road for me
I as a good mental patient
I throw boulders upon it so large
To create obstacles worthy of medals for me,
If I could overcome them.
I live with grace
While I crave the difficulty within every muscle fiber
I fear the already lived, the prepared
I want works out of my hands
Earning my living by my bread.
Hearing from below the earth
The moon singing reading the notes on the stars.
Sometimes late at night, when I try hard to sleep
I hear me talking to The Voice ,coming from my deep.
It was trying to show me,and tell what I truly am
And I was just busy, setting my morning alarm.
It yells at me and insists, something is very wrong
But I was in the playlist, changing my next song.
It says to me very loud, "This time I am not with You"
I was on my phone ,yes, I missed that too.
The Voice started to wail,it's not even worth a dime!
I frowned and I said "Have you even seen the time?"
Its yelping back at me,and makes it really clear
I got back to my thinking, and now I can feel the fear.
Alas! I heed it whispering, there is nothing wrong in fearing
I smirked back at it ,c'mon, I am hearing!
Your dreams are very big,and your efforts are very true
I am not backing down anymore,I find courage as my glue.
Follow your heart always, you will be on the right track
It all made sense to me,when I think it all back.
Don't let others stop you to rise, when you fall deep
I said, enough of this bull!now please let me sleep.
Jesus...He waits patiently, because He Loves us! Amen.
Shall we go on?
...came…His…tender inquiry
She didn’t answer...intent on remaining
in the shadowed dregs of her brokenness
And He allowed her to do so…
because He loved her…
and understood
So, He waited…
while she bewailed the unfairness of the times,
the cruelty of acts oppressive, the heaviness...
of it all! …He waited…as
She delved further into her complaints…even…
pointing a finger at Him…yet, He waited…
and never…
not for a moment…did He leave her side
Then, somewhere, in the interim’s timelessness
her angst and sobs subsided…
She lifted her eyes, acknowledged His Presence
and reached…
for His outstretched Hand
From Him…flowed…renewed Faith and Strength
…she smiled…
And…They Went On
The bigger you mentally are,
the bigger your wishes will be!
