Shall we go on? ...came…His…tender inquiry She didn’t answer...intent on remaining in the shadowed dregs of her brokenness And He allowed her to do so… because He loved her… and understood So, He waited… while she bewailed the unfairness of the times, the cruelty of acts oppressive, the heaviness... of it all! …He waited…as She delved further into her complaints…even… pointing a finger at Him…yet, He waited… and never… not for a moment…did He leave her side Then, somewhere, in the interim’s timelessness her angst and sobs subsided… She lifted her eyes, acknowledged His Presence and reached… for His outstretched Hand From Him…flowed…renewed Faith and Strength …she smiled… And…They Went On Ps 142:2, Is 30:18, 2Corn 12:9-10, Heb 4:15 copyright;jmsbell-2/25/19

I read this poem twice. The first time I wondered if I understood it. The second time I knew I did. Wonderful poem--thank you!

Yes, He is always waiting for us to come to Him. We want our own way and our own devices, but something always brings the Child of God back. I enjoyed reading your work. Thanks for the visit to my page. Sara
