#4: Time Always Minute

Time, inspired, now expired, on-site, sit tight.
all that stands subject to change constantly,
from one crossroads to milestone, overwrite,
the turning point, grains of sand, presently,
 exchanging circumstances pertinent,
time-space continuum, situations,
time-slot columns, sectional, alignment,
segments prepare a course of durations,
stages invent themselves accordingly,
time and again they reinvent the wholes,
tis uncompromising strengths ... primary,
repeat performance, seconds intervals,
full showcase entertains a split instant,
shifting affects all their pulled souls; constant.

Scars of Two Hearts Wholly Healed

there is a buttermilk cake in the oven
there is a vanilla cream pie on the table
there is a bucket of butter toffee kettle corn beside the sectional
there are several kinds of milk in the fridge

here we are away from the norm
we are enjoying each other's company
we are finally in our element of truth
so happy we are being honest with ourselves

perfectly full and happy
barely able to move and loving it
laughing endlessly and basking in the fullness of the joy
loving Love in Love's God To Honest Truth

Premium MemberDivide and Conquer

divide
               fractured, sectional
      separating, fragmenting, cleaving
segregation, dichotomy, triumph, obstacle
        vanquishing, defeating, seizing
                  spartan, victorious
                          conquer

Old School

We moved the sectional around
pushed the fleshy parts of the sofa
into hips and dips.
Too much of a hump for a Wednesday
or too early or late.
Finally out of breath
we sat side-by-side
sipping red wine from china cups,
underwear around ankles.

Premium MemberThe Reset Button

Career has developed huge glands
a surrogate, closing the eyes from loved ones.
Suit and tie on the pages of priority
sucking life away until age loses its lubricant.
Banks hold the candy, but only stored in the oceans
virtual becoming more real than evident links
absorbing trust, kindness and patience to make humanity less.
Power tussle of nations to show who owns the pie
while poverty and greed slips underneath to make it taste sour.
Religion and sectional identity, emerging lords
never voted for, yet mandated to sting.
What matters the most matters less
and what matters less is craved the most,
a lesson unlearned, not until attacked by a virus.
Lockdown necessitates a two-day hold of papa’s hand,
which is a hundred times more than the previous ten years.
Societal red flags normalized for the world to move fast,
family is life, to love is also to live.
When basics are complicated, the world needs a reset
no thanks to affliction, history still is the teacher.
Family, love and happiness, others should remain appendages
this should be on every flag when we are set free.

Premium MemberIf I Could Quintuplicate Myself

Forget cloning.
That is only one, right?

I want to quintuplicate myself.

If I could quintuplicate myself, we would call ourselves The Mighty Six.
We would have all the same ideas, life experiences, and feelings.
We could split up, going to different countries, to get acquainted with diverse cultures
Or we could sit around on a plush sectional with pillows, shaking our heads in rapid succession, agreeing on everything.

I see The Mighty Six annoying my relatives at Christmas, playing harmless silly tricks on them. Fooling them, two grandchildren each on each of our laps. Could anyone figure out who the original me is?

We would all refuse to tell, right? And we would all refuse to cook and clean.
We would give out no clues, the Mighty Six, united, and snotty.
I sit back and smile, imagining the glory and the fun of quintuplicating myself.
Dream-work ready, I close my eyes and begin to plot.

Premium MemberI Guess That's Enough

I am sitting in my favorite place in the whole world,
my office, facing my brand spanking new sectional,
the one Joe said would not fit in here.
Voila! It is here, and the leather couch is in
the garage to make sorting easier this summer.
There is always a method to my madness.

The art studio which is in complete disgusting shambles, is
attached by way of bathroom, so I am keeping those doors shut.
No need to remind myself there is lots to do; this is my day OFF after all.
Someone, namely, my husband, has turned the air on in my office.
It's struggling really hard, grunting because I have my door propped open.

He likes air, I like breeze. He likes Coke, I like Pepsi. He likes dark, I like light. He is slightly terrified of children, and I would bring a hundred home to live if I could afford it. I am amazed we have been getting along as well as we do. Amazingly well considering we fade each other on almost everything. Spirituality and politics, are two things we do agree upon, and love. We both know it's important to love. I think that's enough, really. It has been so far, fifty years worth.

Our Astounding President

Our Astounding President

Did discover there are those I do deplore
Who are the ones who I will always ignore
If more of them are in store for me next
This is preposterous and became perplexed.

They must be politicians who are many more
Getting so numerous we can't keep the score
All appear cumbersome are those in view
And on us ridiculous they grew and grew.

None of their plans looked like were well laid
And communicates having been conveyed
Was at the point we all finally had realized
We should have politicians institutionalized.

But unbeknownst to us and also by golly
They went to Virginia and California Poly
And about it not trying to get technical
They slept on sofa that was a sectional.

Wives had refused to allow them in bed
After down deep, dark path having been led
And one of them finally got God's consent
She soon will be next astounding President.

On the Long Drive To Change

on the long drive to change,
i didn't know at the time
when the realization came,
i was literally shaken clean
from the aged norm of my reality

on the defining interchange to new
scenes and settings, i was honestly
taken aback by being cared about
and given such a rare opportunity
for careful reconstruction

shocking was the journey and the discovery
of myself that i never thought i would learn
about through actual experiences that left
me healthily greedy for more and more each
day

on the next wave of a planning session,
i am now my own travel agent for more
than one and i never expected to be
such a ready participant or such a
determined trooper

i think it is the combination of memories and
loneliness in dark times that attributes to our
newborn, newfound passion

the fruit of the joy it brings keeps our juices
flowing and growing for the next anticipated
discovery

what once was is now 87 unleaded gasoline
and very dependable navigation....the map
of our lives....the reigniting of our once limited,
sectional, and broken tonalities

Been Pushed

Been Pushed

                  I got pushed by the
                  sensation of others;
For my price is to cross
                  but the hardest ways.

I got yet the most expensive
                  cross-sectional of life;
                  Making life much better!

                  I got all but once,
                  One of life sky-rocket
                  chance to height;
For the cost's one yet expensive.

I've got the truth in been pushed
                  and been pushed by
                  others desire.

Picasso

Sectional life in the boxes or wedges.
Bold colors, mixed up life
Were you evil or prophetic?
Was it all to be noticed?
Art you way, no explainations!
Subjects cross-sectioned, dissected,
Grossly or brilliantly created?
Art observed by the viewer, for the viewer to critique.

The Other Man

It seems her heart is sectional
and the piece she's given me to hold
is only one of three
and though I know I'll never mean
more than one and two
I'm happy to be as close as I am to you

and in the eyes of the other man
I can see her reflection
smiling as he smiles
of my acceptance

I can't deny how good it'd feel
to be the holder of all three
but share your heart with them I will
cause I'm just glad to be
one of three
and though I know I'll never mean
more than one and two
I'm happy to be as close as I am to you

and in the eyes of the other man
I hope he sees her reflection
and smiles as she smiles
of my acceptance

It'll take time to be more
than just another man
to the other man
but I pray someday I'll be,
more than just the other man
as we become a family
'cause though I know I'll never mean
more than one and two
I'm just happy to be as close as I am to you

It Was Only a Dream

I dozed off on the couch last night
My dreams took me to a place that was bright
Dazed where i was wasn't known
Trying to awaken i felt than i wasn't alone
A fear started growing inside of me
Trying to open my eyes so i could see
Felt as if i was being held down
Tried to scream but their was no sound
Finally i was able to get my self awaken
That moment of fear left me a little shaken
Awakening to a big surprise
I gazed in to two big brown eyes
As my eyes were still adjusting to this
My face was getting wetter with every kiss
This might sound romantic to some of you
But believe me this is so not true
On top of me laid my dog like i wasn't there
Stretched out without a care
I looked around and lights on is all that i seen
The house was lit up brighter than its ever been
I don't know why my dog felt she could lay on me
There was plenty of space we have a sectional you see
But why should i be surprised she done stranger things than this
Are dog is surely to put us through a few more years of bliss
