satin rain falls softly on leaves -
nature’s drink as a thirsty soul grieves.

It started with a gift
that many didn't know
raw emotions brought it swift
sad feelings did it show.

Satin summer sundays.
With the young children.
Picnicking in the shade 
Nana takes them to swim.

Watching while they play.
There growing so big.
Those memories we've  made.
Are, a most treasured gift.

Sewsaws and swings.
The roundabout spins.
As we reminisce.

Darting eyes, a naked flame,
Expectations, yet unnamed,
Strewn across a bedroom floor,
In-between, red satin sheets,
Rekindled heat, yearns once more,
Excitement, reaches higher,
Static sets the night on fire.

Versace runs toward orange and pink satin

what would Versace do with a little bit of pink and orange satin?
We cannot wait until he sees it; and of course, he runs to it.

Remembering My Green Satin Corset

I used to have a green corset.
I wore it when I was young and sexy.
My husband got crazy when I had it on.
The kids never knew; I did not advertise it.

It was fancy with lace, and lots of pretty satin.
There might have been tiny pearl buttons on it.
It was really something.

Sparkling Satin

It snowed overnight-
and a soft, white blanket turned
to ice neath the morning sun.

Blissful and serene
shining with smooth, rippled waves-
 it glowed like sparkling satin.
