T’would seem the edge of beauty unexposed
Relies upon the images it stirs
More so than that, forever’s loving rose
Though faded knows she was the one he chose
For memory, though dark, still holds its flame
Dim light to weave its way through grayish stones
Cold winds that whisper long forgotten names
As distant bells lament their silenced tones
Thus, does she speak in dandelion tongue
Her mocking beauty rivaling the sun
For love it seems remains forever young
Its whispers of forever - ever sung
For beauty is the guise of lust’s demise
Weeping beneath its shadowy grey skies

A big warm hug, a strong embrace
I brush the hair from off your face
Then look you deep into your eyes
So deep I find I'm lost inside
With both my hands, one on each cheek
I slowly bring your face towards me
I move towards yours, deadlocked in stare
Our eyes then close when halfway there
We know the way, our lips collide
Without a map, without a guide
And as we kiss the mortars fly
Chrysanthemums burst in the sky
Rivaling fourth of July
First kiss, a second is implied

Feeling romantic; in this seat of seventeen stories
This far up, I plainly see the wind beneath the bushes and trees
So tell me, Angel, in front of me, is this your view of our glories?
Did this experience give you peace enough to please?
Or was I boring to you with my thoughts, deep interrogatories?
When I enjoy the best of my life, from a bended pair of knees
It's because the weight is so great of our inventories
There is no scale I know of that measures to their degrees
But oh, the heat that is produced by such fabled stories
Rivaling a summer tradewinds warmest breeze

I seek not the the image,
Covered in fine clothes of silk,
Nor body decorated in gems and gold.
For what I seek is something hard to unravel,
Something rivaling the stars;
What I seek is not your earthly gains,
But what your soul shows from within.

The melting snow forms streams that join the river
Pale flowers wake and turn toward the light
Bees bumble by with pollen to deliver
Sweet cherry blossoms scent the air at night
The garden comes alive in an array
of scenes and colors rivaling Monet
The equinox sheds light on everything,
it's rising sun illuminating spring

Maestro’s violin floated to heaven ahead, clearing way for his gentle soul
Notes from Stradivarius warmed the angel’s hearts, reminding them
Rivaling classical melodies from other cloud realms, butterfly notes
Souls hearing the Stradivarius gravitated more quickly to the spirit realm
Floating to elegant luxury of the richest classical tones and whispers
Each heard their own unique life path, notes that nurtured winged selves.
Maestro recognized his instrument seconds after his soul left his body

It was covered by a blanket of moss
with a wood fence that looked as sturdy as
a young child’s craft project, stretching across
a patio, the memory of jazz.
It had a tower on the balcony,
reaching towards the moon in the midnight sky.
A witches’ tower made with alchemy
in which a kidnapped girl, hostage, would cry.
It has a fierce lean, rivaling that of
the famous Piza ruin, so extreme
it looks it will fall if you give a shove.
The castle, the image, must be a dream.
An old green forest, decaying behind
the stone castle, which I’m sure you can find.

There was never a stiller night
Before that seemed so brim with spite
Whose heavy fingers pressed my window
Which forked a tongue of lightning glow
That spoke at length with my state of blight.
Spider webs for clarity of thought
Snakes that hissed silently and were fraught
With hatred, were each my companion
Each rivaling to have dominion
But neither one respected my lot
And burning within those surly clouds
Was the stench of fear as a shroud
That surrendered not a word nor clue
As to what I must or mustn't do
To quell the voice within and without.

Caution
Coal and violets strewn among your bone
Frosted the night, icy glaze of patient fire
Bending and breaking as a knead
Stammer and as tremor, shallots sake
We play in the billiard righteous in wavery
Banner and bacon, in frivolous ache
And she flies high as one seed rivaling
A building stalking rancour
The peddling of this small river fish
Venturing in reference to a hone
A pyre of tigers eye the longest lead
The bones of balms are one ready
So like the turtle, wisely

Radiation stings sweet
Rivaling the burn of
Razor blades through my soul
Ready to leave a scar
Rupturing the healing
Right before the climax
Reflected in your eyes

Xanadu, a replica of paradise
A place of opulence and regalia
rivaling god’s wonderments on earth,
The very citadel of pomp and pageantry
Befitting the king of kings
The khan of all khans!
A palace showcasing
his immense power and
extent of his conquest.
A place of pleasure and finesse
a place of magnificence and beauty
a place to indulge in wildest whims
and personal quest to narcissism.
Is Xanadu a mythical place in Mongolia?
Or, a legendary palace built with
a giant dome to indulge
Kublai Khan’s every fantasy?!

The thinkers, vagabonds, creators, songwriters, dreamers
The tinkers, builders, inventors, musicians and schemers,
Running in their minds are ideas that jump outside each box.
They are wild and zany, rivaling the soul of a fox.
Rest of the world sits back in fear of their confidence and mirth.
They are the happiest, most joyful, enthusiastic people on earth.

The tulips are blooming out in full array
Lifting colorful cups to sway in the breeze,
Reds, yellows, and pinks appeared today
No longer fearing an early spring freeze.
Like a dance troupe they appear in pose
A performance anticipated at Eastertide,
In beauty rivaling the late summer rose
A spectrum of beauty never to be denied
While Mother Nature greens the earth,
Ethereal whispers glide through the trees
Echoing once again spring’s sounds of mirth
Everywhere this resurrection the eye sees.

Art Deco with her thin women
Pointed noses
Uppity attitudes
Elegant manner of dress
Art Deco with her square jaws
Curly ques made just so
Her flapper fringes
rivaling her outrageous hemlines
Art Deco with her ultra-modern ways
so shocking in the forties
when we listened to our shows on the radio
without seeing visuals
