BROTHERLY RIVAL
Boldly, brothers battle for bragging rights
Nigeria and Ghana, neighbors in night
Gigantic egos clash, a game of might
Healthy rivalry, or so it's in sight.4
Music, movies, memorable moments;
These brothers bit-in on each other's boats.
Nimble Nigerians navigate noble norms,
Ghanaians gaze, green with envy's forms8
Raucous rivalry reigns, a roaring storm
Eager eagles eye each other's form
Naija ninjas, the Eagles, no dey carry last
Ghana grits greatly with games of the past.¹²
Bold brothers boast, banter and jest
Raucous rivalry rocks, a restless nest
Eager eagles engage, in endless test
Sibling supremacy, a serious quest¹6
Nigeria's nobles navigate noble deeds
Ghana's giants gaze, with gleaming needs
Rivalry rages, a roaring blaze
Eager eagles eye, each other's ways²°
Bold brothers battle, for brotherly pride
Raucous rivalry reigns, far and wide
Ghana/Nigeria eagerly engage in endless stride
For sibling supremacy, so serious to put aside.²4

Local breweries abound
And in New York there can be found
Beers from Brooklyn and from Queens
And all the boroughs in-betweens.
My spouse and I, both city-born,
Love I.P.A.’s, so we were torn
About which brew would be the best,
So we devised a little test.
We purchase bottles and some cans
To see if we’d be equal fans
Of breweries from Brooklyn (me)
Or from the Bronx (his pedigree).
Though neither one deserved a rave,
The Hazy Bronx one was the fave
So I’ll concede it should be praised,
But I prefer where I was raised.

People want to pull me downtown Lester Brown
they wear sandals on their feet and my head wears a crown
prizes in their wicked eyes a cricket wicket bouncing highs
inside I’m a lion pride and they’re all pesky little flies
they land they bite but I don’t die never will but still they try
aiming all this hate at me competitors apparently
beating me would make their day but I’m not bothered anyway
some times they will celebrate
they say that I have been beaten
but I have no idea until one of them starts speaking
what they deem a victory doesn’t feel like a defeat
so I don’t even argue I just let them have their treat
they are not my competition but I’m the one they seek
they think if they pull me down they will not be so weak
blind to the fact whatever happens they’ll be the same freak
backwards people think this way they don’t stand from their seat
hoping that somebody will fall down on the concrete
so I’ll be the prize that they size up
I’m an Olympic medal
but I’ve heard of times they’ve mess up
the chain’s off as they pedal
making me the champion
and them Olympic Special

Screwed up eyes and a huge flush
By one fending off a blush,
After the surest glimpse of Her Crush
With an Eve of enveloping lush;
Something in her beginning to crash
Tony to no more escape a tongue-lash!
Her oval face soon the fullest flush,
At which no sensible man will rush,
It presuming to be about some thrush;
The very thought and idea a slush
Of one booking her a suite plush…
Serena is now complying with a hush
Not demanded by imposing lips
Not will her cost a half brush,
If she her lips speedily unzips,
Out letting her anger gush
Or her tongue steadily slips…
A Serena already edged out by Rival
With some ambition in her arrival.

God’s hell fire for weevil
Like his final for the Devil,
For the weevil is equally evil
To our rice never civil
And to its consumers a rival
Always some marvel
How it ends its travel
In the sealed bags it quarters
And the grain of rice it scatters!
I grant the weevil is insect
But why every grain dissect
And its wholesomeness affect?
Yes, not by a little real
The weevil cherishes cereal
But is it the wisdom of Daniel
And is it conceivably ideal
That holes it punctures in a nutrition
For consumers reserving malnutrition.

Scotland sees England as their biggest rival
the nation to beat down and torture.
but down here in England we see the Scots
as our neighbours just north of the border.
we view our rivals as Argies or Germans
and the French just south of the water,
we don't see the Scots with the hate that they've got
and we don't share a desire for slaughter.
they are our rival that we barely notice
yet we are theirs and important,
we must be the greatest for them to hate us
and though they erupt we sit dormant.
they join with the Irish and all those from Wales
enjoying the days England fails,
I don't know this hatred that they've generated
all I know is that Scotland smells!

It sits under my stairs,
It's been there a few weeks,
Growing more each day,
I put it off and do other stuff,
I hate that thing under my stirs.
I pass it ever day knowing it's there,
Mentaly asking it "to please go away",
I try to block it out as much as I can,
There comes that day and it has to be done.
An hour spending ironing teashirts, trousers and skirts
I hate doing that thing under my stirs,
After an hour I've had enough so I put it away,
I will go clean the toilet I prefer that anyday.

There you are before me in Manchester
My mum was never mad at me like this
My mum was never angry at me like this
My mum was never crying at me like this
My mum was never disillusioned at me like this
My mum was never screamed at me like this
My mum was never glared at me like this
My mum was never exiled at me like this
My mum was never hatred at me like this
My mum was never insane at me like this
My mum was never bitter at me like this
Because my mum is fecking dead

Survival of A Rival at a Revival
There does appear to be something about survival;
What we should do with any people who are a rival;
God was near;
Us He did hear,
And we were told to take them to a religious revival.
