The Lament of the Prodigal Son

Part of my inheritance I did receive,
Though unworthy was I that gift to conceive;
Younger in mind, and wilful in thought,
I went to a distant land and squandered what I brought.

I wasted my Father’s gift in a wanton way;
From Grace I departed, and fell far astray.
Then, passing into spiritual insensibility,
The husks of the swine I desired to share,
Whose keeper I was—yet none would spare;
I longed to eat what they were given,
Yet no man gave me aught, though I was driven.

Thus was my soul perishing, bereft of all answer,
Having lost the dignity of sonship I bore;
Not merely as a hireling, for some wage,
But even as an unworthy slave.

How shall I return, when I have no boldness to plead?
I see how my brethren thy commandments heed;
Their obedience they keep, without blame,
While I have cast away my sonship and name.

O Father, I have sinned; I have gone astray—
Yet behold my repentance, and look on me, I pray.

A Prayer unto the Lord

Longing for faith, my soul beneath the veil in grief did pine,
Till Thou didst teach that Grace alone bestows this gift divine.
Nor can repentance bear its fruit, nor contrite tears impart,
Except Thou cast perfect brokenness into the sinner's heart.

In showing me the true beginning of the way to Thee,
Thou humbledst Thyself unto hell's lowest deep;
The fearful gulf yawned wide beneath my wandering feet,
Yet Thou Thyself – the only Way – dost safely keep.

Thy Grace alone sustaineth whom the deeps would claim;
Thou stayest him that else were swallowed in despair.
Thou askest nought but tears in true repentance' name,
And mind made new by holy change and faithful prayer.

From Thee all things receive their life, their breath, their being;
Thou bringest forth from hell, corruption, passion's night;
Revealing purity no mortal thought can compass seeing,
And givest Living Water, lest the seeing soul should die.

May each inhale be Thy cold fire –
Ineffable, unseen, without beginning,
Unchanging, deathless, never to expire,
Intangible, yet all my being filling.

Justice Found in Repentance

The odd, faint of blood had soaked the sinner’s body.?
It was the blood of crying repentance unto Christ.
Laid upon a shore of stones,?the body rested where the rocks cut the holy waters.?
On its surface, shimmering stars were scattered by the hand of God.
Justice had been restored-at the cost of one’s life.
And the Sun now glorified one’s soul-for he’s who had witnessed it.
Yet what is the cost of justice?
It is the cost of one’s sanity..

Premium Member MY GARDEN

In my garden I am often ankle deep in peace
And my head is fleshed within the mind of God
When each day I root out weeds and dead growth
I remember the work still to do with sins remaining
Lying in the regions of roots and worms and serpents
And my soul feels the pull of the garden’s twin in paradise
And knows it can’t stay here much longer in the mud below
Suspended outside together with the poisoned demons
Breathing the same air as the malevolent hemlock
Swinging to the wicked rhythm of a perverse dark breeze
In the abandoned corner of this twin garden hiding
Hanging heavy in the land of the Harlot and the Unclean.

Godly repentance

Worldly grief leads
(No matter how long or brief)
To worldly death

Peter's grief leads to
Bitter weeping over sin
Three time denial

Judas' grief leads
To a self immolation
Self guilt no trial

Premium Member Repentance

Father, I behave less than perfect
yet You bless me, heighten my sense
of worth; indulging me, allowing me
to error that I may find truth by
course correction -- kept my ship
right afloat despite the storms of a
wayward defiant ego – my inclination
to turn from almighty direction, though
Your selfless Goodwill and Grace clearly
on vivid display throughout my life.
I come to You sorry and repentant,
approach Your Fount of Forgiveness and
Love for fresh benediction. Clearer eyed
and purer of heart. Lord have mercy.

Short Prayer of Repentance

Lord God, please forgive all my sins

Whatever are their means

Whatever are their effects

Do not bring me ill hex

I am sincerely sorry

For having offended Thee!

Repentance

a religious word is

the seeming suffering

needed to return to one's

better state~

without separation

repentance is found

to be that suffering

and its acceptance

are expressions of what

cannot be expressed but

often labeled as grace or

unconditional love~~

Unspoken Intimacies

You cup my face, and ease my mind
You sway my hips and make me rhyme
You contradict my silent death
And dissolve my selfish pride

Repentance Is Of Change In Behaviour

Repentance is of change in behaviour.
Unbelievers with no misbehaviour,
Do they so need to repent?
Yet believers do lament...
They are so far from Jesus- the saviour.

Lord,Bear With me

Bear , with me,Lord, upon my lonely way;
Your guiding hand I need to see the light,
And keep my soul from going astray.

My steps once led with a corrupted band;
We ran the streets where bullets ripped the night;
I know the cell and the cold and empty hand.

Despised and homeless,lost in my own land,
You kept me safe,allowed a second sight;
Now bear with me,I kneel to understand.

My heart turned cold to kindness freely shown;
I trod down paths of malice and strife,
And left behind a bitter seed I'd sown.

For what I did,let justice take its own;
I failed to amend my wasted,harmful life,
And now,with shattered pride,I stand alone.

Stripped of all pride,my hollow heart is bare;
Emptied of self,I know that you are right,
Bear with me,Lord,upon my lonely way

Ode to a Siren

Can you not be what you made me to see?
My siren song of woven poesy—
Sealing my choice on your brand with a roar—
Am I right, or have you blinded my core?
You are my mountains, my rivers, my hills.
Why, then, indictment after your cheap thrills?
Honeyed lips lie behind lipstick and paint;
My verdure, my air, my people you taint.
Your essence of playful epiphanies,
Perfect, filtered, adjusted sanctities,
Are the dreads of death in the heart of hearths—
A cavernous gloom of illusive arts.
And upon that stand, blow the Judas Kiss:
If repentance fails, who would be your tryst?

You cannot read their minds.
They hide their true intentions,
Like hunters do in blinds,
Too late for circumventions.

Baited by their chumming,
They boast by saying this,
"You cannot stop what's coming!"
Their assassins did not miss.

Cruel conquest brings them joy.
"Like a lion I raged!"
With their prey they will toy,
With sport they are engaged.

But lost in all this glory,
They fail to understand.
It's God who writes the story-
His responses are preplanned!

What you plot against Him,
While you celebrate your win,
Your win is just the prelim-
He will turn it into ruin!

Better consider the Cross!
Jesus died for gain, not loss.
He mocks their succumbing,
"You cannot stop what's coming!"

Premium Member Scream for Repentance

They shoot stars, don't they, when fame fades,
When mirror's lies scream for repentance

Moments

Today my mom kiss me , She said she would miss me
I was shocked, because I lost !!
I lost something precious
That is mysterious.
I lost every moment
With my family
That make everyone calmly
I always waste my time in study and study
I never go with my family
A human heart deadly
I am missing my all moments
But I invest that time in hardwork
But didn't get fruit of it
Isn't it a sign of blaster !!
But whatever it is !!
Now onwards I would value my family
I love them happily
