Notes About The Poem

2 Corinthians 7:8-16; Immolation means: offer as a sacrifice by killing or giving up to destruction (usually it is defined by destruction by fire. I am not using it that way in this case).

Godly Grief

Godly grief leads to
(no matter how long or brief)
Godly repentance

Worldly grief leads
(No matter how long or brief)
To worldly death

Peter's grief leads to
Bitter weeping over sin
Three time denial

Judas' grief leads
To a self immolation
Self guilt no trial
