"Nothing is impossible, the word itself says, "I'm possible!" ~ Audrey Hepburn
Two powerful words both very shockable.

"You can never cross the ocean until you have the courage to lose sight of the shore." ~ Christopher Columbus
Christopher Columbus opened wide the door,
to see and hear the ocean roar.

"Life is 10 percent what happens to me and 90 percent of how I react to it." ~ Charles Swindoll
In life I will not quit,
for God gave me the wit.

"If the wind will not serve, take the oars" ~ Latin Proverb
Will the wind open the doors?
Maybe showing sea dinosaurs.

"Fall seven times and stand up eight" ~ old proverb
What will be my fate?
Getting back up will make me great.

Each one here has a different meaning,
some from life and some from dreaming.

Premium Member I am going to quit her

it was an irritating time
frustrating and exasperating
I felt neither respected or honored
ignored and shunned; I had aged out

no one wants a seventy-year-old employee
they did what they could to dissuade me
God kept asking me “why are you doing this?”
I guess God never had the fear of a lack of money

Even when I did not need any more, I kept going
so He had to take me out
I think He said to his angels, “If she is not smart enough to quit
I am going to quit her.”
He gave me upper respiratory infection, lower respiratory infection
and pneumonia.

I was forced to quit
it was the best thing that ever happened to me
I went out kicking and screaming

Premium Member The Television Quit

Watching a programme
Sunday afternoon
The television
Blacked out5 suddenly
No sound no picture

Today is Tuesday
Three days of silence
No sound no picture
Only quietness
My thoughts telling me

It is time to write
I now hear the words
The pen is ready
To glide on the page
Now I will begin

Without the t.v.
Now to spend the time
Creating a poem
Or reading a book
Or mediate

Meanwhile searching
For a new t.v.
It will take awhile
Until one is found
At a decent price

I Can't Quit You

I wish I knew how to quit you
I wish leaving were simple
like turning towards the door
and not looking back
but when I reach for courage
it lets go
but you don’t

I need to let you go

it’s not a want

it’s a need

I hate you

I still want you

let me go

I don’t want you

I need you

I shouldn’t

Quitting you
it should be easy
it’s said to be easy
I wish it were easy
you don’t make it easy
but for some reason it’s
alluring because maybe
just maybe
you need me and
that doesn’t make it easy
you tug my leash
close enough to follow,
far enough to hunger

And it’s painful
leaving you hurts like
every step farther I take is
a whip
leaving marks I pretend not to see
I can’t help but look
and remember how much easier
it is to stay and
how foolish I am for leaving so
I come back but
you make me feel stupid again
why do you make me feel this way
each step away I take
I step back two more

I don’t know how to quit you

I wish I knew how to quit you

This whispered secret to each other
Binds us close and makes a lover
A sacred rule encapsulated
My stoic strength has been abated

The rules have changed, been disbanded
Desire to speak of loving candid
Challenged by a world's perspective
Of love so wrong to be infective

This heady lust, a sweet addiction
Greater than the lust of fiction
Forbidden love, a broken virtue
I wish I knew 'just' how to quit you

How To Quit You

"I wish I knew how to quit you"
You are my love addiction, dear,
Bound together by passion glue,
My heart with yearning, you did sear,

How to quit you, I wish I knew,
My love addiction, dear, you are,
Each day by day, my desire grew,
I am your moon, you are my star,

Between you and me, this flame burns,
This fervent ardour will not die,
It's an intense fire with returns,
It makes me smile, it makes me sigh,

Life with you is a fairy tale
With twists, but a happy ending,
Your manly scent, when I inhale,
    To seventh heaven, you're sending,

I crave for you each day and night,
    Our connection will glow anew,
Over time, we shall grow more tight,
Glad I don't know how to quit you.

The Seed That Wouldn’t Quit

They told me, “Stop, it’s not your way,
Your path is wrong, your sky is gray.”
But roots don’t listen to the crowd,
they grow beneath the noise so loud,
and reach for light they’ve never seen.

I walked the fields they never crossed,
counted the hours they thought were lost.
Their easy crowns were quickly worn,
but I kept building, thorn by thorn,
a truth that time would prove was keen.

For knowledge grows in patient ground,
in work where no applause is found.
And when the bloom began to rise,
their doubt turned slowly into eyes
that saw what silence had begun.

Now every leaf repeats the call:
the seed that fights will stand as tall
as any gift the storm may give -
for roots that choose their way to live
will always find the sun.

I Wish You'd Quit Drinking

When I think about you drinking alcohol,

I start to feel disgust.

Your absent-mindedness

makes all my feelings feel so just.

When you took alcohol from random men

and excused it—

it caused me distrust.

Seeing you wasted that time

really messed up all of my brain.

It makes me relive those moments—

and all I feel is pain.

When you got a ride from a man I don’t know,

it gave me disdain.

I want to be trusting,

but all that’s stuck inside my head.

I try to communicate,

and you argue what’s been said.

Now I’m not so comfortable

when you go drink at other places.

I’ve tried to speak it clearly,

but you don’t see the problem that it faces.

You’ve got you looking available,

and people trip over their laces.

You get so wasted

that you don’t know what you’re doing.

When you go out without me,

I’m scared you’ll do something unapproving.

You hang out with a bad influence—

and it leaves me disapproving.

I love you so much,

but it makes me feel disregarded.

It makes me so worried—

and my feelings are unguarded.

Premium Member New And Old Dreams

Dreams, new and old dreams, we all dream
We all dream of chocolate and ice cream
We all dream of monsters, bandits and angels
We all dream of good, bad guys and devils
That’s where nightmare comes into play
We all dreams of better days in May
When the temperature is cool, welcoming and warm
Spring fever brings hope, something new and calm
Living is about dreaming for a better and fruitful future
Without defying Mother Nature’s raft and thunder
Don’t stop dreaming
Don’t stop hoping
Don’t quit
Not even a bit
Keep fighting and dreaming for something better
That’s the essence of breathing like a new creature
From time to time, we forget our dreams
For diverse reasons like the summer streams
Wandering in the deep forests in search of the ocean
Which is miles away waiting for a benediction
We all dream. We dream awake or asleep
Simply be careful and prudent while away from the beep
We dream at night and at daytime
We dream and hope as we rhyme.

In A Box

You put me in a box—
'Cause that’s what makes you comfortable.
You put me in a box—
'Cause that’s what makes you strong.
You put me in a box
And tell me
That’s where I belong.

You put me in a box
To keep me
Contained.
Controlled.
You put me in a box
To strip away my soul.

You put me in a box
And seal it up tight.
You put me in a box
And think I won’t fight—
I’ll just curl up and quit.
But that’s not what you’ll get.

I don’t give a s***
How strong your box is.
I’m stronger.
Last longer.
Will conquer—
Your box.
Your rules.
Your sad expectations.
Imposed limitations.
No negotiations.

You’ll need a coffin
To keep me down and silent.
Because I’m all in.
Ain’t gonna fall in.
Gonna fight.
Get violent.
Damn your box.

How I Quit Jersey for Juliapa

It’s tattooed lightly on my upper arm
“I love my mom, and she loves me”, it reads.
A squad from Space Force dragged me in the weeds:
“We’ve nailed you, boy. You’ll do no further harm.”

I woke in Guatemala, feeling calm:
I knew that an American who pleads
such stuff as ‘habeas corpus’ oft succeeds,
and sought me out a lawyer, without qualm.

But asking for the consul caused alarm!
They deemed it, ‘most nefarious of deeds’.
The embassy said, “Out of all the breeds
of poison snakes, you lib’rals take the palm!”

“That mother-love thing brings no saving balm,
applying pressure to unanswered needs:
we’ve got your measure – tie-dye shirt and beads!
The type that once protested Vietnam!”

“You’re lucky that you didn’t buy the farm,
since MAGA’s down on surreptitious creeds.
Whoever hurts the orange leader, bleeds.
It’s anti-presidential, that there psalm.”

Premium Member A quit day

The dew, sunshine, autumn and spring
Nature stirs in virtue and the birds sing
Heart and soul flying on vibrant wings
With joy and delight in ample swing

In my garden with beauty and grace
I sit merging with serenity and calm
                                 Imbued with harmony and accord
Passing a day of fulfillment and ease

In the company of boughs and leaves
With beauty of flowers ready to bloom
                               Rejoicing aroma of retreating autumn
In cool breeze, blue sky and subtle sun

Beyond good and bad, high and low
Away from turmoil of worldly banes
In embrace of my vibe and ambiance
I live moments in silence and ecstasy

Dnt quit

When things go wrong, as they sometimes we'll and do.
When thr road you're trusting seems all up hill,
When the funds are low and the depts are high.
And you want to smile , but you ha e to sigh. When care is
Pressing you down a bit.
Rest!!!!
If you must, but dnt you quit!!!
Life is queen with Iya twists and turns .
As everyone of us sometimes learns and many a failure turns bout.
When he might have won had he struck it out.
Dnt give up!! Though the race seems slow, you mightsucced with another blow.
Often the goal is nearer than it seems to a faint and faltering men.
Often the struggler has given up, when he might have captured the Victor's cup and he learned to lat.
When the night slipped down how close he was to the golden crown.
Busses is failure turned inside out. The sliver tint of the clouds of doubt.
And you never can tell how close you are .
It may be near when it seems so far.
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hits.
It's when things seem worst that you must in quite

The Relentless Saga Part 2: The Eternal Defiance

To my last breath, I will live and defy,
unyielding in resolve, my enemies,
know this: I will never, ever yield.
Each strike you planned has only sparked my blaze,
a light so fierce it sears the world itself.

I rise beyond defeat, unbroken, whole
my life not mine alone, but theirs I guard.
I breathe, I fight, I live, unyielding flame,
the proof that I will not be overcome.
A warrior bound by love and rage alike,
burning through shadows, claiming the dawn.
