Best Quit Poems
What happens when the moon isn't up to her best?
She takes a break,
Dozes for a while,
And comes back shining brighter than she ever did!
What happens when the ocean waves lose their energy?
They lap at low tide,
Allow themselves some peace in their lonely expanse
Merely to enjoy the view of the night sky!
What happens when the day feels like she needs some time alone?
She breaks into a yawn,
A yawn which gets transmitted to us all living creatures
And she slips into a delightful dose!
But what happens when we humans feel like
The boulders that we carry on our shoulders
Have become too heavy for us?
What happens when we glance at our fate lines
And feel like we shall never make it to destination?
Why,
Instead of following nature's example,
We simply close our diaries, tear the stories up
And look out for other things to do
When all that is required,
Is a well deserved break,
One potent enough as to take our minds
Off our toils, have us sit back, breathe and relax,
Before we make our comeback!
Pray,
Is Existence not beautiful
When we quit solely at the moment
That we have been fated to?
Night stirred memories, once forgotten of the days
I burnt in love when you consumed my days,
and I carried you like a queen in the palanquin of my thoughts!
without forethought, to elbow out the marauding of memories,
I set out, travelling miles, my heart throbbing in my chest
my legs shaking and trembling, finally reaching your hermitage
casting away my stilted pride, expectant and anxious,
I waited at your doorstep to seize the moment
to renew a commitment and knocked hopefully at your door.
while listening intent for the approaching footsteps
and the sound of the key turning on the latch
did I see a face peering through the window, and quickly withdraw?
was it the face I longed to see?
time skipped quickly by, hours flitted
between limping dawns and staggering nights
how long had I waited there? Was it weeks, months, or years?
I knew roots had grown under my feet
and my body had vegetated into a tree
in Time’s eternal motion, the tree will remain there
as a trunk of fossilized dream till your love charges life into it!

Would You Love Me If I Wasn't A Poet? Sponsored by: Silent One
______________________________________________________________
If my words lacked flow, unadorned, and dry,
In the minds of those who mope and roam.
Poetry purls and parades its philharmonic prose.
If my ink dwindled, leaving pages bare.
Should you still sense my soul's splendor?
Where waltzing words entwine and endeavor
Would you still cherish me sans the poet's guise?
A stunning seemliness, a seraphic stake.
Now, we anticipate this mutual toast.
It's a tradition we've upheld, you and me.
for countless years.
However, what if I never compose?
What if my verses abruptly cease?
Will you still inure infatuation for me?
If my words no longer intertwine?
Will my verses strive to heave delight?
Even if they lack their former bright?
You offer unwavering support, truly!
My muse is born from deep happiness.
Delight in my dulcet discord—a deed
Without your input, my words carry no value.
It feels as if you favor my fantastic flexibility.
Poetry is in my blood; that verity is obvious.
Even if terms at times tangle.
I'm afraid you'll amplify apathy one day.
face futile files and fragmented facts
Still, your urging ubiquity dulls my iniquity.
A placid pithead packed with pride and purity.
Despite the ups and downs
You ceaselessly stood by me.
As my skills strive to strike success.
You are my source of strength.
In each verse I write, you praise
My poems find solace in your gaze.
But what if I stop being a poet?
Will you cast a blind eye?
Will my words still be worthwhile?
If I can't glide amid the lyrical birds,
I long for our ties to rise beyond rhyme.
May our love defy the flow of time.
You admire me beyond words.
But your mate is utterly unattainable.
Our steadfast solidarity supersedes art.
Don’t Quit
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you are trudging seems all uphill,
When funds are low, and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh.
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but don’t you quit!!
Life is ***** with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about
When you might have won,
If you’d stuck it out!
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow-
You may succeed with another blow.
Success is failure turned inside out-
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you can never tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far.
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit
Its when things seem worst that
You must not QUIT!!
Never Quit
Can you put together and combine each one?
Then when completed and are finally done
Many ideas in your mind caused much traffic
And soon became a poem which was a classic.
Hurdles and obstacles were to avoid and climb
While other subjects truly seemed so sublime
And another poem again would profit by
Even if some people would wonder why.
Have written poems which have numbered many
Are always far better than most and if at all any
My poems are put into a perfect, pleasant posture
So from all of them your mind surely may prosper.
From very first time my poems were sited
People were delighted and all felt invited
Which into your minds and emotions did fit
Would read again and again and could not quit.

like the raven
who taps taps upon
your chamber door
do not fret my Virginia
for it's my shadow
moving across the floor
this is what I'm telling you my darlin
and nothing more
beneath lattice
I still call your name
come to me virginia
come hear the tap tap
upon your chamber door
for only you my love
I surrender and never more
wind howls in blanket snows
here I stand so all alone
broken hearted and misconstrued
my Virginia who lies under stars and moon
just a tap tap upon your chambers door
tis I and nothing more
tales of hidas truth
blackbird sings harps cords
just like the tap tap upon your chambers door
my sweet Virgina whom I adore
for there'll be love waiting and nothing more
as I lay right next to you in this tomb
I counted only seven who have even knew
the times of this raven who
tapped tapped upon your chambers door
twas only I and will be never more

Feelings
expressed in words of endearment
A cheek stroking breeze on a hot Summer day
Cool of tile floor to walking bare feet
The squeeze of a hand.
A quick little hug
Tentative brushing the hair from your face
Following that with a tender embrace
Hoping you're hearing what I haven't said
and that it's some comfort to you instead
Trying to find words
in your moment of need
Is all I can think of to do
Maybe tomorrow I'll know what to say
I wish I could do it today
I left it there
Tucked into a warm corner
Beneath the ancient Elm.
I return frequently
To visit this moment
Bathe in its peace.
Listen for the rustle
Of leaves, the chatter
Of flippant squirrels.
Sink into the warmth
Of moistly scented soil
And crusted tree bark.
I left it there
That dream
That day.
I return
Longing to continue
That days dream.

Stop complainin’ ‘bout how much
yer stomach hurt
It’s yer own fault that yer feelin’ that way
Got a heavy Ding Dong diet
of cream-filled, empty truth lies
Low-cal info givin’ ya no energy news blues
Creatin’ irregular bowel movements
that keeps sendin’ ya ta da bathroom
It’s yer own double dog fault,
so quit yer bellyachin’
Just pop a truth pill that gives the fizz ...
suck the liquid medicin’ down,
drink all of it
And change yer diet, change it quick
Otherwise, yer gonna keep gettin’ sick
Dont quit,Dont regret,
Fly in the sky like a jet.
Even the tiny ants keep trying,
So are you gonna keep crying.
Dont be a whiny baby,
You can be the hulk maybe.
Just keep going on your track,
You should never look back.
I once suffered a hard defeat,
Learning from your mistakes is the biggest feat.
I keep going until I cant no more,
Run from the desert to the seashore.
Keep your motto to never quit,
keep going like a fluid.
Dont quit until you die,
As you know we live, we love, we lie.
When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're running seems all up hill,
When the funda are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile but you have to sigh.
When care is pressing you down a bit
Rest if you must but don't you quit!
Life is strange with it's twist and turns
As everyone of us sometimes learns.
And many a failure turns about
When you might have won but ypu struck out.
So don't give up though the pace seems slow,
You may succeed with another blow.
See succees is failure turned inside out.
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you can never see how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far.
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit,
Because it's when things seem wrong that YOU MUST NOT QUIT!

Someday soon
I'm gonna quit what's killing me
The pain in my side's not by choice
But I beg to be free
I remember the days
When it was all in fun
Now my head is loaded
And its aimed at this gun
I quit the beer....
But it never quit me
This first steps the hardest
And the anger goes deep
Most will say it's a downer
But it makes me feel good
My last chance is death
I'd give it up if I could
I look for reasons
To justify what I do
But I'm guessing it stems back
To my past that's the truth
I'm already broken
And it helps me write songs
This habit loves heartache
That's why we get along
I quit the beer....
But it never quit me
This first steps the hardest
And the anger goes deep
Most will say it's a downer
But it makes me feel good
My last chance is death, I'm full of regret
I'd give it up if I could
Poured out my last cold ones
Many times down the drain
To only go buy more
In just a few days
When my hearts steady racing
I pray to the Lord
Let me make it through this night, I see the good in my life
But He knows I'm lying once more
I quit the beer....
But it never quit me
This first steps the hardest......
And the anger goes....... deep
"I wish I knew how to quit you"
You are my love addiction, dear,
Bound together by passion glue,
My heart with yearning, you did sear,
How to quit you, I wish I knew,
My love addiction, dear, you are,
Each day by day, my desire grew,
I am your moon, you are my star,
Between you and me, this flame burns,
This fervent ardour will not die,
It's an intense fire with returns,
It makes me smile, it makes me sigh,
Life with you is a fairy tale
With twists, but a happy ending,
Your manly scent, when I inhale,
To seventh heaven, you're sending,
I crave for you each day and night,
Our connection will glow anew,
Over time, we shall grow more tight,
Glad I don't know how to quit you.

Never, Never Quit
When the entire universe is out
to do you in,
When you know you have both
morality and integrity,
My friend, what lies ahead of you
is one gigantic win!
For you have the wind at your back,
the sunshine on your face.
You are far, far above falsehoods and
jealous, human disgrace!
God and we, know you honor Him and
human life!
We acknowledge your courage and stand
behind you,in this moment of human strife.
