I wish I knew how to quit you
This whispered secret to each other
Binds us close and makes a lover
A sacred rule encapsulated
My stoic strength has been abated
The rules have changed, been disbanded
Desire to speak of loving candid
Challenged by a world's perspective
Of love so wrong to be infective
This heady lust, a sweet addiction
Greater than the lust of fiction
Forbidden love, a broken virtue
I wish I knew 'just' how to quit you
