Quavering Poems | Examples

My intent is wordless

In the wilderness of bewilderment,
Sculpting different sorts of thoughts,
Where intent fades, needing no interment,
And truth exudes from all its rots.

There lies the stark resolve for my future,
A slender hope of life ahead,
Bound together by a catgut suture,
That time corrodes until it's shed.

All kept away from prying eyes,
Ever before my intent was conceived,
Just to keep all sane minds apprised,
And safeguard each new blessings just received.

Intent is wordless, lost in speech,
Etched as imagery – symbol of hope,
Quavering conscience stays unbreached,
Through the darkness of intense doubt it gropes.

Cry baby

Everybody have something they crave to get ,
All shall face disappointments or even worse through their pursued of happiness, at the deep end of it all one might lose aura and the best of all shall put into work ending up surviving!
but You kept on crying, crying so hard you lost sight that the fight goes on! With your quavering voice , falling down slowly and painfully only raising the price of your horror!
look at you and tell me what you see the mirror won’t lie today for you shall see what you have become a cry babe .....

Premium Member If I Listened

If I listened would I hear the trill of peace
Sense the presence of its calm
Become the hum of gently tuned violin strings
Quavering in erotic fulfillment
Would the song of dancing thistles hold me captive
Allow its swaying tremolo to consume me

And clouds, oh distant clouds,
What mysteries would you share
Shaped within your wind-blown pantomime

Perhaps the eyes forever questions
Must be shielded
To allow the music of a raven’s wings
To share their black-silk feathered tune
Or ripples strum their fingers
Gently on a distant shore

Or is it in this listening
That I become
What I have heard

Premium Member Quetzal

Quaint multi coloured bird
Quilled feathers exotic
Quiffed plumage quite unique
Quintessence of beauty
Queen like, monogamous
Quavering mating call
Quixotic, soon extinct

I Tossed the First Stone

Would my life be happy
if I had never known
the quavering ripples I caused
by tossing that first stone

Tranquil waters of a lake,
would never slake my thirst

To a Liar

The color of your tongue
Rhymes not with your song:
No longer the deeper red
Of the truly well-fed
But the darker black
Of one in bare lack;
What lies do to the lips
And to The Dishonest that quips;
Your charcoal tongue, a mark of Cain
Spares you not a deserved pain…

And – see? – You‘re shivering
And your voice quavering;
A wetness on your right palm
And inability to remain calm…
Crazily twisting your middle finger,
Your replies beginning with linger:
A seven-word–per-minute,
With a face dully lit…

Only a straight cook at your eyes
And punishment becomes your prize;
Now you’ll have to release The True
Or you shall be jailed without a shoe?

Premium Member In Strangler's Wood Repost

In forest's night, the trees bend low
beneath a slice of half moon’s glow;
          silent shadows waver there,
chilled by gusts of autumn air.

Quavering, as if afraid,
they fall on stumps from trees decayed.
Among those stumps the shadows creep
and shroud a form that seems asleep.

Lightning flashes . . . Thunder peals.
A sight forlorn the light reveals -
a man, quite dead, in woolen coat,
with scarf of death left on his throat.

The shadows saw, and now they quake,
lone witnesses in murder’s wake.
They cannot speak, but if they could,
they’d tell all travelers of the wood:

"We’re not the foe. It’s one of you
that makes us tremble as we do.
Although we loom and cause you fear,
          something worse is lurking here."

Then Thunder echoes in accord
as from the sky, cold rain is poured.
And silent shadows start to shrink
into a night of blackened ink.

Premium Member Murder In the Tunnel

Baneful, manufactured decay
eerie, drab, atmosphere swaddles
stone walls wail, briny dismal tears
stagnant puddles, linger upon
ruinous, dreary, derelict paths

rancid foul stench, squalid minds
unlit musk, dank, tunnel conceals
societies obsolete, unruly
observing eyes, close in secret
quivering hands, steady weary stance,

shrieks echo through, high pitched whistles
malicious pit whines, engulfed in greed
screams absorbed, through murderous throat
stealing adrift shadows, to feast

fleeing terror, quavering legs sprint
stumbling towards, sunlight caress
as church bells chime, Sunday's hymns

I love you lady, singing velvet night sky,
singing azure violet wounded woolen stitch.
I love your lady quavering haunting cry,
intoning shades of purple in fevered pitch.

I love you lady, even trilling, scraping in torment,
your voice straining oppressed about strange fruit.
I love you lady dear star teaching your malcontent,
piping broken lyrics, imparting pain so acute.

I love you lady, you never knew a childhood,
you never rendered a cyan song the same way.
I love you lady, though you think my love no good,
it is you with whom I walk in the rain, preternatural every day.

Flame of Harlem, you gave so much to live. I listened, and I cried,
always my cherished one, so tragic how young you died.

We Fall

Mountains and the blue shores -
Nudging us to make right decisions.
Open horizons and rough winds -
Pushing us to try harder.
Quavering, as the cold air breaths on us.
Rhyming heartbeat, we're better than ever.

Systematic brains are loosing control
To the miraculous mind games.

Universe, synchronicities and
Virtue ; one more time, we fall.

quavering soul eclipse to blame
with smoldering fire's charring croon
they dared to play with such a flame
desoul the spiritlessness moon

with smoldering fire's charring croon
they came away so scorched in gloom
desoul the spiritlessness moon
tomb in fire that ashes consume

they came away so scorched in gloom
devouring embers stole the pain
tomb in fire that ashes consume
left with no apathy again

devouring embers stole the pain
they dared to play with such a flame
left with no apathy again
quavering soul eclipse to blame
