transparency is mirrored
you may stare
right through
my chest
only catching
your reflection
in the subterfuge
of rest
the self it splits & triplicates
stays bound by feet alone
an ecstasy of horrors
spliced & given space to roam
I'm undone yet placed on parchment
to bleed & bloom
in equal quarts
a reaching hand
that never grasps
with light & dark
ascending thoughts
all I need is printed
in signs & patterns
I can't read
as I float through all eternity
half-aware of warnings
I didn't fully heed

Human emotion
the exploration of
a
the underlain
topsoils of
clayey deposits
a camera merley captures it's sight
loamy the interconnectedness
beneath our feet
perfection in human sight
the depths of the alluvial outwash
pretty in every measure
quarts agate and gems
the treasures of a cobbled assortment
the perfections I marveled at the
crown jewel of the bunch
meditating on the dirt beneath our feet

Uhm, uh, ooh, auh, ooh
and Mmmmm,auh,ooh!
her sandles were full of clay and sand
she sat to enjoy agave edible flowers and stalks

Count Olaf Von Farlow was a few quarts low
He followed the scent, he followed his nose
Gonna do a fly-by, wide-eyed, don't you know
Gotta do a fly-by low, to detect the flow
Now, Count Olaf's down, and he's blood bank bound
Incisors sharpened, with moldy, molded crown
That's "Olaf Von Farlow"...never hyphened
The Teller there, unaware...got siphoned
Teenagers
Tired of being harassed
By your stupid parents
Act now
Stuppidly wanted
Pack your bags and your irrigants
Get up off your ass
Get a job
Fill out an application
Pay your own bills
Because you know everything
You know more than me
Your phone bill will sky rocket
I don’t have a clue
I don’t want to see red sirens
Put your big boy pants on
Don’t ask me for any more money
You can pay for your very own $900 rent payment
Don’t forget a roll of quarts for the laundry matt
Use paper plates
Don’t be crying to me
I don’t want to hear it
You are dying for your own independents
It’s time to do adult things
Enjoy
Red Slime: must you disguise your worth
aren't you treasure

Aren't you tresure
that a torch should solitify
you into a crystalized anomlly
aren't as much tresure as gold itself

the seperation of a wayer soaked claim
Mica Schits introduced me to
the Grayish Gold ore one desires
Ultramatic, tuff the stones of a sandy

Seems like not so long ago when we were kids
Walking through the woods behind the park
Playing cowboys and Indians, six guns on our hips
Never coming home till after dark
Morning would find us teaming up again
One behind the plate, one on the mound
Let the glove dangle from the handlebars
And ride our bikes all over town
Dutch Masters and a White Owl trying our first cigars
Playing grown up was pretty slick
Never thinking how we’d react
Laughing but so damn sick
Caterpillars in the trees come spring
Checking a robin’s egg waiting for it to hatch
Hiking behind Snake Hill on a hot day
Itching like hell from falling in a nettles patch
Saving pennies to buy a pack of Luckies
Never dreamed of growing old
A couple of quarts behind the Dutch Hill Dump
A little too brash, a little too bold
Time is the enemy of every child
Doing all that we ever could
So many gone and we were growing old
But I never thought I would
Poetry Soup is fun to make,
just follow this easy recipe.
First take a huge pot,
the internet.
Next add a cup of creativity,
with a cup of imagination.
Add four quarts of red ink,
liquid will be needed.
Stir well,
then start to add the flavors.
Pick the flavors you like best,
a dash of rhyme sounds good.
Maybe a spoon full of Etheree,
will add a sweet taste.
Add a little BIO for good luck,
remember to stir along the way.
As our pot and thoughts simmer,
we can get ready to taste.
Tasting what we have cooked as writers,
making our readers very happy.
Lindsey is Olde English for “Linden Tree by the brook”,
A tree universal, celebrated in many cultures being namely,
Doctor Tree, of Health, Feminine Arts, nook,
Of soothing calm, Light, Truth, an amulet tree,
Its deep shade is a knowing look,
Friends see another, marriages be happy,
For Heart shaped leaves do hook!
A Linden was at village centers,
Parks, Hospitals, court hearings,
Lining many noble’s garden shoulders,
Litigant conciliations endearing,
Testimony credible, curing opponent smolders,
Body ailments, “Quarts of Hurts” rearings,
Colds, skin blotches, spasms not enduring!
Volcanoes of bees, honey exquisite,
Perfume fragrance, edible leaves,
Salad makings requisite,
White or yellow tiny petal cleaves,
Linden shade hosts visits,
Motherly care, compassion sheaveings,
Fidelity, fraternity, matrimony, humble wits,
We need more Lindseys less poet leavings,
Lindens increase peace & alertness,
Be a Lert, we need more Lerts!

Two old guys who won ribbons each year
made a bet as the contest drew near:
If just one of them placed,
then the other, in haste,
would eat two quarts of chili, with beer.
For a change, kudos came to just one.
The hot chili with beer was no fun
for the poor loser Bart
who for two days did fart
while Joe Lee was hailed second to none.

Wily and creative in life, terrorizing in death
Understated breathless anticipation prances forth
jiggling quarts of kangaroo cacti exasperating my zany mother
I once met a thirsty man from Poughkeepsie--uh,
He drank four quarts a day of Diet Pepsi--uh,
It was certainly no dry joke
The over-saturated bloke
Died from an extremely rare case of dyspepsia.

One pint of sherry wine
says the recipe
which finds me asking
can I substitute a gallon of Chablis
or even quarts of Scotch or Bourbon
pretend I am wallowing in my past
quelling my misery
while waving my alcoholism in Death’s face
One pound of macaroons
It says
They’ll place their calories under my nose
add pounds
more than the mere seventeen
I gained when the doctor told me not to walk
creating this newest morbidly overweight me
not trifling with death here either
One quart of cream whipped
will leave me more than sedentary
stiff
actually
and one whole egg flaunts current conventions
thumbs its nose against my clogged arteries
and helps me laugh at the second
or third
helping of those air saturated
cream calories
standing tall over that
custard basted, wine soaked,
pound of Lady Fingers.
Reality is never what it seems
when trifles say they serve 12.

And...
I need 24 quarts of 2% milk;
Okay, "6 gallons of milk!"
No, sir, I want 24 quarts, it stays fresher that way!
But lady we only have that in Silk.
Then I want twenty four plastic containers,
Will you pick them up all in blue;
And then divide up those six gallons,
Just like I want you to do.
Well, I must ask my supervisor,
For I am very confused,
We don't usually offer that service,
I must ask and get back to you.
[I can put quarts up in my freezer;
Those big gallons just don't fit.
Then I can feed my kittens one at a time;
It just takes a little bit.
How many kittens do I have?
I thought you would never ask.
I have 48 on my property;
I'm known of the lady of cats.
