Pulls Poems

My Children This Book Pulls Back The Curtain of Our Limited Senses

When you don't know what to do.
Open this and it will speak to you!
Don't listen to a Religious man.
Get a translation you can understand.
In Luke's book 24:45 you will find.
Jesus had to open the Disciples minds!
Without God, you won't understand.
This book is His spiritual rescue plan.
We're born spiritually dead, alive in flesh.
About God and this life, we can only guess.
Hearing, seeing, smelling, touch and taste.
Yet spiritually blind, the whole human race.
In a physical plane that is finite too.
But an infinite spiritual world is all around you.
Jesus said he came to give sight to the blind.
He's called "The Word!" cause he'll open our mind.
Just pick this book up at least 30 minutes a day.
"Open my mind and heart!" is what you should pray!
Suddenly the plain words on the pages come alive.
And your spirit within begins to thrive!
You'll see things are deeper than they appear to be.
Because God will show you what the "Doubting World can't see.
Our minds are blinded due to our sins.
Just repent, ask God for help and they'll reopen again!

Premium MemberPrincess Inez Pulls a Fast One

Inez is hostile that she has to dress up for a prissy afternoon tea.
They braided hair and stuffed her into a gown designed by Lady Dee.
The gown is scratchy, lacy, stiff, fluffy, annoyingly so actually.
Fuming that she has to put up with this craziness, she begs to be free.

You are lucky to have such a gorgeous dress says her server girl.
Louise has an idea and shows her how the dress can swirl.
If you will trade places, I will be ever grateful forever she says.
The server girl is now dressed like the puffed up Miss Princess Inez.

Gurl, you’re becoming a memory now
One that I won’t care to miss
Gurl, you’re just becoming one of many memories
One I won’t miss anymore
You left, what do you expect

You’re just becoming one of many memories
One I won’t miss anymore
I pray that I’m stronger than your
Heartstring pulls
How you bring me back from your disappearance
No more
No
No
I pray that I’m stronger than your
Heartstrings pulls

Premium MemberWho Pulls Our Breath

who pulls our breath
and then exhales
rhythmically
by day and night

to find out
we follow the breath
becoming one with the flow
without interfering

silence
makes breath shallow
akin to sleep mode
in the waking state

if breath is erratic
it signals thoughts are present
so we keep watching
until all becomes quiet

we feel magnetism
and nodes within tingle
we celebrate without seeking
delighting in the play

we remain in the bardo
of object bereft no-thingness
feeling fontanel portal
throb with God’s vital force

the energy grid comes alive
soma nectar flows as it likes
grazing all nodes impartially
we become the current itself

in timeless time we return
opening our eyes slowly
feeling the humming renew
its divine caress so sublime

My friend Ben found a new position

            I whispered, 'Not so fast'

Poetry Pulls My Veins

My body’s wrapped in the vastness of poetry.
Like a prisoner, locked in a dungeon of hope.
Crawling through a poetic infantry
With a feeling my heart could never let elope.

My eyes were closed in sleep
Until this feeling got revealed.
It opened and I felt poetry so deep,
Dangling at the hidden figures that I marveled.

I laid my hand on my skin - so thin;
Like a mirror, I got the poetic glance.
Honestly, nothing could be seen
Except those words that embraced my pen with dance.

Inside me is a thought that could unsex a nation and seal due diligence.
Inside my veins are disobedient racist sages
Willing to end segregations' races.

Inside me are lines that can travel longer distances
And show the world success's instances.
Inside me are lines that can cure wounded souls
And lead them to healing doors.

No time to give up; my pen is bleeding.
Enough of energy is still needed to get this revolution speeding.
It’s time to rise and get poetry on the globe,
Decoding our memories in divers of hope.

WHEN MOTHER PULLS THE CART

Way back my classmate of middle school
Lost early on his father in the clutch of cancer
Destitute family cart mother was forced to pull
Clouds of trying times in the void sky he saw gather.

The study expenses weren’t easy to meet
He thought from the school he would drop out
But his mother said he needn’t, should never do it
She would soon find the way out, without any doubt.

He had no idea what that way could be
He was so assured, didn’t lose sleep over it
For he knew mother would do her best to see
Her bright son finished the school study with credit.

He woke up in the middle of a winter night
Found his mother’s bed empty, not slept on
When this happened routinely night after night
He decided to find out where she could’ve gone.

In the dead of cold night he went out to explore
Saw from the antique room a streak of light seep
He peeked through the keyhole of the closed door
She was stitching cloth bags, eyes half-closed in sleep.

Just Close My Eyes, and Pulls On the Sin

Just close my eyes, and pulls on the sin,
In the head naked women swarm in a crowd.
And I'm feel pity for them. Poor things!
My jealous wife, like a frenzied hound,
Meets them there with a rolling pin.

Who Pulls The Trigger

The degree of difficulty diminishes
conscience and justice dim
the fog of zealous denial.
A trigger is squeezed
each millimeter
an agony
each millisecond
a lifetime.

Sharp recoil awakens reality
SCAN QUICKLY TO SLOWY
ACQUIRE TARGET, RESIGHT
resist the pressure
of the trigger
resist the resistance to it.

Death comes
sometimes quickly
always slowly.
The finger compresses
time, life, right, wrong
milliseconds
millimeters.

In a large office
a “leader”
 looks at his hands
examines his nails
SCANS QUICKLY TO SLOWLY
ACQUIRES TARGET, RESIGHTS

This distant trigger finger
compresses a button
no conscience
no justice
no connection
to faces
dying.

Cupid Pulls Back the Bow

Oh, dreams that meet on magic summer nights,
And hide from hearts that never true love felt.
A love that without slumber sees no light,
Affection that in daylight is misdealt.

Do thoughts give flowers strength and will to bloom?
Or send sweet fragrance to a lover’s heart?
For many years thoughts dwelt in hope’s perfume.
Awake, my soul that I may feel love start.

Then, Cupid pulled his bow and struck my soul.
True love in all its glories came alive.
For in that instant I was fully whole.
And with you, dear, I knew that love could thrive.

Awake and happy, you, my dreams’ envoy,
For life with you has brought my greatest joy.

I feel the everything of you,
through spring... through fall my breath would run
across the towers of sky blue
and petals bless our crowning sun,
to grasp a language still undone.

Arrows brush lips , never amiss ,
beholding sighs fragrant as dew
which glaze the rawness of a kiss;
then softens late evening, anew
till we join freely in life's bliss.

Cupid Pulls Back the Bow

Cupid pulls back the bow
aiming right for the heart
He smiles as he lets go
A relationship starts

Love notes, flowers and kisses too
They're sure to make time to spend with each other
Of Cupid's visit they never had a clue
They could never imagine themeselves with another

Something's in the air as this couple's love grows
Soon there will be a new family
all because Cupid pulled back the bow
and the targets were hit with pure accuracy

Cupid Pulls Back the Bow

Cupid kindly help me,
   To woo my valentine.
   Release your golden arrows,
   The which, makes love divine.
   I'll shower her with kisses,
   And gifts, if given chance.
Now draw your bow and guide me,
   To start a fine romance.
Take aim, and touch her heartstrings,
Where love has lost it's fire.
And rouse her passion for me,
   With your arrows of desire.

Cupid Pulls Back the Bow

I have two words to say to you:
"Happy Valentine's Day!"
Sorry, I miscounted them--
I guess I'm no Hemingway

So let me think a bit
on what I want to convey,
I'm just trying to find the two
that lightly float up my airway

Search and search I must
to find two words my love,
you make me feel so wonderful,
like a hand warm in a glove

Now after exhausting my brain
and finding the perfect two,
the best words I can say
are those ones: "I Love You!"

Oh, come on! That's still three!!
Well, "Happy Valentine's Day!"
You know you're not with a genius,
but how's my Hemingway?
