God’s hands are softer than the snowflake.
His tender touch feels like falling dew,
blown by a gentle breeze~
Soothing as a whisper on the ear,
a feather-stroke that lulls us to sleep
as babies.
As it was in our cots,
His tender touch still cares—
a guiding light for our feet
against the serpent’s bite.
And when troubles torment,
He calms us with His soothing balm,
brushing our faces
until they sparkle with peace.
From infant cradles
to the courts of adulthood’s scorn,
His tender care endures.
He pours His grace
in the warmth of a prodigious embrace.
Though He has filled our lives
to the brim with His care,
His magnificence remains more vast
than the waters of the oceans.
Nothing compares to God’s tender touch:
refining us like the sunbeam’s glow
through the hands of a gentle potter,
flowing like the river’s nourishing stream,
to protect, to guide, to guard, to restore
our fragile souls.

Fragility is quite a strength
just as the crucial bumblebees’ breath
Perhaps not only titularly
gentleness is stronger than severity . . .
Channeling Emily Dickinson : To be a feather in a holocaust
– hope, sewn in the soul, sings the song needed most
A minor thought on regeneration : To regrow the leg the mantis lost
– a marvel on a molecular level - most miraculous
Of majestic beauty : To behold the fragile snowflake - winter’s impetus
– intricate masterpieces exist in the microscopic and minutest
Plant power is undisputed : To reap lemongrass’ healing gifts
– behold a beloved botanical treasure of abundant benefits
Quantity trumps quality when better suited : To cut out the mountains through erosive agency
– water as a weatherer works wondrously
Sources of energy : From the brilliant and prodigious mitochondrion - a natural wonder
to the multifaceted palm frond - suitable as tinder
It can certainly be said that, in the slight
one can perceive preternatural might
So, as the Scots say, “while we breathe we hope”
and our delicate operatives firmly stay a-float

Ohh prodigious tree, So how it feels now?
To be surrounded by the serenity of charm
The birds are finally gone, it's with you, your warm!
Ohh prodigious cloud, So how it feels now?
To shed off the burden, and sleep with the void
The water without you is devoid
But atleast, now you aren't paranoid!
Ohh prodigious lamp of oil, So how it feels now?
To dive into the darkness of night
Gone is the flame with it's light!
Ohh prodigious old currency, So how it feels now?
To be kept in the drawer as merely a memory
Lost is the value you once owned!

You are a warm cup of coffee
on a cold winter day.
Darkness, an abyss, the repudiated banned;
I'd rather suffocate in your shadows
than paddle in someone else's light.
You are a misinterpreted parsnip,
and I, the farmer in the fall.
Utopia in your eyes,
my pulsing heart bears your dawn,
and your name is ingrained in my mind.
My vigour of love nor the reasons metamorphose;
Our souls are entangled,
burgeoning the yarn loved by a cat.
Love is a disease; I am the patient
lingering for it eagerly.
I treasure you against all logic,
against all the sin in the world.
I can only solve the enigma with you.
When we are apart, I miss you
like the stars miss the sun at night.
There is a prodigious world seen in your eyes.
I am jealous of the mirror that sees you daily,
envious of the cozy blanket that envelops you.
Men squabble and crucify; even if I forfeit,
I will be the phoenix rising from the ashes for you.

Beyond the Vast ocean's kingdom
lies a splendid land without boredom;
there this wandering boy discovered real joy,
stumbling on beauty that defined harmony!
Other kids spent their entire afternoons
at the soccer field, he climbed many hills,
and the wonders he saw enriched his intellect:
was he a prodigious child or a would-be poet?
There he avidly consumed his fancy-free days
watching the big-winged eagles in swift flight,
and the noisy airplanes soar above white clouds;
he followed them 'till they disappeared in distance!
Did he choose soothing solitude as a means of escape,
running to idyllic places to jot down unrhythmical words
on his pad from the reflection he made on the landscape?
His peers lacked the imagination to pursue poetic thoughts!
Distance is grief, while time transforms his wrinkled looks,
not the vigor of youth that prompted many humorous jokes;
even now he remembers well that beyond the vast kingdom:
he can retrace the footsteps of his puberty to regain freedom!

Their ghastly buzzing’s in the air
targeting vegetation everywhere
They dive-bomb and guillotine
anything and everything green
Prodigious throngs of winged invaders
escaping from the ground
Moving in dark clouds of death
engulfing whatever’s around
They may be harmless for humanity
but the locusts’ noise drives us to insanity
Coming this May to my home state ~
though I’d prefer 17 more years to wait…

On a mild Spring’s night
In the heartlands of Ulster
A prodigious child was born
For Ireland, to save her
A man of modest means
Yet formidable wit
The mystics he joined
A cause to commit
In poems and paintings
He found self expression
Yet through a noble pursuit
Would leave his impression
He traversed the country
On a campaign of recruitment
To free the impoverished through struggle
And the Co-operative movement
With Horace Plunkett and Connolly
He struggled for justice
Yet the Gombeens and the despots
Outweighed Caesar Augustus
Though Russell did not stop
In this quest for social reform
From misery to prosperity
One sought to transform
But the inconsiderate dogma
Of the Irish Free State
Meant to delay his mission
As the ‘Homestead’ must wait
George William Russell grew older
Crippled by usury
To wretched cancer, succumbed
Rest in peace, ‘AE’

Infinity the eyes behold the ocean
At a distance the sky clinches the sea
Utopia it feels..
As prodigious ships return, others start sailing off
To wander in the vast sea space,
With no foot prints left behind to trace.
Worry not O soul, and let the waves lead
Trust them, for Mortals they always guide home
Be still, and let it sail

Four characters make the fantastic team,
after cosmic rays exposure in the outer space
on an experimental probing mission,
each member acquires unique prodigious abilities.
Fantastic Reed, the leader, a virtuoso scientist
and a shape-shifter intellectual strategist,
his wife Sue, with empowered invisibility weaves
force-fields as formidable defense asset.
Her younger hot-headed brother, Johnny, the human torch,
turns into flame and a blaze in flight.
Reed’s best friend, Ben, the thing, a mutated rock-skinned
superhuman monstrous powerhouse with a tender heart.
The Fantastic Four's adventures involve
exploration of the different spatial aspects,
roaming with fortitude through dimensions,
in the uncharted regions of the universe,
from the Negative Zone to the stellar space,
facing and dealing with cosmic and evil threats,
as a family team, dynamic albeit dysfunctional,
amalgamated by interpersonal relationship and solidarity.
An iconic and long-term segment of Marvel comics,
its impact extending beyond comics into other storylines,
The Fantastic Four are more than superheroes,
they are the first family of the Marvel Universe.

In the tranquil aura of a tropical clime
An idyllic scene, serene, pacific, sublime,
As paradisal souls basked in gold auspicious.
In peace, placid, prosperous, and prodigious.
There stands a sedate, an ethereal being.
It's a serene, glad coping; the knot is untying.
Gone are the times of delightful harmony.
She strolled rather softly, wanting to be.
In the tranquility of unruffled days.
She is peaceful and reserved in her ways.
She soothed the serenity of quiet.
Peace is serene in her finest climate.
Quietly, she led over life's hush path,
Lulled by the calm and restful aftermath,
Sedate and quiescent, she remained.
Silent and unshaken, quiet is sustained.
As a dove, she let peace bear hold.
Bringing a letup to the unrest untold.
In her pacific nature, she found solace.
Silence her weapon, her soother promise.

Like any good poet he was a tremendous liar.
A prodigious drinker (not essential but often helpful).
He gave us words that were open windows.
He sang in the Celtic way but not the tongue.
He had the gift to make old words new.
His passion shook foundations.
I heard that in his private life
he was a right bastard, but don't know for sure.
What I do know, is that he had music in his heart,
and that I probably would not have written
a damn thing without him.
