Peppering down, like too much salt,
the world's grounds are draped with deliberate deception.
All
"snow"men
now and then
overwhelm us.
"Will warm, wet weather
motivate more meltdown?"
Answer is axiomatic -
"Nature's non-negotiable."
(Axiomatic - self evident)
Peppering the season
Praising God, the reason
Prayers for hearts and souls
Peace that always consoles
Preparing us for One
Prince of Peace, He will stun
Pure love has just begun
While the milk cow hastens
Toward a worn barn,
Gray as the edges of melancholy,
Erasing the spring, breaking through Summer
Like Sunday, wearing her best suit
Rustling on the wings of Saturday’s robins,
Starving for Monday, while her words
Still the grief that comes from knowing
The week behind her will not come
Again, peppering the wind
With grace and love,
Intense as the passion, smiling
As milk flows, quietly blessing,
Trembling with songs,
Who reach through the shadows,
Singing melodies with soft eyes,
Brown like the trees,
Swaying softly, silencing every tear
Who dreams of a lasting peace,
Rich as milk who fills up the bucket,
Then the cup, tinting her coffee,
Soft blonde, like a woman whose heart
Melts with prayers spoken,
While the gentle heart sighs,
At a breathless moment when light,
Falls heavy against muddied silhouettes,
Against timbers, foundations
Who decide the cow can confide to the night,
Where peace hides, amid star strewn skies,
On flowing veils of the moon’s rising.
I am supposed to be writing
Poems for thank you cards,
And memory jars,
And collecting money
For presents and food
Before the party starts.
But I find myself hesitant,
Scribbling nonsense, peppering edges
Of the sheet with tiny stars.
Yet starting tomorrow
It would seem more real
And maybe dim this denying trance.
Rain pours down over the hills, like God’s tears
Jewels peppering petals, impulsive
Lightening rages in skies, bleeding fears
Wonders so amazing they’re compulsive
Jewels peppering petals, impulsive
Skating along roses, a faint pleasure
Wonders so amazing they’re compulsive
Creating hope in hearts, beyond measure
Skating along roses, a faint pleasure
Reflecting joy descending with showers
Creating hope in hearts, beyond measure
Nourishing the oaks, pines, all the flowers
Reflecting joy descending with showers
Risking all to abide in His sweet grace
Nourishing the oaks, pines, all the flowers
Knowing beautiful beyond any place
Risking all to abide in His sweet grace
Singing like stardust glistens, secret love
Knowing beautiful beyond any place
Soft light flowing down from heaven above
Singing like stardust glistens, secret love
Painting souls in music from falling rain
Soft light flowing down from heaven above
Here is more love than a heart can contain
Painting souls in music from falling rain
Lightening rages in skies, bleeding fears
Here is more love than a heart can contain
Rain pours down over the hills, like God’s tears
golden chestnut browns sparkling against natures reds and yellows
oaks, maples, sycamores, pregnant with autumn leaves
mammoth round topped giants peppering the countryside
climbed maybe in our youth, but many limbs are way up high
new hampshire is a showcase of beauty in october
before her mountains lose their variegated spotted leaves
walnuts, acorns and almonds are falling now
into the open paws of excited happy squirrels
Murder was served at the table.
The fellow is dead, not stable.
Page turned, nothing could be subtler -
Suspicion fell on the butler.
It was the salt and peppering -
It’s clear his oversteppering
was found out this night…all knives out.
Stone cold - the butler gave a shout.
The poison sealed the rim of glass
to coup de gras the loudmouth bass.
Another page was turned, we’d learn
the butler’s dead - a great concern!
The guests, now accuse each other,
but one by one they fall. Bother!
Who hates them all? Who’s caused this strife?
One’s still standing - the butler’s wife!
The reader, glares at the writer,
declares it was a nail biter.
She tells the author to drink up.
He hopes it is a loving cup.

Chose #2 - SUSPICION FELL ON THE BUTLER
In
sullen
graveyard of
souls a heavy
mist peppering down,
across granite tombstones;
here lie centuries, stories,
that only the listening soul
may hear and reveal in numerous
ways and in its revelations, improve us;
the soul has powers beyond our finite minds.
I seek You in the morning
When my senses are alive
Alerting me to any troubles
Filling me with joy and praise
For the One who stills my spirit
Gives me hope and inspiration
To pray for those things that
Bring wisdom, kindness, faith
Love that knows no darkness
Only light that lifts the heart
Reflecting smiles and insight
Into the hues of a melody
Shimmering with laughing
Souls who bring peace to the
One who listens to God’s heart!
Silence fills the dawn with light
Brilliant hues of kindness, insight
Peppering my mind with healing
All my thoughts are revealing
Breath of serenity, love full of wonder
Reminding me why I feel so much
Beyond the stillness, a sweet fulfillment
Calming my soul with beautiful warmth
Sensations of elation filling me up
With a vibrant passion, colors of hope
Reminding me that I am so loved!
Late afternoon walks on balmy summer evenings
Nothing beats peppering raindrops lick licking my skin
Icy droplets pelt down, the size of a pin
Refresh like no other the heat from within
So I walk and walk off the end of the day
Feeling fresher and cooler every step of the way
Clean aromas; damp earth and brick paving paths
Sweet blooming flowers in lush green dewed grass
It’s a feast of the senses, I’m inclined to say
This is by far the best way to complete my day
Sitting a while on the steps by the door
I watch the sun setting, till Sol is no more
The skies darken down to a dim coley black
Luna’s taken front stage; her glittering cloak on her back
She twinkles and shines while I bustle inside
Her beauty forgotten, till thick curtains are brushed to the side
Now lying in bed watching Luna’s soft light
Slumber tugs at my eyes, drifting fantasies take flight
But before I drop into Dreamland
Goodnight … Goodnight
28.10.21
After peppering a tower of light
the flight froths over.
A bloom of wings falling,
then,
the dark shower
turning as one.
Puddles of sky splash open
speckled by black flint heads.
Wings spume.
Better I don't know
if this dance is choreographed
or a grace
thrown from the very thing
that is flung.
Better a dazzled surmise.
I want only
to feel what those dark foils feel
as they carve out space,
then turn (seeking nothing),
into a spiraling carousel;
as a visual vowel of wonder.
In an inkling
Sunlight flickers out
Hidden behind dark clouds
Dimming even my reflections
In an inkling
Raindrops caress my skin
Refreshing, reviving
Even my thoughts are adventures
In an inkling
Leaves in hues of green
Dance, twirling in the wind
Enlightening my wildest dreams
In an inkling
Rivers flow across smooth stones
So alive, yet so alone
Winding their way toward the sea
In an inkling
Seasons change the air
Gracing hearts with prayers
Peppering life with serenity so rare
In an inkling
Rainbows breathe hope
Painting souls in shades of glory
Gentling even the blistering sun
In an inkling
Morning rouses the spirit
Reveries capture kind feelings
Inspirations fall over nature’s miracles
In an inkling
God opens the door for joy
Blessing us all with pure faith
Poured out on those who know grace
In an inkling
Love beckons the heart
Inspiring affections and thoughts
Of generosity, understanding and praise
In an inkling
My idyll thoughts flicker
With images far in the distance
Of a heaven where I can grow sweeter

Soothing rainfall murmurs softly
Painting my heart with a quiet song
Breathing out music in rhythmic
Beats, pulsating through me all day long
Solace throbbing within my soul
Dancing in waves of sensitivity and hope
Blessings from heaven come to earth
Nurturing prayers within a kaleidoscope
Colors in hues of redemption and grace
Warming hearts with sprinkles of love
Peppering thoughts with inspirational tones
Praising in gracious whispers I’m in awe of
Lavender laughter sparkles in the feelings
Breaking through shadows with flawless light
Poems of dreamy eventide glowing, growing
Deliciously alive, thriving through the night
Like a buttery sunshine grows large in the sky
Compassion so promising assures of insight
That is wise and kind, shimmering brightly
Falling silently, swiftly, guiding hearts to write

Miss Kentucky April arrives on gentle breeze
Blowing the new-born leaves on ornamental trees,
But we know Miss April is playing us a trick,
Dangerous hard hailstorms can pop up just as quick.
April always seems like the beginning of spring
But the middle of the month can easily bring
A peppering of light snowflakes come drifting down,
The sudden cold temperatures will make us frown.
“It is just blackberry winter,” our elders say
Hoping the sudden cold weather will soon give way,
When Miss April bursts of color in daffodils
Dandelions and violets the meadow fills
Before we know it, Miss April brings blowing rains,
Clogging gutters, occasionally our storm drains.
Miss April says to put away our winter coat
For winter is over, and that is all she wrote!

Penetrating rays of vibrant sunshine
Pierce through the darkness
Night’s black cruelty, ruthless
Angst assuring the shadows
Of dismal confusion, hysteria
A phrenzy of muddy discouragement
The sun winks through snowy clouds
Breaking across the azure scene
Fulfilling the yearning for a whisper
Of serenity caressing the spirit
Coloring the heart in hues of compassion
Musical cords of soft inspiration soothing
With this brilliant light, the sun rising
Across the edge of a stormy past
Suffering the melancholy and peppering
Of powerful sparks, like fire glimmering,
Reaching through the darkest thoughts
To breathe flames of joy and insight
Almost like a song, the music plays on
In the waves of soft fluffy clouds
Where harmony is known as love that lives
On prayers of faith and hopes built by
Grace, amazing and alive, steeling
All worries and fears with deepest feeling
Sunlight enriches the delights of hearts
Who know Love is alive, a fire on the inside
Rustling with wonders, flavors of desire
Clever ideas that bring with them truth
Inspired by the heavenly hope we know
As God, the most brilliant light of them all
