Grown up gaunt and ghostly?
Forlorn, forgotten, few.
Holy is the host? Well, see...
Day of wrath, thy dew.
Warlord, hold the highest ground?
Strongest in the sound!
Giant, issue from thy mound!
Blight them with thy bound!
Tyrant of the battlefield?
Come back on thy shield?
Only if the wound's unhealed!
Thunder, how you pealed!
Mercy? Full the harvest moon!
Tympani, thy tune!
Rampart castle, cast the rune!
Bane, bone, bind the boon!
Epic end to story?
O human race, take heed:
Morning, hast thou glory?
Prisoner doomed, just plead...
Bad? Give over what you had?
Storm gods, send thy cloud!
Make the devil mighty glad!
Burial, thy shroud...

Her lover's kiss
Fell on her cheeks like gentle rain
Her lover's kiss
Filled her with ecstasy and bliss
Thunder pealed, sweet kisses again
Heartbeats pound with passion's refrain
Her lover's kiss

A friend said
a little mulch
and planting
is what it takes
to transform a yard.
She bought flowers
in spring
as a gift to herself.
She laid the mulch
and planted the flowers
around a tree.
She cried out
for last night’s storm
and all life
a touch of rain could bring.
She said
after her divorce
every transgression
could be forgiven
with a little sun.
After moving back
to her hometown
it was time to start again.
She said
that her two sons
would bring their wives
and come back
for an Easter brunch
when stories told
around the table
would fine new life.
She knelt in the yard
and spring kissed her
on the cheek.
as a warm breeze blew.
A church bell pealed
such joy found
when young girls
dressed in white
holding lilies
danced along the sidewalk.

There is a sadness soothing to the soul,
And with its smoothing, Herakles made whole.
And deep within him, pealed a bell,
And those who hear, must harken well:
For from the void, its rhythms swell,
And all contrivance shall it quell!

Can you hear my heartbeat
To the sound of little feet
Running around me meowing
Like a cat or barking
Can you hear my jilted fears
Pealed away like green pear skins
Rebuked by real and imagined sins
Flipped like a pancake drenched in syrup
Then like a cowgirl in stirrups
Ridden past green trees and tumbleweed
Until the heartbeats aren’t tumbling
Into the abyss of a denied kiss
I can hear it in my ear
Strong steady ready for what comes
Will you be the mystery mahogany inspiring
My hearts beating all odds
Humor me and sing a melody
Share and care dare to be
Red bleeding heart on a sleeve

In the vortex of a maelstrom, I was rudely thrown
drowning in turbulent waters for an error I bemoan,
a blunder of loving someone who chose to whittle
away at my heart until it became fragile and brittle
Bereft beyond the point of caring if I lived or died
My eyes were scarlet, burning from tears I'd cried
But they became transfixed, immutable on a fire stoked
for my normally tenuous demeanor had been provoked
I was a genteel lady, who demurely acquiesced to love
but it was time for me to throw down the gauntlet glove
I was chaffed by what had been just an interlude for him,
an escapade, a mere dalliance, a rascally romantic whim
I drew a rough sketch; in likeness of my vagabond swain
an abstract portrait, in Picasso's style, the face of my bane
Black eyes were hollow, blind orbs that would never see
that his trifling peccadillo tryst was a brutal betrayal to me
The painting was delivered as twelve bells pealed midnight
I watched as he unwrapped it, but carefully kept out of sight
A formidable opponent I had become to his knavish ways
In the moonlight his face turned pale; his eyes were glazed

The poetry of the sapphire in your stirring eye's
oceanic grace,
a strand of pearls on your regal neck of a
soft swan,
on a lake of symphonic dreams splendor
gliding in your grandeur.
Our Diana, your presence of ladylike style
and fashion,
you spoke in feminine melodies.
The people's princess, we loved you
from afar,
your sandy colored hair coiffed elegantly,
charitable and caring humanitarian.
Tiara of silver and diamonds,
of a demure humility.
You sleep, dear beauty,
in Britain's sorrow that swept through
many nations.
How we wept as the cathedral bells pealed
the mourning day of your funeral.
Your legend of love for your sons,
of your triumph from tears-
our Diana, lovely as a summer garden,
blushing English rose eternal. ~

I hope I am appealing to you
See I am big and yellow not blue
You hunger for sweets
I could be your eats
You pealed and ate me all up ~ who knew

Moonlighting In June
Doctor Jekyll's special starling,
shortly pealed off, started snarling,
molting inside,
till speaks Miss. Hyde,
"Tough to be out cliched, darling."

“To that Infinite, limitless, endless, eternal, everlasting, boundless, bottomless, unbroken Spirit I bow in adoration forever.” - From the depth of my heart.
"Infinite" is the universe you've created,
Marvelously designed planets, the Milky way;
Each atom minutely, meticulously weighed,
All moving in an "unbroken" heavenly sway...
"Everlasting" is your mercies O, my Master!
Each creature benignly you show motherly care;
Being the sheep of your benevolent pasture,
I live in joys "endless" and feel no any scare...
"Bottomless" is your well of love that overflows,
Quenching the spiritual thirst of each creature;
In "Boundless" ways your loving mercies stand so close,
To those who make your paths their real adventure...
No one knows your "eternal" plans; they are revealed,
Like petals of flowers timely skillfully peeled;
By your "limitless" graces universe is healed,
Only to dwell with you, Lord, may my death-knell pealed...

My senses swam dizzy as clouds,
I faced her wrath though it bite as a sword,
It pealed through my brain like a muffled bell,
And racked my ears like an explosion of steam-whistles.
I'm in my mud house dreaming about who we used to be,
When love was all that we had,
Now, there's such a difference between us,
And a million miles,
Loving you again is as futile as to oppose an earthquake with argument.
Restless, sore and haughty feelings were busy within,
So she must've called a thousand times,
To tell me she's so sorry for breaking my heart,
But when she called, I never seem to answer.
Like a festooned girdle encircling the waist of a bride,
I weaved my dreams and trust around her,
But she messed it up because I had nothing to my name,
And I have forgiven and forgotten her but we would forever remain miles apart.

It pealed through our brains like a muffled bell,
And racked our ears like an explosion of steam-whistles,
Again, in our blood streams,
It ran as clear as a trout-brook.
We were too blind to see,
And very naive to understand,
Our parents and teachers didn't tell us the truth,
It's now wrecking our gloomy souls to shreds.
It has cost us more than we can give,
Blood and sweat!
And the lives of our fathers, mothers, sons and daughters,
Yet, we are still paying the price.
It stung like a frozen lash,
And staggered the eye, like the sight of water running up hill,
Soft as a zephyr and hard like rock, our words treaded,
Eventually, we might all die of poverty and pains.

Sun is in my eyes
Waiting for lamb without any fries
The potatoes have a crispy feel
After they were cooked and pealed
I move an inch and the sun gets block
While my seat stays warm and hot
Since the winter here is like an appetizer
With a small bite that makes us start up a fire
As the winter decides its ready to go
Only staying a spell, you know
Its bitterness took out a room and decided to be a guest
Making us bundle up in our finest wintry dress.
A cloud just stepped in
Making this one seat a win
It protected my eye
From the brightness in the sky
Patiently the dish I wait for
Before heading out the door
Here comes the Sunday dinner
from an animal that was sent to earth
to protect us from being a sinner
Shade has just checked in and turned things comfortably dark
To enjoy this weekly tradition that really hits the mark
After all the plates are clear
And having a feeling of nothing to fear
Since it was the lamb that went down
Smothered in gravy that was brown.
Time to prepare for tomorrow
With hopes of no Monday morning horror
But if adversity should arise
I will be armed since I had lamb without any fries

She stood, tall as temper,
face looking like a monster.
Her eyes sparkled with blood
as if coming through a flood.
She bared four black canines,
passing across dreaded signs.
The face glowed, an ebony
her heart throbbed with agony.
She soon let the cutters part,
aired pent-up brewing heart.
While the thunder yet pealed
fresh layers of anger peeled
letting a black demon loose;
slimy dark fluid began to ooze.
Tried my best to douse the fire,
but already a burst tyre.
She glared at me and heeled,
pointing a finger, she squealed.
I looked, dusk was homing fast.
As Annie growled, she gassed,
darted to the gate and fled;
doves hushed in their shed.
Yet to see a bitter barker:
A she shorter than temper.
