Land Of The Pearl Of The Orient

Someone has said that every generation
Has its golden lipstick era
Philippines is not like that
It's always beautiful and stunning
A special beauty for all ages
Glittering golden beaches
Somewhere in every island corner
Of thousands islets in the Philippines
More so its unique lineage genealogy
From the primitives to the occupants
Conglomerating all races into one
Making the brown race formidable
A diasphora race around the globe
Sharing joy, talents and services
The culture, the food, the hospitality
Affecting the leaven bread of the world
I invite the people of the world to visit us
What the Philippines can offer to all races
Come, borrow the wind to fly
To the magical land that shines
As white as the pearl of the orient seas.

Murder on the Orient Express--just?
Shorter the fuse tighten the screws,
sharper stuns the rushed, drug delays the hushed,
marker trashed refuse, clues confuse.

'Morning after sharpened scours the given,
charming entertains the witty,
earning their forthcoming thwarts admission,
forming and sorting out gritty.

Straightforward clues like manna from Heaven,
page foreword; Farmer's Almanac,
date onward, sow-reap, from whence transgression?
Came forward all, the common task.

Burdened heavily, labored the righteous,
incessantly drew in favor,
descendancy ends by the impious,
death penalty, all-signed ... waiver.

                      Adieu, Poirot

We three pups of Orient are….
Lounging in stockings, not so far.
Shield and mountain, paws and fountains,
Following yonder star….

Oh, oh….
Star of wonder, star of bite
Star of normal beauty, bright,
Westward leading, teeth receding…
Give us our bones, we want tonight.

Land of the seas and glorious sunshine
Sparkling Pearl of the Orient Sealine

Strategically and truly well-placed
This great country's sun-kissed islands are laced

Lined up with palm fronds and coconut trees
salubrious climate that drives cool breeze

Pearls of Heaven lay scattered in the sea
Are the beautiful islands that we see

Historic past meets glorious future
Modern Philippines is poised to feature

Advancement in science, technology
Coupled with the country's topology

The common man is honest and simple
Hard work and forbearance is the symbol

Tributes to the great hero Jose Rizal
Somehow nation's progress is a puzzle

There are some problems that are hard to solve
But Philipino spirit can resolve

Economic revival it may face
With certain ingenuity and grace

Pearl of the Orient is she -
mountains lush and beaches pristine,
the flowering banaba tree,
and loveliness that gleams in green.

Let your eyes on her beauty feast.
Pearl of the Orient is she -
bound by an ocean to the east;
to the west the South China Sea.

Oh, let me be there so carefree,
barefoot on sands of Baracay.
Pearl of the Orient is she.
In her waters I wish to play.

Gems are her friendly people too.
Their many islands call to me
and Philippine Sea’s azure blue.
Pearl of the Orient is she.

Pearl of the Orient,
the archipelagic goddess of the Sea,
beautiful as the Magindara,
who's siren song calls to me,

her soul is as rich and sweet,
as the chocolate hills of her bosom,
terraces act as stairways to her heart,
where she bleeds of Red Jasper,

her eyes are lustrous and alluring,
glowing like star lanterns and fireflies,
the North Star and Southern Cross,
to my astronavigation of clinquant skies,

she is kissed by the Sun and caressed by the Moon,
forever cradled in an oceanic embrace,
esteemed by the Earth,
and as pure as the Sampaguita.

she is a pendant worn around the neck of our celestial body,
resting nearest to the heart,
its most precious gem,
Pearl of the Orient.

Donning splendiferous landscapes stretching for miles,
A culture that aptly prides, in bold, welcoming smiles;
A thriving land of islands~ an archipelago evincing awe,
A resplendence of nature, an exclamation of hurrah.

Sandy beaches embrace realms of pristine coastline,
Harboring lush foliage, embodying sublimity divine,
Of marine life, corals, reveling warmth of idyllic clime,
Reminiscent of paradise, of placidity, stilled in time.

Fun loving, amiable, proud tradition extolling grace,
Quaint, yet modern, is the vibrant vibe of this place;
Of museums, antiques, art galleries, buzzing cafe,
Of hotels, casinos, of famed sunsets on Manila Bay.

Luzon, the Visayas, Mindanao~ gems of the blue sea,
Living in tranquility, projecting utter beauty and glee;
Islands of hospitality, homeland of a privileged few,
A magnificent portrait, upon sea-canvas nature drew.

Philippines~ an acclaimed, lauded, pearl of the Orient,
Rich in diverse culture, her allure citizens augment,
Pulsating rhythms of hearts and souls, worthy of praise;
A treasure preserved, revered since the ancient days.

A place of 7000 islands
and natural beauty,
know as
Pearl of the Orient.

Images lovely to behold,
a rich and diverse history,
of pearl diving and much more.
History tells of,
The Pearl of Loa Tzu,
and his discovery of
a huge pearl from a
fourteen pound clam !
Over 1000 years old !
Oh, sublime the many sunny beaches,
divine the flavorful food,
colorful the vibrant festivals,
beautiful in spirit the people,
so rich the culture.

Crossroads of the Pacific Ocean
and the South Asia Sea,
the Philippines is a place,
where dreams can come true !

Brought out by sages
Birthed within seas of dharma
Beheld by Mani
Begotten as the world’s soul
Brought out by the rising sun

Pearl of the Orient

See Saw, Margery Daw,
Marguerite - a pearl of a name…
stateswoman, socialite, singer?
No, a servant, soldier, and spy.

Could she be a latent
Margaret Thatcher?
No she's clearly a servant,
a nurse to prisoners of war.

Margarita, clearly a picture,
which brings to mind a debutante?
No, she's clearly a "soldier"
a POW herself soon enough.

Marguerite/a Musical,
does she dream of singing?
No, she's clearly a spy; In 1946
she received the Medal of Freedom.

She was the subject of the movie,
The Great Raid in 2005;
and she shared her story
in an autobiography - Miss U.

See Saw, Margery Daw,
Meet Margaret Utinsky
a pearl in Manila, World War 2
a Pearl of the Orient.

PEARL OF THE ORIENT

Land of gold, pearl of the orient
A paradise since the ancient
Seven thousand islands and more
Waters and shores that they adore

Land that's filled with gorgeous places
Melting pot of all the races
Her beauty charmed the curious eyes
Her bossom, so cozy and nice

Tall mountains of emerald green
Crystal clear waters in between
Pristine bright sky of ocean blue
That shines through fields of amber hue

Maidens of beauty in sweet smiles
With shining hearts that go for miles
That make the white men come to stay
For, their sweet caring makes the day

Zigzag criss-cross sculptured archipelago love exchange
Mountainous scapes interrupt the coastal contemplation.
Sands, like peerless pure pearls, split and spread into a dune range.
Glee and glow with gorgeous islands in scenic temptation.

Our faith is strong like igneous, and metamorphic rocks
Like our rare gems, our spiritual jewels radiate
We grow in communion with animals, fish, birds, and flocks
With rice, rhy, wheat cool weathers, our will and wish are temperate

With multiple languages, Alleluiah too is our tongue
With Baro't saya (shirt and skirt), we have our baptismal wear
Cariñosa, Tinikling, and Singkil of old and young
Unite places and people into Almighty God's heir

Amidst the posh panoramic play of cosmic wholeness
Philippines bears innately brim-filling divine fullness.

Pearl of the Orient

Pearl of the orient, muse of the Pacific
The gleam of your beauty is so terrific
Your amber and radiance of emerald green
Caused the heads of great nations to spin

You're a diamond under the pristine sky
The glimmer of your beauty will never die
Your oceans, like skies of azure blue
Remind me of the wonders of you

Your islands, like stars on heavens above
Their radiant rays rouse the glory of love
Your shores, with their sands, as white as snow
At sunset, they gleam, at sunrise, they glow

The beauty of your waters soothes the eyes
Like the glamor of heaven that never dies
Your fountains are like mountains, they flow so high
They give the faint birds a reason to fly

Ships on the ocean, charmed by your shore
Came docking on your waters but wanted far more
They craved to capture the heart of your soul
The heart of your opulence was part of their goal

With guns and steel blades, they pounced to your chest
For long years, they toyed with the crown on your crest
But with arrows and spears, your brave warriors then stood
With blood and bones, they bought your liberty for good

Magis
Sent from East
With presents on hand
Wishing, walking with glued hand
By land traveled from Orient far
Praying, bowing before the mightiest Star
Never before in a lifetime
  the World changed half-time
Like magic under spell
World rejoiced where true believers dwell

Pearl of the Orient

Pearls of the orient
Where the gallants dwell
Like the jewels of the ancient
Their luster casts a spell

As precious as gem
Countless men cherish them
Their charm is a cure
To the hearts that deeply sore

Men swim the ocean
Just to have them at hand
For their radiance so divine
Makes the gloomy hearts shine

One day I shall venture
To have the pearl I most adore
Her beauty and allure
Brings rapture to the soul
