Premium MemberDistant Shore

[*Hendecasyllable: line of verse containing 11 syllables with stanzas with repeated end words and a five line envoi that concludes the ballade.]*

Look as… “a crimson sky breaks the distant shore”
Signaling I will see my fair home no more
the ship drifts into shadows far from yon shore
And soon the sky is dark night, crimson no more

The vastness of an indigo sky I'm sure,
will leave my soul lonely alite nevermore
The dusting of pinprick lights are ever sure
guiding all lost ones to find their way once more

Again, crimson sky breaks on a distant shore
A foreign land I have never seen before
But skies remain the same over every shore
Connecting souls across oceans of befores

Envoi:
As long as skies remain, with stars to proclaim
I am here at home, even though not the same
Now knowing, no matter where we are going
We do all see the same vast canvas of yore
Yes, the same crimson sky breaks the distant shore.

Oceans of Blood

A drowned Perpetua inhumane, whose dwellers art furthest from sane,
where mortals had once sought to reign, now mindless husks subject to an eerie pain.

And so, amidst boiling waves of a single flow, which so seek to sate hungers that blindly echo from beneath that gangrenous gore
eclipsed in crimson too dark to ignore,

Nearing if not therefore, beneath those vermillion dunes, chronicled from before, hidden nearer the ocean floor.

Far beneath bore that which only fellow filth may grow to adore.

So arose the disembowelled silhouettes of creatures eerily unfound, hidden beneath corpsed constellations that continue to astound.

Ripe with rot, anywhere yet not
upon thine festering flesh, betwixt sinews which crudely infest.

Alive by the necromancer's bequest, so welcoming thou as their unholy guest.

Premium MemberThe Sea Raged

The sea,
It raged,
It raged,
It raged,
As it pummelled
The lonely shore,
As if to say;
Dare to enter,
Dare to enter,
Dare to enter,
And you’ll see dry land -
No more …

Premium MemberOceans

I often think about Earth's oceans- deep
and taking up three-quarters of its size.
Our continents are islands in the sweep
of water worlds- alive beneath our skies.

Great depths of liquid mystery are they;
home of the largest sea life we have seen,
like whales- or giant squid that hide- away
in deep, dark voids below the surface scene.

Some life within our oceans do defy
the rules of nature that apply on land;
all shapes and sizes- lights that glorify
with bioluminescence- colors grand.

So many unsolved secrets lie within
the darkest depths of this aquatic realm.
Like cosmic space- our oceans are akin
in holding mysteries that overwhelm.

A universe its own, our oceans share
enigmas of strange life formed long ago.
Of many species, surely we're aware;
yet, others far from view, dwell deep below.

O, fluffy city clouds that above drift&pause
on an endless journey in the vast blue sky
over cities&forests&oceans you fly
just floating- with no specific laws

O, forests that listens to birds singing
through the trees&beyond the fields
where those same trees act as wind shields
for the birds on branches- helplessly clinging

O, oceans with your loud waves that crash
peaceful aquamarine or dark blue mournful
at times so angry&nasty&scornful
rolling over rocks- you scream and lash

Oceans Alone

Don't walk with me
Find your own path
This dark ocean
With hidden waves of wrath
Bring me peace and humbling

I feel no need
To chat with you
This silvery sky
With endless night and truth
Brings me sincerity

I won't hand hold
No roses, please
This hanging moon
With broken light on seas
Bring me -self love and trust

I walk back through
Don't knit your brows
These shifting dunes
With salt air breathing vows
Bring me out socially

Oceans Sink To Levels

Oceans sink to normal depths
Water seeks its own level in the dark
No land is ever completely dry
Deserts rise with tides of sand

On every side there is no end in sight
No sun fills in what time begins
When reaching to the heavens
Under pressure to survive

Size does not matter to the stars
Oceans go alone and where they want to
But not too far due to weight considerations
Completely deep and measured in their style
So many walls of water to fill in
Nothing holds them back

Planets come from far away to take a drink
In deep space there is only questions of emptiness
So emissaries are sent as asteroids and comets come
From remote locations not worth mentioning
Not in a single sentence any way

Impacts reshape the world
Fill in the meteoric distance when they land
Found on desert floors far from the shore
Sound travels far below
Well below the surface of the earth

Oceans never visit there but listen in
Hearing only what the sand permits
Waves cascading over rocks
Were made to lick the shore
They understand but never talk

Even if they wanted to be less than wet
Oceans go down there where they belong
They cover distances in liquid

The Darkness of Cold Oceans Dwelling Deepest

Into the utter darkness of cold oceans dwelling deepest,
there is far beyond any glimmer of hope an outer limit
that defines a dark realm of the true supernatural reality
existing beyond any iota of human understanding on Earth.

In this dark realm lies a catacombic-womb of dead souls
bled white from the inside-out-turning of sand-blasted
nightmares of pure evil that envelope into a desert storm,
whereby living-dead apparitions appear in the shadows.

In this Procrustean bed there lies these horribly-tortured souls
who are like fossils of a past strife-torn life—a past without
any mercy since the unloved ghosts who exist there sense a
palpable pain erupting deep within every second of eternity!

This achingly slow-death falls into a sentence as forgiveness
now is impossible and a weathered-weakness of bowels spiced
from this seabed's loving memory appear as a bright-white pearl,
and the golden sun rises and sets as rats spread the Black Death!

Oceans

Warm salt winds gently whisper on my skin, knowing not where I'll be, only to forget where I've been. The sea sings a song of time once lost, for yesterday comes with a hard, heavy cost. Tedious things are now so dark and so grim, for it is the oceans of time that claims the hearts of all men. All that will be, all that has been, the things that were not, never shall be again. I let the waves come and take me from the edge of this shore, to the darkness below where I'll stay evermore. Not do I struggle, nor do I fight, I'll not see again or be kissed by the light. In leagues below the surface, under the swells, it looks not like heaven, resembles not hell. It grips with such power, yet still a gentle embrace. I've not been here before, yet I know this strange place. Pulling me deeper I'm surrounded by night, again not to struggle, again not to fight. Having no place inside the cruel world above, the true cost now paid... for falling in love. Walk down to the sands and upon the beach, trudge down where land meets up with the sea, think there of nothing, think there of me, think there of when you were all I could see.

Oceans of Silence

her eyes are oceans of silence
let me drift there for a lifetime of moments without care
let me know what its like to drown in sweet beauty
let me live the quiet life in her heart
and delve into the silken smooth wine of her voice
while i let her lips seduce me
why am i so lost without hope of her
why must i know this idyllic life in her arms
the sugar of her heart is salty and bittersweet
but oh to taste her presence
perfumed and subtle
soft skin
her eyes are an ocean of silence
bathe in her perfect perfections
lay in the cool waters of her sweet heart
live the quiet life of her
her

As Long As the Oceans Are Colored Blue

my love is like a rose that blooms underneath the sun rays
your love is the rain that waters my rose buds upon a cloudy day
without you my heart would not get the nourishment it needs
i have come to realize how important you truly are
when i am cold you warm my soul
when i am weak you give me a hand to hold
when i cry my tears you dry
you are my love my heart my soul
fly away with the doves that fly over the seas
i know that one day you will come back to me
as a mountain stands tall so does your faithfullness reach up to the sky
when i think of how good you are to me i cry
sorry i am being emotional but you bring out my deep down love from the pits of my heart
i love you when it is night it still is not dark
your love shines and leads the way
when it is night it feels like day
so long as the stars shine up in heaven
i will love you as the moon gives its dim lit light
i promise to be true so long as the oceans are colored blue

Oceans Judgement Day

There she sits quietly stalking

Waves of sin behold the mocking

As tides of grin now stir a calling

For its awake release dark barking

Why do you allow its call

As she is nowhere beyond the wall

Waves of power etching a stall

For you to lie as she takes it all

Wind so strong from devils breath

Blowing tides to release your death

Ships of souls creating wrath

For nows the time of the Oceans path

The waves incur a special deed

As you declare the end of your breed

For watch her power rise as you plead

And watch your wrists end as they bleed

The stormy night now in brew

Your soul in flight for its untrue

As they unite for days taboo

The storm is done now you are through

Wind so calm as you pass light

Coming home for second fright

As all the souls untrue unite

Judgement day from Oceans bite
