Oceans Sink To Levels
Oceans sink to normal depths
Water seeks its own level in the dark
No land is ever completely dry
Deserts rise with tides of sand
On every side there is no end in sight
No sun fills in what time begins
When reaching to the heavens
Under pressure to survive
Size does not matter to the stars
Oceans go alone and where they want to
But not too far due to weight considerations
Completely deep and measured in their style
So many walls of water to fill in
Nothing holds them back
Planets come from far away to take a drink
In deep space there is only questions of emptiness
So emissaries are sent as asteroids and comets come
From remote locations not worth mentioning
Not in a single sentence any way
Impacts reshape the world
Fill in the meteoric distance when they land
Found on desert floors far from the shore
Sound travels far below
Well below the surface of the earth
Oceans never visit there but listen in
Hearing only what the sand permits
Waves cascading over rocks
Were made to lick the shore
They understand but never talk
Even if they wanted to be less than wet
Oceans go down there where they belong
They cover distances in liquid
