Premium Member THE PERFUME BOTTLE

  We were running on courtship.
Emotive urge to surge in opulence.
Days were passing in passionate mood
   depending on one another
   with love and mutual confidence.

One day you gifted a perfume bottle
telling ' This fragrance of jasmine is my favourite !'
I was eager to spray at that romantic moment.
You objected, 'No. not now !
I'm going tomorrow to meet my parents
      to fix our wedding date.
       For a week, just wait.
I'll open the bottle and spray on both. "

      You left !
Weeks after weeks are passing by
I'm waiting with hope and patience.
       The sealed perfume bottle
        is reducling me.

Premium Member My Facebook Experience

My children begged me to get on Facebook
Because they are girls and changed their names when they married
They knew their friends could spell my name
Few people have our last name
And almost no one spells Karen with a C
Like my mother did

I opened an account, not understanding it much
Looking up names of people I used to know was addictive
I spent hours sending friend requests
I also found other Carens with my spelling
I sent them friend requests
Got a warning from Facebook
There were complaints about this
If I did not stop contacting Carens, they were shutting my account down

I put my grandchildren’s pictures up
My children objected; apparently sex traffic people can use those photos
So, I took them down
Now I post photos of my dogs and my artwork. I feel safe so far.

The Question of God

The God Thing
I often think of God, but Morgan Freeman`s face gets in the way
So, now we know God is a handsome actor looking godlike and
that is
Ok, if he had looked Chinese, I might have objected
Death is a conundrum; We accept the physical death
 but the problem
Is what is happening to our thoughts from experience?
After a long life, we like to pass knowledge on, but
selectively, as we can not talk about our blunders and our sexual misconduct
I have lived an egocentric life is the only
way I write
but if I have written something to anyone for whom the big
sleep means nothing we are grateful

O to keep mind’s monkey at bay

A learned man in his discourse once said,
Fear sin, fight with and save from sin your skin,
To which a long silent sage objected:
Stop this slaughter of self, sink in your sin.
The learned man looked up from his discourse
To say, what a fine mantra: Sink in sin!
And asked: I’ve got the cart, pray, where’s the horse?
Here ‘tis: Seek thy solace from what has been,
Beware, never to think of mind’s monkey.
It’s hard still to keep one’s monkey at bay,
More ye try to miss, more it gets naughty,
An humble man from crowd had this to say:
Fight nor fear sin, nor run away from scene,
As witness watch from wings— involved, nor keen.

Poet’s note: One’s true Self is atman, body nor mind, nor intellect. Atman is an enabler and never acts, but merely watches as a witness. If you try to keep mind away from sin, the mind will think all the more of sin. So, watch the mind’s monkey as a witness.

I Am a Prostitute

As told to me in confidence
Many years ago,
This is her story
Which I write here below.

I am a prostitute
Not that I wanted to be
Life was difficult
For the household and me.
I turned to this life
The style and living
Nights were days
Sans feeling and loving.
My in-laws objected
To this life in the beginning
But later condescended
For the money I was spinning.
The earning was good
Men too were useful
When times were hard
Their manipulation was skillful
I had them old, young and handsome
Beginners and veterans;
Cheating husbands would come.
I am sure my husband
Would not be like them
He was faithful, is still so
Handsome though unkempt,
I love him even more.
I was advised an operation
Decided my husband to inform
I know he wouldn't object
To my latest damned reform
He wouldn't hear my voice nor see
Me, his wife that needs to be
Not that I enjoyed this life I live
But the care to him I must give.
He lies there in the bed
Paralysed from foot to head.
My husband means much to me
I am a prostitute to earn his keep.

Remembrance

I remember when I was in school,
The weather was so cool

Our teacher of religion said," Jesus is God"
One pagan colleague objected ," He is not God."

Teacher  was not happy to hear that word
Then I said loudly ," He is the Lord of lords."

All Christian students clapped their hands
Teacher was so happy and called her friends.

Jesus Christ is yesterday,  today and forever
Our best teacher , strength,  authority , power,

Our saviour, redeemer , Consolation,
Revelator, protection and solution.

We adore and worship Him daily
He is goodly , peacefully and kindly.

Poetry determines its own form

the Anatomy of heartfelt expression

Sort of like, God choosing Moses
who objected for his stutter: “Surely,
Lord, would not my brother (Cecil, the English
Major) be a wiser choice, of far sturdier
mind; and solid, commanding voice?”

As with poetry, if a poem destined
“To Be!” let then Living Words
and not a penning prophet alone
determine whether
presentation sonnet or free....

Time Cures and Soul Endures

Life is lived though won or lost
We are forced to create a past
Time is also running damn fast
All must one day end at last

The loss we suffered long back
Is no longer a great drawback
We laugh when past loss we track
We are cured due to time's knack

That girl by whom we got rejected
That job from which we were ejected
That game which our father objected
That day on which we were injected

So many scars that no longer look bad
Innumerable insults that sadly we had
Various criticisms from our dear dad
Time heals stopping us turning mad

So, use time and very calmly wait
Time will carry burdensome weight
Try to reach a very great height
But, fall not for greed's bait.

Hope

The man wondered, "What is hope?"
Metacognition defined, it's nothing but a dope.
The heart objected to the proposition.
And told it's an ambiguous anticipation.
The prefrontal cortex made the reasoning disentwine.
And equated hope with the level of dopamine.
The enterochromaffin cells rejected the cortical rationality.
And signified serotonin's vitality.
Posterior pituitary smiled sarcastically.
And illustrated oxytocin's role affectionately.
The man woke up out of this exasperation.
Though dream, but intrigued by the imagination.
He asked," Is hope just a chemical state?"
Consciousness whispered it's not that straight.

SUNSET or MOON RISE?

Two drunkards not aware of Sun-Moon.
Horizon showed yellow disc dazzling lone maroon.
First one prompt to tell about sunset sharp.
But second objected ‘No, Full Moon’ taking burp.
Quarrel went on, yet no decision finalized.
On the spot came the third man drunkard and realized
the conflict. Both approached for correct right answer.
But the third got confused ‘I am stranger. So, ignorant either.
   know neither Sun nor Moon,
   No answer.Now so soon.'
   So, he bluntly made frown:
‘Unable to say sharp, who is just up or down!’

A Rattling Rhyme Contest by Nina Parameter

The Test

The test
In these days of gender turmoil
Gender issues, gender strife
It has now become a puzzle
How to go about with life
What to teach our growing children?
Who or what defines their role?
When the family is in shambles
Undermining every goal
It’s confusion upon confusion
Rules and morals what are they?
What was once highly regarded
Is quickly seen as ’in the way’
Change the system, change foundations
Make things easy, cut the chains
That restrict the craving human
Never mind the stains and pains
We decide what we’re becoming
Can’t you see? And it goes well
If you doubt what you are seeing
Then don’t ask and we won’t tell
The time has come to make things over
The more the better, let’s recreate
And we will not stop to ponder
If this is prompted by self-hate
Let us live out every feeling
How we think is how we feel
And this unrestricted living
Really does have strong appeal
As the genders keep confusing
One another and the rest
Whether agreed on or objected
This puts all mankind to the test.

Gods Laughter

Homeric laughter

They had been angels sitting on clouds for
ten thousand years playing the harp, but
since they were in a timeless environment
They didn`t want knot, only filled with a sense of
ennui that came from sitting on a cloud void
of touch, and they also miss not being hungry
and thirsty, and feeling sad for throwing one out
off the cloud, he had no ear for music.

They objected to god who took off his mas showing
A face a hole so endlessly deep that if it was white,
told they were his illusion now they had to make a choice
either continue playing the golden harp or vanish into the big
white hole; they choose the instrument. God put his mask on,
and bitter silence wafted like an ill omen through the galaxy.
