Complicated Moons
they hid lies behind complicated moons, 'til constellations turned to dust & the sun vehemently objected, interceding on truth's behalf the earth did not split apart, merely splintered every tiny fragment of trust

Foolishness
Fool, you borrowed time from fate
Obeisance was wrong indeed
Objected nothing and moved on
Lotus was your favorite fruit
Irrationality was a kind of madness
Sarah warned, " Be careful, son! "
Harry, your pal, spoke like her
None seemed unreachable or vain
Enthralled by many false visions
Surges of panic and anger abounded
Sultry thoughts brought death...

Mother-In-Law
Mother in law so full of hate
Objected to her son’s true mate
Though unjustified in her decision
Her hatred for her so blurred her vision
Everything the girl did or said
Repulsed her and she turned her head

Instead she missed a one true friend
Never to know what could of been

Let it be a lesson for some
Always get to know the wife of your son
Whereof you may have none...

Constant Chances
Yo wake up in the morning
give thanks and praises
for the chance to make it better
so much hatred has decease
just waiting to see the cloud clear
aint about fear only the Lord
In ways we connect
Struggles we accepted
Presidents Elected
Residences Neglected
Ignorance Objected
the only way is Love
to Get it Straight
Resisitate Medicate Dedicate
never Faking my flesh and blood
Savior save the sacred
Time is Wasted...

Poetry determines its own form

the Anatomy of heartfelt expression

Sort of like, God choosing Moses
who objected for his stutter: “Surely,
Lord, would not my brother (Cecil, the English
Major) be a wiser choice, of far sturdier
mind; and solid, commanding voice?”

As with poetry, if a poem destined
“To Be!” let then Living Words
and not a penning prophet alone
determine whether
presentation sonnet or free.......

That He Deserves
She was frightened,
When she heard,
He has another love affair,
Also she has a child.

She has decided,
Not to see him again,
She thought, he is a cheater,
He isn’t a good lover and a father.

When someone told her,
He is a good person,
She cried loudly and objected him,
Someone’s goodness not proves,
He is a good father or a lover.

If a person is a good friend,
If a person is a good person,
Why is he not a good father,
Or a lover that he deserves?...

Distant Thunder
We were there,
  but we weren’t

We took part,
  and we didn’t

There was war,
  with all affected

There was death,
  and some objected

There was music,
  we got lost in

Assassinations,
  left us frozen

Alienation,
  drove us inward

Graduation,
  for beginners

Half a century,
  now forgotten

Ten short years,
  in time begotten

Raged a storm,
  of hope and wonder

Alive today,
 —a distant thunder

(Villanova Pennsylvania: April, 2017)...
