When I heard him snoring 
Like loud like a lion
He who falls from my eyes
Every sense feeling nonsense 
Early lights in goosebumps 

Served myself a red riddle
Leaving me tortured and energetic 
Shooting my lungs to no air
My kidneys helped me breathe
Each cough counting complaints

MOON A NOON

The first day felt magical,
A feast so grand, so memorable.
Just hours beyond the golden noon,
He said I was his radiant moon.

A moon that glows, soft and pure,
For a love that seemed to endure.
But maybe I was just a toy,
In the game of his fleeting joy.

At last, the truth became clear—

I rode into town with the sun sinking low,  
I thought "it's too quiet, somehow they know"
I wrote his name on the bullet, loaded it into the gun

october noon sounds

weird bird tweet
cheep cheep cheep
traffic in the distance
barely perceptible breeze

rooster crow
dogs chase squirrel
his get away is lickety split
up a hickory tree

wind chimes a merry melody
smell of autumn leaves
a far off conversation
drowned out by ambulance siren

motorcycle engine revs
trill of another bird
I soak up the sunshine
feeling safe in Vitamin D

dog’s gruff bark startles me
his pal runs off

On A Saturday Noon

As the clock struck twelve on a Saturday noon,
I would open the gates in delight,
My mother would be waiting and smiling,
The heavy bag seemed light,
As I tossed it aside and fell in her lap,
A sweet kiss on my cheek,
I still feel the wet.

soothing,
the moisture;
Cooling my core
I’m in a state of
bright ataraxia;
A barricade for brittle,
fragile skin is now protected;
If only your touch contained aloe,
instead of the high noon rays that fry me.
