Premium MemberNoisy Silence

I speak yet no one hears
I have a voice yet I am silenced
In the chaos
no one cares
Eyes to see yet blinded
Ears to hear yet no one hears
Minds are programmed to ignore
Hearts hardened
No one feels
I feel so alone
In a world filled with people
People too afraid to allow themselves to think
To feel
To accept
Differences
Things that they don’t understand
I scream unheard screams
I stand in a noisy silence
Unheard

Noisy Korea Now My Home

When I first came
To South Korea in 1979
To do my Peace Corps duty
In a rural country town,

I thought that the old name
Of Korea
“the land of the morning calm”
Was absurd.

Korea was a noisy place
From early morning on.

Cars, horns, radio TV blaring
People talking to crowds everywhere
At night people drink and dine.

And loudspeakers
 Blasting you awake
At 6 a.m.

And during elections
Sound trucks everywhere.

Now 45 years later
It is my home
No longer a noisy
Chaotic exotic place
Just home.

Unlikely Noisy And Vibrant Mornings

Unlikely noisy and vibrant mornings
everything was serene, celestial and calm,
so ideal for a spring's afternoon psalm...
when there should have been mourning sounds!

Sunrise had more brilliance as it illuminated all with grace,
it gave no comfort to souls in graves devastated by a cyclone;
they had no fresh flowers to embellish each ravaged stone,
even moonlight couldn't brighten their dullness and disgrace!

The next day the pelting rain fell to break their monotony,
apple blossoms carried by a sudden western wind adorned
the crumbling tombstones left unkept in drenched ground;
the only visitor was a Greyhound grieving his loss acutely!

Unlikely noisy and vibrant mornings,
utter peace was broken by a blaring and radiating lightening,
and as stormy clouds spread across
the atmosphere, Heaven began to weep with human feeling!

One Noisy Fan

A summer-like spring day has come
in an old warehouse
I brought 3 fans
living room
study
and the bedroom
bound with strong tape and string
the smallest fan
in the village school
entered quietly
unlightened
proud
my friend.

Breaking Sea Is Noisy

breaking
sea is noisy

breaking
clouds are noisy

breaking
stars are noisy

breaking
ices are noisy

A broken dream is quiet

not scattered
makes the sea
clouds
stars
ices,
made a yak.

Premium MemberNoisy Neighbors

The damn thing’s screaming in the yard
It wants green eggs and ham
It’s trying to play the outrage card
Cuz all I had was spam
The wretched fox demanded Bach,
He didn’t like Coltrane
He’s screeching out there in the woods
His socks have holes again

Sweet Talented Noisy Girl

You and I are two sides of coin
I have an art club so please join
Your art can give my club a kick off
My stupid mouth can be switched off
You can show my club a right path
I know you have fearsome wrath
I want to hear your sweet adorable voice
But do not speak loud because it will create noise
Brush your teeth daily sometimes your mouth stinks
I can go in coma then my eyes won’t blink.

Premium MemberCharming Patterns

Charming patterns surround us,
          whispering in
          shadows of our lives.
Born as thoughts, painting our dreams
          with landscapes
          of greens, purples, reds;
abstract colors bursting onto our canvas.
          Patterns chase us through
           fields of watercolor wildflowers,
down slopes of wind-blown grasses
          of lavender-tipped gold.
We find them in balmy, cotton clouds, wind-carved rocks,
          and moss-covered stones
          kissed by noisy waters.
They sometimes ride on a butterfly's wings,
often found in new flowers, a child's face,
a leaf turned up, where a ladybug hides.
Charming patterns: mysterious looks they wear,
they cause us to question, to wonder, to imagine.
Both elegant and bold, charming patterns always present
          puzzles to unwind,
          stretching our minds.

Mockingbirds Are Noisy and Aggressive
By: Miracle Man
July 19,2021

Sunshine peeking through a mottled sky,
painting a picture on parched ground.
A Mockingbird intermittently flutters by,
and from its repertoire a familiar sound.

A mate remains busy preparing a nest,
our red honeysuckle, is their spot of choice.
Fending off trespassers, not to be dispossessed,
while sampling me with its singing voice.

When a squirrel leaves a tree and is aground,
the Mocker dives and pecks until driven from sight.
With the male mocker you don’t fool around,
it makes the squirrel chatter, from affright.

It is said that an adult male mocker,
can make 200 different sounds.

NOISY

Sounds of the day ceaseless go,
       know no specific bounds,
Cries of domestic chores, squabble of city life to arise
Nasty noises of vexing vehicles running always hasty.
Creaking of wheels, blowing horns turns law-breaking.

Sounds of the day ceaseless go,
      know no specific bounds.
‘Crowd yells’: Either avoid or be a part
        being smart and proud.

Sounds of the day ceaseless go,
       know no specific bounds
        Arrogance sounds good
       on shouting day of nuisance.
Run on days to cope with busy noisy life,
       but have fun.

Sounds of the day ceaseless go,
         know no specific bounds.
Loud you are, bold to shout as life will sound.
Fight in marital clash on noisy day
          gets cooled on calm night.

Sounds of the day ceaseless go,
         know no specific bounds
           Observe days full of noises
to meet silent night with love.

Premium MemberNoisy Neighbours

Sandwiched between noisy neighbours
We hear them putting their labours
In screaming matches
Boisterous snatches
Seems like they're fighting with sabers

I wish we had placed soundproof glass
So that no sound, no noise can pass
All would be quiet
Unlike the riot
Our neighbours create and trespass

Noisy Cat

You have the hysterical look of mutes
that roar through narrow straws.
I see in your yellow eyes – a Jules Verne winking moon.
Soon that ribbed pink cave will release
another flock of demented coots
hacked from the craw of an ancient macaw.

Soon the whip of your vocal squawks
will pluck my eyes from their trembling stalks.
Maine Coon, part Persian, part whiskery herring,
grimalkin mouser,
I love you not when you sing.

Verne goes to the movies, a flickering French theater
of painted malarkey, where mice threaten to Can-Can.
Buck Rodgers shoots rays of hyperbolic sound
from the open nozzle of your mouth.

Noisy River Bank

Noisy River Bank
Sitting on a river bank, tryin to catch a catfish
Lookin up at the stars, I began to make a wish.
Well, my worms are dead and the fish won’t bite
When I heard a strange noise echo through the night.
At first there was a squeak and then a squawk
Then there was silence and nothin at all.
I figured a mouse being chased by an owl,
So, I decided to stay and listen for a while.
A mosquito lit on the top of my head
I slapped and missed and wished he was dead.
The only bite I was getting was from a yellow fly
When something scared me and I thought I’d die.
An old bull frog croaked at my feet
And I jumped for a stick and began to beat.
Well I reached for my pole leaning on a stake
Lord, wouldn’t you know it, there laid a snake.
Well he hissed at me and I cussed at him
I told him I’d get him, so I cut me a limb.
Of course, at that time, I got a bite on my pole
I just forgot about the snake curled up in the hole.
I grabbed my pole and began to real
All that trouble and danger for a gosh darn eel.
I decided to leave at that point and time
So, I left with nothin but a half-scared mind.
