Noble Foot

‘Oft overlooked is the noble foot.
But please let me in, my 2 cents, put.
For, granted, it is so often, took.
Homely and crooked, though it may look,
still gets you there, that most noble foot.

Chalkboard Dream

Poet's Note

Dr. Abdus Salam (1926-1996) was born in Jhang, Pakistan. He became the *first Pakistani and first Muslim to win the Nobel Prize in Science* in 1979. With hope and resilience, he showed the world that greatness can rise from humble beginnings.

Bite Size Contest no 151
Theme*: Hope & Resilience

        Chalkboard Dream

Abdus Salam dreamed on a chalkboard
Dust and cracked shoes reached the sky
Storms of doubt, no hand to guide
Still he earned Nobel pride
For Pakistan, for Muslim light
Hope and resilience never die

Rescued from the Shadows of Ruin

My noble Sire Marcus Baracus, your legendary intervention has pulled me from the very jaws of ruin! I am eternally bound to your grace, for without your heroic shield, my cause would surely have perished in the shadows. My deepest gratitude is yours for the rest of my days!

Premium Member America's Noble Collapse

My fellow Americans have given up
They’ll let Iran, Russia and China win

Those countries’ spies and terror cells
swarm and thrive here from within

Is it more noble to collapse in on ourselves ~
Is resisting sworn foes of freedom such a terrible sin

Premium Member Rev Martin Luther King Jr: My Noble Brother of Human Rights, Freedom, Peace, and Justice

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.—my noble brother of freedom and peace,
Peace and justice ringing from mountaintops like consecrated chapel bells,
Bells resounding high and low across the hilltops and the valleys below,
Below, where the meek and humble gathered to sow their seeds of faith.

Faith, small as a mustard seed, yet mighty enough to move great mountains—
Mountains of despair overturned through the pursuit of equality and justice for all,
All God’s created people, without exception, endowed with equal human rights,
Rights granted by the Creator to all humanity in our blessed pursuit of happiness.

Happiness and freedom flowing from God’s love into the heart of humanity—
Humanity awakened to equal justice, righteousness, dignity, and emancipation,
Emancipation and representation earnestly sought, courageously fought, and won,
Won through radiant visions of hope shedding luminescent light upon the weary.

Light filled with saving grace from above, restoring strength to the brokenhearted,
Blessings from the Creator—bestowed upon those fashioned for everlasting love.

Premium Member Such Noble Thieves

We live in savage times so tough
With open socialists elected
On promises of more free stuff
As all around fools are subjected

Everyone in huddled masses
With faces blank in dark veiled threat
Sitting on their passive asses
Hands open like an expectant pet

Everyone knows it’s expected
How the value of these hollow suits
Grows with every dime collected
With our necks beneath their dirty boots

Oh noble lords we submit now
To the brazen theft that you impose
And even as we smile and bow
Start our rebellion under your nose

When the day comes for the takers
To account at last for all you stole
Be prepared to meet your makers
And serve us for life without parole.

Premium Member A Noble Beast

(Lada, October 2025)

Lada, our own Glorious Aryan Ruler
Noble Slavic goddess of love, beauty
And fertility, although alas, spayed.
It’s interesting how every dog is unique
And yet every breed consistent
With its own genetically determined
Physical, mental and emotional qualities.
And although some breeds are more noble than others
Not all dogs fill their archetype’s shoes equally.

But Lada is the exception that proves the rule
The noble rule of her not so pure Aryan blood
Being a cross of East and West
Anatolian Shepherd and Great Pyrenees.

Top dog in our pack, ruling with deep growl
And a mouth big enough to hold and subdue a pug,
But always with a heart
That somehow knows exactly what to do
To keep her pack in line
While inspiring her humans
To see her inherent nobility and canine dignity
And not just meet the whole lotta love she gives
But rise to her example.

Premium Member Noble Quests

"While the earth remains,
Seed time and harvest,
Summer and winter,
Cold and heat,
Will not cease."
Bible, Gen, 8:22

I saw the moon rising on my left.
I beheld the sun setting on my right.
I mused within my soul about forever things,
Things which we often deem antiquated.

I mourned inside over non-forever things,
Things upon which we are unduly fixated.
We convince ourselves that outdated things
matter less and mentally put them to rest
Rather than make become a quest.
.

But the wisest of us will learn to touch base
With things beyond our reach and discover
What they have to teach. In so doing, we will
Come to realize the value of such pursuits.

Noble Feeling

Picking smoothly the first fruit from its branch
(the hand of its mother, the tree)
By the hand of its planter and owner
A beautiful, noble feeling of happiness,
tranquility, and joy

peacemaker held off,

peace will rise from the ashes

Noble Profession

Each person has his own teacher and mentor
By their example, they inspire us to go through life
Attain and arrive to our peaks with dignity
To achieve success in everything we do
I want to express my sincere gratitude
To mentors and teachers for our knowledge
Teacher, mentor is a vocation
A destiny from God, a calling of the soul
Only the strong at heart
Can carry out this noble mission.
