On this most unusual autumn day
I must say goodbye to an old friend,
a gigantic, ancient oak tree in my front yard:
You have shaded my porch for decades
enabling me to sit in my swing
on warm days relaxing, reading, and writing poems.
You have been the home of innumerable squirrels.
Little songbirds have perched on your branches
and serenaded me with their delightful trilling.
Limb by limb, you have been dying for a long time.
Twice, you have had to part with appendages, felled
by saws—at my reluctant bidding, but of necessity.
Some limbs have fallen on their own, in my yard
and even on the road!
Horrendous weather is coming, with ice and high
winds. For others and myself, I fear the huge limbs
on your right side that have been bare for several
years. How they creak when the wind rises!
The tree cutters will be here tomorrow.
Not even a stump will remain at day's end.
From this time forward, I will visualize you
where you once resided. I won't forget you.
Your kinfolk are still here, tall and strong—
as you once were.
May they thrive long after I am gone.
Polarity showed up tonight in the small white pill resting in my palm—assurance and biological impedance within the same small shape. My endocrinologist believes taking it will rebuild my bone's density, coaxing my body to better use protein, collagen, and various minerals in places where time and age have thinned my bone's structure. But the pill brings its own polarity: it promises stronger bones even as a wave of morning-sickness nausea steals my comfort. Still, I take it, gratitude and resentment settling side by side in my heart. I’ve come to realize that sometimes polarity isn’t abstract. It’s real as real can be with me coping with two opposing truths coexisting.
white stone of healing~
a tide pulls both ways inside,
moor and undertow
Needed, air.
Humanity gasps,
Beyond care.....
(3-5-3 poem).
By any means necessary on survival new beginnings
feeling like one's wandering in the bewilderment by
any means necessary. Plots for substenances, One's
possibilities, A quench to thrive with a breath of fresh
ait; Not always looking over one's shoulder, continuing
on with one's life. By any means necessary.
Some say only the strong survive yet the point of the
matter by any means necessary.
Life is what one dare it to be, to inspire and uplift one's
Fellowship, with no hidden intentions, give a hand and
take a stand by any means necessary.
I don't expect my life to be,
the same as before that's for all to see,
But I need to move on and cope with my loss,
The loss of my loved one the family boss,
Contracts and bills agreements and accounts,
I need to change names and reckon up amounts,
So many hurdles, phone calls and texts,
Ticking lifes job list ,
What will come next,
My son lost his mother That's something I'm not,
I will devote all my everything and become the job lot,
So life we move forward,
A new chapter we make,
Memories will stay with us which no one can take.
. . . Dont Trouble Young! Oh!
You Got It In Stream Of Blood
Thats Everlasting! . . .
How could I have known,
How could I have seen?
I listened, but I didn't hear,
We dreamt of different dreams.
And now it seems the end is near,
And all we feel is pain.
The mask of strength has disappeared,
Empty, we remain.
Time will pass, and time will clear,
If you and I were meant to be.
No room for love when hearts have fear,
No room for dreams when you're not free.
Days will come of clear feelings,
Days of growth and understanding.
Days of sun sound so appealing,
For now, my heart for you is standing.
i decided to keep my findings to myself
life moves in different directions for all people
likes and dislikes are both similar and contrasting
i was hoping to find a small space to breathe in the neverending movement
what i ended up with is a migraine with nausea on a pavement with hungry ants
when i hurl on said ants, i expose myself to a cold, uncaring public
my strength rebuilds off the inspiration of the general population that keeps on walking
i was praying for another small space for conversation and genuine concern
what i ended up with this time was scrapes all over my already sore body with clotted cuts that will forever burn
i decided to keep my self....to myself....
"The Necessary Mission"
The heart has pages
that unfurl daily
out from under
blankets of
circadian rhythm
like petals stretch
and turn over
again and again
the reach rich
forever eternal
turns inwards
embyronic
nightshade returns
the necessary mission
when Morning arrives
the heart has pages
(LadyLabyrinth / 2023)
this morning,
as i lay in bed
my eyes shut.
listening to my own heartbeat,
playing with the rhythm that is my very lifeline.
It was only a couple seconds, but
with all the sincerity i could conjure up
i thought that my heart had stopped.
i could not hear it nor could I feel it
beating in my chest.
and as if i had been writing my will
or on my deathbed,
having already accepted my fate,
it was the most peaceful couple of seconds i’ve felt in a while.
what grim commentary from a 20-year-old.
~ r.a
I’d had to simply voice it elsewhere
And didn’t forget to on it swear:
Much of what is now necessary
Is the headache of Accessory…
By far an astonishing puzzle,
To clothes compared: the ones that dazzle
A necessary accessory
Proves Accessory necessary:
In minds summoning the rosary
With its rare roles in soul nursery,
Wedding Ring- the less seen in marriage
More than Bridal Dress fueling carriage,
Hand kerchiefs for eyes in misery
For sure tears at a Cemetery
And Handkerchief Is not A Casket,
For burial less mentioned than Basket.
Today you are given a great loss
But, this may not at all continue
As you can surely better your skill
Here only great patience is needed
Please think of proceeding further
By making lots of improvements
If success is a cake-walk to you
Your talents will get easily blunted
Great souls when they were losing
Did maximum work with true grit
As a result of their sincere pursuit
They emerged at last as winners
Any useful performance is always
Preceded by colossal efforts only
God even may not help, but toil
Will bring the needed success
Hard-work will perform sure magic
It will create a sure way to the top
Bringing on its way real miracles
That will make living outstanding.
Who loves, wishes freedom
to live with further and further love
to donate and receive plus love!
even to die of love
if necessary so !

rain came in drenched streets
showered life, near-drowned plants
Heaven's broom, harvests' groom
ii
puddles in garden
odd beauty, surplus, providence
water sinks low, rises too
Our demand is to accept the novelty,
we must recognize
All things in this world
has expiration date...
We must disuse matter
already worn..
let's live with this guideline,
this wisdom...
