                                                Sand Dunes Hiku

 stretches of sand dunes

Renewal

Storms come
Tapper to showers
Calm returns
Earth making ready
For flowers

Sun reclaiming the sky
Rainbow~ prize-ribbon

Meadows gleaming

Bees tripping dutifully, busy
Matchmakers, introducing bloom 
To bloom

Birds pairing, making nests
Brides and grooms, greeting guests

The valley quite a festive sight

Nature’s fond formal of Spring….

Petals Of Gold

In petals of gold
tardy summer blooms glisten
with a bit more weight.

Raindrops on Roses

in the square, light encircled
choristers of yule
who incanted charmingly
as the dew sank cool
on their rouge berets,
cardinal cloaks with green socks—
a cordant bouquet

Earthly demise

Pastoral
Spring arrives on queue
Verdant colours warm the soul –
Wonders of nature

Pictures
Turner et al paint
Landscapes of life are then housed –
Framed for reflection

Impact
Then human advance
Nature abused through the ages –
How is this progress?

Downhill
Sustenance lessens
So life withers on the vine –
Mankind declining

Ending
Far away planet
First signs of life have begun –
We wasted our chance

Harmony and Disharmony

The rhythmic waves roll,
Barely foaming as they gently sweep up the shore
And lightly brush my toes
Before retreating as another wave approaches.

Distant swallows chatter like a choir out of tune,
Tossing a scattered melody — yet strangely harmonious.

The coconut leaves above me whisper
As the soft breeze drifts past.

The cold of the damp sand where I sit, legs

each with its own task
most of them are workers
drones mate the queen to lay eggs

I wear no disguise,
really.
as do butterflies,
earth, I colorize
freely.
golden moon full-size
lulls school bus allies
briefly.

Parasomnia

This paralyzing Dream inebriates me,
intoxicated by Death’s perfume,
I don’t believe I’m here to battle my
Demons, I’m here to keep them 
safe and sacred, reach them
toward’s Heaven’s skies, raise and
teach them about Heaven’s signs
Is it sacrilegious and blasphemous
or the way God would treat his 
Creation

Rosy Rebirth

The rain in Spain is never plain -- 
not there nor anywhere else, each 
drop a stork of rosy rebirth.

Glorious mud

A simple recipe of water, silt, soil and clay
Nature's potion; so powerful, so useful, so dangerous
Uncontrollable and untethered is this egalitarian mixture
Loved and loathed by human and animal

Low tide, the muddy shores of the Victorian Thames beckoned
The ragged-clothed mudlark scavenged for anything he could sell
Scrap iron, animal fat, coal, pieces of rope and canvas -

A Rich Rhyme

Louis Watson loved well made, toy ships, and had a fine collection,
Since father was a sailor himself. Like aged wind's novel directions.

Louis loved sailing toy ships on Crystal Pond, like gaiety filled youth.
He'd pretend they sailed on open seas, laden with candies and fruit!

His family lived on the edge of town, beneath pink-beige starlight,
Looming as

Mother's Nature Forest

In a forest seen 
A beautiful scene
Of the tall  trees spread
Lots of greenery
Spread for the creatures

The forest is their home
For the birds to dwell 
The squirrels live here to
So does other animals
Live in the forest

The forest has beauty
With running water
The forest gives them
The shelter they need
