Holy spirit you are welcome
In my life
I am stand still
Like a rooted tree
Old like me
Please don't chop me down
Don't I have the right to live?
Why
I am very old
One you cut me down
There won't be another tree
That will replace me
Father
what does that really mean
never there for me never cared for me
I stood there all alone
Your child your daughter
no protection for me
you not only scared me
you left me with a scar on my face
no pitty no shame I faced the world
as I do now all alone
Does it hurt....yes
Do I care No can't miss what never had
Not uncommon, kids left to fend for themselves
all alone please care for them
Fathers today put it down
cherish your girls
So they will know what it really means to say
Father
I have come to realize that every moment of my life
Has been solely about meeting and falling in love with you.
That has been my life’s purpose and I didn’t know it til now.
no time for fun, working my life away
When the sun hits your eyes
They appear as stars in mine
Or as endless pools I'd be willing to drown in
The moon can only yearn for your beauty
Just as I do every moment I'm without you
When I see your smile
Even in the most somber of times
I can't help but feel my own return
As if seeing your joy inspires it in others
The warmth that follows you into every room
I'd almost be envious if it wasn't my favourite feeling
I feel the need to thank whatever creator there may be
For granting me the wish of a star like you
Nightmares claw and my heart skips a beat, Feeling so vulnerable I weep, Tears fall like rain with no sound, Endless fear just wraps around, Crying out for it to end, But the dawn light seems worlds away again, Unspoken pain I'm finding my way, Hiding the tears I fight every day, Will I learn to breathe with this heavy weight, Or is this my life forever my fait, Forever trapped in this dark and lonely place, Every passing day I can't bare to face, Maybe freedoms not the absence of pain, But learning to dance in shadows again, I'll find my voice and my heart will mend, Hopefully it won't feel like I have hit a dead end, Will the scars fade or hide, It's a battle I face through a high tide, What noone knows is that I'm petrified, smiling and hiding is my only disguise, A dark and heavy cloud of triggers that creep, into my nightmares and into my sleep, Will I ever live in this world without pain or fear, with only happiness in every drop of tear, All I can do is hope and pray, That one day the dreams and pain will just go away.
You walked through fear with shaking feet, yet still refused to know defeat, you are not broken you are brave, you found the strength your heart once gave, these walls now hold the space to heal, to learn again what safe can feel, the support here is so strong and true, will help rebuild the best in you, in this room there once stood a survivor too, unsure of herself just like you, today she walks with her head held high, her voice reclaimed her heart flies, so breath deep and take you're time, your healing is a journey and at the end youl shine, today is yours tomorrow too, a brighter life is waiting for you, one day you will look at what you have been through, and see the warrior born in you, your safe worthy and you belong, you have got this remember you are strong
From the shadows I'm finding my way, learning to love the person I strayed, The scars remain but they tell a tail, Of strength and courage and the hope I'd never fail,Lost in the the haze of someone else's game, I have come to realise I'm not the one to blame, The pieces of my soul once shattered and worn, Now a reassembled like a puzzle reborn, I'm proud of me and the strength I have gained, Of all the scars that's healing and the lessons I have sustained
A soul once broken a life once feared, The weight of my words and cheeks covered in tears, Silence screams in an empty life, The emotions and tension you could cut with a knife, Scars still tender wounds still raw, There's no way I could of took any more, In the mirror a reflection stares, A face once broken now slowly repairs, I look in the mirror and say 'dont let her win' But the memories of pain still hide deep within, I'm a fighter I'm a survivor I'm alive, and now I'm aiming to thrive, I was a soul once broken, but now my whole body and mind has woken
Sixteen years since she entered my life
Fourteen years ago she became my wife
At any age love it can bloom
Opened my heart for her, love I made room
Fourteen years ago she became my wife
As well as much love we are also great friends
Opened my heart for her i made room
Any challenges we sit and just talk
As well as much love we are also great friends
At any age love it can bloom
Any challenges we sit and just talk
Sixteen years since she entered my life
eyes that sparkle with
every touch of my hand
we are one-In love
It had no eyes, just bulk in the corner, swirling thick as oily
mist, smelling of rot.
I tried to step away but the carpet flowed like quicksand,
digging my heels in as darkness crept upward.
It didn't move, but suddenly the room dropped bone-cold,
crystals dusting the glass in serrated patterns.
I reached for the lamp, but the plug ripped from the socket.
I was left with nothing but the sound of my own pulse.
Suddenly it stirred, slid swiftly toward me soundless and a
chilling weight began to squeeze my throat closed.
I opened my lips to cry out, rip the silence in two but my
lungs filled with nothing but ashen memories.
Black slammed against my lids and my vision went blank.
I waited for it to KILL ME!!!
Then, I woke up.
I’m in retirement now
And so I try to do as little as possible
As such, my waking life
Has become a respite
Not so much from my past career
But from my nightly dream world
Where my life is a constant turmoil
Of new places, new people, new selves even
A constant whirlwind
I fortunately don’t remember most of
But what I do remember
Takes a full day of doing nothing
To recover from.
(6/16/26)
tears rolling down and into my mouth
and face turning red with fear
lips began to quiver
as the cloud of thoughts covered me
the scene in front of my eyes was not unsettling
but certainly a beautiful sunset
yet i felt like a part of me was going down
that was when i could no longer change the fate
