Everybody has a cloud.
and if you'll permit,
on mine, you are not allowed.
Please get off of it.

Michael Phillip Jagger
learned to strut and sway with swagger
the queen thought him so chique
she knighted him and now he is known as Sir Mick

I can't get no satisfaction
I can't get no satisfaction
'Cause I try and I try and I try and I try
I can't get no, I can't get no
I Can’t Get No Satisfaction/written by Mick Jagger/Keith Richards
there is an old man named Mick
who uses music as his shtick
when he tries to get some action
he seems to get no satisfaction
even though he thinks he’s pretty slick

"I was crowned with a spike right through my head."
That's what Keith and Mick once said.
I haven't heard one of their songs in a while,
but when I do, I just have to smile.

Mick Jagger
A rolling Stone with a swagger
He got satisfaction under covers
And had many lovers

With his leonine face,
Young for his age,
A little unsteadily he
Climbs onto the stage,
Adjusts the microphone
From his special chair
Benevolently regarding us
All eagerly waiting there.
A raconteur, a story teller,
He explains his song choice
Then holds us all captive
With the power of his voice.
Songs of the sea
Songs of a different age
Songs of life and politics
As he sits and owns his stage.
The minutes fly like seconds
As the night flows smoothly on
Until all too soon it’s over
And Mick is up and gone.
But, every Sunday afternoonI
I know where he’s to be found,
With his talented gang at
The Minerva Sing Around,
And that’s real class.
Sadly, first The Kardomah and then Mick gone, but we have our memories

Musical Organisms
"Let’s Bungle In the Jungle” Jethro Tull
Don’t want to tangle
with slithery snakes.
"The Lion Sleeps Tonight” The Tokens
I won’t be walking in their
territory after dark.

This song not about drugs.

"The Unicorn"
Sung by the Irish Rovers
THIS IS NOT A TRUE IRISH SONG!!
"Wild Horses" The Rolling Stones
Can’t see Mick riding a horse.
His hips would sway too much.
"Bat Outta Hell" Meatloaf
Can’t see a bat coming out of hell
But stop pickin’ on Eddie!!!!

Not sure a crocodile can dance
Wouldn’t want to find out.

Now this song is about drugs
Go Gracie
"Black Cow" Steely Dan

Some people stand out in your thoughts
Of deeds done and strength brought
Mick Standing we remember as a friend
And a detective to uphold the right and the law to defend
He stood by members as a committee man
In the Association by popular demand
But now he has passed on in our memories
Another face gone no more to see.

That old cattle rustler, called Moron Mick
boasted about his thefts near Sheriff Nick
A noon shootout was planned
Nick had the faster hand
Moron Mick was a boneheaded dipstick

I've got a great mate called Mickey,
Some say a talented bricky.
One day he was late,
Not stood at his gate.
Looks like he's throwing a sicky.

Mick Jagger was the fire to be lit
The stage was bare and lay waiting
The world was full of
"What to do", "What to try", "What to be"
And "He" was ready for the story line........
Possessed by the rhythm of his generation
In words emanating from his musing
He told the classic rebel story
Of going against the grain
To form one's own circuitry
Belonging exclusively to
The worship and reverence of rebellion
Buzzing with charged power
His notes ushered in a new beginning
A new sound that was recreated from
The annals of historical gutsy
Down and Dirty blues
Spiked with sex and sprinkled with deviltry
That will live in classic timelessness
The rogue stood tall and whirled
His mischievous spell
Wielding wildness between the irony of good and evil
Contempt and virtue
From the age old conflict of the timeless crusade
A hero - no, an evangelist of life - yes
An inexhaustible circuit rider of our time
A Rolling Stone..........he gathered no moss!

Mick
Somethings I think about make me glad,
Somethings I think about make me sad,
But there's one thing I think about that's never bad
'Cos that one thing I think about is my dad
My dad, my dad,~
he's gone away
Nearly Thirteen years to the day
Somethings you get in life are just a fad
Somethings you get in life make you mad
But one thing I got in life that I always had
That I always have, always will, is my dad
My dad, my dad,
He is no more
Daily I think of him.... for sure
Somethings I recall from once a lad
Somethings I recall, but just a tad
But one recollection very strong, I should add
The memory of him, the man, that is my dad.
My dad, my dad,
His life is done
I love you dad, your grieving son.
