The Equality of Death

no crown endures, no throne remains,
Death levels all, in silent chains.
Immortal dreams, mortal frail,
In shadow's grasp, all faces pale.

A king may rule with gilded might,
Yet he, too, fades in endless night.
A beggar’s plea, a child’s cry,
All echo faint when time runs dry.

The sky looks down, impartial, cold,
On fleeting power, on treasures sold.
Why bow to pride, why grasp at gold,
When dust reclaims both young and old?

Each name inscribed, each title claimed,
Will vanish soon, like candles tamed.
The strong oppress, the weak retreat,
Yet all are ash beneath time’s feet.

Death whispers soft, a song so clear,
A final truth all hearts must hear:
No difference marks the high or low
In death, all paths to silence go.

Yet in this truth, a freedom gleams,
For life’s no more than borrowed dreams.
And while we walk this fragile span,
We’re kin, not masters man to man.

His work is known around the Earth
This ploughman lad of lowly birth
He wooed and won the lassies braw
His Jean the fairest of them aw
He honoured such as mice and men
And friendship flowed beneath his pen
Of parity and justice wrote
A line that I take leave to quote
“That man to man the world o’er
shall brothers be...” can’t ask for more.
Diverse his works, out of his time
The man who gave us “Auld Lang Syne"

Uncivil War by Jim Barlow

Leaves flap in the breeze
From the tops of the trees
’Round the battlefield that
Rests just below.

Hand to hand
Sun to sun
We pass on the notion
That civility in war has never been done.

Brothers in arms,
Brothers in harm.
Slaves to graves,
Anger in waves.

People in chains,
Brandishing pains.
Blue versus Gray,
As families pray.

Hand in hand
Gun to gun
We retain the notion
That civility in war has never been done.

Blue takes Gray
North wins the day
Gun is aimed
A President claimed.

“Death to tyrants”
Words of violence
A man of flaws
Brought down by law.

Man to man
Son to son
We re-teach the notion
That civility in war has never been done.

A nation cry
A last train ride
Put out the fires.
Rebuild the spires.

What God hath blessed
Man has messed
Men finally freed
Lessons learned, time to heed.

Flags fly in the breeze
Surrounded by trees
With a thousand
White crosses below.

Man to man
One by one
May we learn the lesson,
That no war has ever, truly, been won.

If you are a homosexual

Man to man
If you are a homosexual
You need to change—
I present a 'contextual' analysis
Based on a pretext and a post-text!

Your emotion is based on something
God 'your Source did not design'
Therefore. sign a 'new' beginning in your life
Be honest with God the Father and
Jesus can impact your life so that you
Can understand your purpose in life

Homosexuality is a perversion of the truth!
Do not remain perplexed or
You will be vexed with ‘deceit’
I might not understand your 'perspective'
But understand God's 'objective' when
He sent His Son to die for you and me!

Man to man
You need to change!
Homosexuality is wrong
My Government’s (Heavenly) position is clear.

Trespassing Herdsman

Ibrahim saw Abraham try to spit
But about the rudeness thought not a bit:
Herdsman coarsely attacked with a spittle
And it had no meaning or just little,
Whereas it was Abraham’s wished battle
Against his teeming hundred cattle
just placidly grazing on his farmland,
For gratitude discharging dung on sand!

Ibrahim, the black like burnt kettle,
Would, confronted, give a fight of mettle
And might, at last, on farmland just settle,
Abraham leaving to helpless rattle
On a subject of stampede by cattle
And Lord God knows that’s as bad as fatal…

With each fresh eye contact fresh spittle:
Abraham for big ones not little;
For the sure- to- fight Ibrahim herdsman
whom no folk might ever beat man to man.

Premium MemberHuman Perception

Human perception can vary from man to man
The mist may give us a beautiful scenery
In a strange place it looks like hiding evils and scandals
In politics it is a misty paradox to be revealed
In education we have to clear the misty puzzle
A life of ignorance is like wandering in mist and having a muddle
A misty love affair never fulfils a promise
Similarly
We men with limited perception
May not understand God
And so any slander is prohibited

And the walls came tumbling down.

Do you have the faith to march to battle
Raise your sword and strike the enemy down
Tread through snow with feet bleeding
Hunger pains while crawling under Death's shadow
Sleepless nights and soul searching
War is hell the anguish screams in killing
Burning days in scorching deserts
All to keep a point to hold
Disease mocks your very existence
Limbs are torn away
Drowning in swampy waters

Spears with bloody tips a glazed
Stone by stone you tear away
Stone by stone fortress made
Stone by stone piles a quick grave
The jackals belly full of human flesh
The body rots as vultures dish
Strike a blow with sword in hand
Combat man to man
If you win a hero's creed
Lose begets death as life bleeds

Why is it that so many young die
Behind shutter gates the elders survive
Deciding fate for profits sake
The more war the more money to make
Kingdoms rise and kingdoms fall
But the same people always rule us all
Did Joshua kill all evil as God command
Or did he allow some to live and bring down man
The world drowning in sin
So it begin so it ends

hand to word and
hand to hand
like a combat
man to man
word to word we spin
and spin and spin
with the words within
my power your power
spin spin spin
exhausted we stop
something in the way
bias we say
embrace and sigh
to begin anew
seeing eye to eye
pledged not to deny
we finally do begin
again and again

Premium MemberList of Shame

You'd think by now companies would have seen the light
And stopped trading in Russia and doing what is right
But many big companies are still there, raking it in
Indirectly funding that war mongerer Vladimar Putin.

See the list of companies above and remember a name
How the hell do they sleep at night, have they no shame ?
Their profits are being payed with Ukrainian blood
Bodies of innocent people lying dead, in snow and mud.

Russians are cowards, man to man they won't fight
And fire missiles indiscriminately at everything in sight
A sign of sheer desperation by an evil Russian despot
But Ukraine is fighting back with everything they've got.

Deadly Disease

The crowned virus from Wuhan
Rapidly spreads day and night;
It transmits from man to man,
Filling up the world with fright.

The people are in panic,
Each patient lies down on bed;
The threat becomes pandemic,
Leaving many victims dead.

The covid-nineteen infects
The mouth, the nose, and the eyes;
The body's lungs it affects,
Until the sick person dies.

The lockdown and quarantine
Are immediately employed;
The search for the right vaccine
Is what the WHO can't avoid.

The washing of hands is fine,
So is the social distance,
Staying home neath the sunshine
Gives household a better chance.

Lucky Ones

Some women can bounce from man to man,
They've got that pretty face and smooth skin,
But a lot of us have never been so lucky.
Never had the options to choose.
And just because we hold moral and ethical values,
Because we care about God, ourselves, and our reputation,
We cannot jump around like that, have never been able,
So we sit alone for a long, long time.
Perhaps we are wrong, but we are also true to ourselves.
Things are not always what they seem to be.
Why can't you see that everyone faces big challenges,
Every single person. Mine is being alone, doing it myself,
But...I am scared to death of being homeless.
I know what's out there, I know what they do.
I try to get by, make meager ends meet, pay my bills,
But let me remind you, there is nothing,(no one) in my life
For which I would practice being indiscreet.
Besides, I am not a beautiful woman, not a lucky one,
And not one single man has been interested in me
Since you. No, not one.
I am not one of the lucky ones.

The Meeting

I was in the chair, list of attendees:
God, the fallen angel, Alice in wonderland,
Caesar, alter ego, Nero and Cleopatra.
Solomon, doubting Thomas and Bill Clinton.

The minutes were approved, Alice hadn't moved,
Cleopatra wrestled with an asp near her chest,
alter ego said that:'I always know what's best,
Caesar made a salad, Solomon gave Cleo the come on.

The fallen angel gathered some souls, Nero played bowls,
doubting Thomas didn't think there should be another meeting,
God and I spoke man to man, I was his greatest fan,
Bill Clinton said that he did not have sex with that woman.

The meeting was called to a close, Alice went down the hole,
followed by Clinton, ready to score another own goal.

Face My Face

I have taken stock and noted that I
Have descended with all I have
To the lowest point in life to
Look back and pity my look
While I was all the while
Yet I know what I am yet
						To do to
							Face my Face
								Man to Man
									And rise And
										Rise and Rise

A face in the water - is but the mirage of a man.
                                               11/2/2019
As in water face answereth to face, so the heart of man to man.
                                                Psalm 27:19
