Lost in thought

I tend to get lost back at the beginning,
such a beautiful end. I don't need to be in love
I can just pretend.

I walk open handed on endless beaches
leavening shallow footprints for someone to find.
My imagination runs wild on the winds of maybe.

I get lost in forever skies, leading me away.
never wanting to find the end. I venture deeper into
this void of unknown delusion.

Manifestations that refuse to manifest, unresolved feelings
Questions You? Me? The epitome of solitude standing by my self
in a crowd. Ambiant light in the shade of red on the darkest
of nights.

I can be anything I want here without her

Lost in Thought, A tribute to Poe

Reluctantly I sat abusing
Some old and sad familiar musing
That for some reason kept refusing
To lie quietly

A thought that in a moment read
Was understood and put to bed
Now prancing once more round my head
O daring memory

Why must thee wallow on the tongue
Barren tree with fruit unsprung
Tormenting, tempting songs unsung
In endless reverie

So oft times I've thought before
Unquiet spirit I implore
Why dost thou rattle through these doors
Of vain assurety

Must I bear this burden hence
Without knowing why or whence
These troubled thoughts but for a pence
In silent suffering

Lost in Thought

Alone in the company of my four walls
Sometimes she visits within my thought's halls
I think to myself and ask God,
That if its not meant to be
That her and I shall never speak so free
That her beauty my eyes shall never see

That at least on the other side we could speak
Like old friends, with empathy and care
Talk about what it was like, what we were,
How we ended and why all else is just a blur

Lost In Thought

In my mind, a labyrinthine maze,
Where thoughts twist and turn in endless chase,
And I'm caught in a frenzied daze.

Memories flash like lightning blaze,
And dreams take flight in an elusive space,
In my mind, a labyrinthine maze.

Emotions surge, a turbulent race,
As I struggle to find a steady place,
And I'm caught in a frenzied daze.

The path ahead is hard to trace,
And I fear I'll lose the human race,
In my mind, a labyrinthine maze.

Yet through the haze, a glimmer of grace,
A spark of hope that I might embrace,
And I'm caught in a frenzied daze.

I'll find my way out of this place,
And rise above the endless rat race,
In my mind, a labyrinthine maze,
And I'll break free from this frenzied daze.

I tried to think of a way,
To say what I wanted to say.
I pondered and thought of lessons they taught,
But my mind just went astray.

Steeped with words so profound,
Still my voice would utter no sound.
With all sincerity and a moment of clarity,
I decided to write them down.

With ink flowing as it should;
And doing the best that I could,
Thanks to publishing leaders and avid readers,
My words were now understood.

At last I could shed my fear,
Through pride and a salty tear.
With the cover embossed at a minimal cost,
My book will be published next year.

He came to see his long lost love
To put together the pieces thereof
As blossoms fell from off the tree
His long lost love, he came to see

They told him that she was not there
His old flame who was so fair
 Disappointment left him flat
She was not there, they told him that

He walked away lost in thought
As memories of her to him were brought
He hoped to find her another day
Lost in thought, he walked away

 She would remain forever lost
As all his searches he did exhaust
Within his heart he felt the pain
 Forever lost she would remain

Lost In Thought

The glowing fire held my gaze
Lost in thought was I.
Always they turn to you,
Often do I cry.

Sat alone, midnight nears
I seek no company.
My tears are private, just for you.
I want you here with me.

But no, fate had other plans
It took you away.
No explanation, nothing,
However hard I prayed.

Known only unto God they say,
We cannot know the why.
As I gaze into the fire
What can I do, but cry.

Lost In Thought

I sat in the corner of the bookstore
Laptop open

Swirling paper and ink smells
circled with the coffee flavors

Lost in thought
I see this woman in front of me

I wonder where she has been?
Does she know where she is going?

There is a sadness in her eyes,
that holds me there
Wondering who and why?

Sometimes I see a flicker
like a spark before a fire starts
a slight smile
as she seems lost in her own thoughts
I wonder about her life

I look away
yet drawn back for one last look

Swipe of my finger
my screen comes to life

As I begin to type
For it was me I was looking at

Lost In Thought

As the mind quite
And the soul pick a
Pen to speak in ink.
Though soul may set in
Dankness, it will rise in a
Perfect light, like a value
that doesn’t decrease based on
Someone’s inability to see, I will speak.
What I wish I knew, like a
man who do not know how high
he is, until he is called to rise. like a
morning sun, blessing be the name ‘in day’,
but time still exist. I need you next to me,
maybe we could be one but where do I start to trust?

Lost In Thought

Lost in thought because I've got nothing to do. It's too early for most to move.
So I sit here thinking could this all be a ruse? I hope it's not I hope
That it's real. I'd hate for it to be false and feel the way I do. My life's been
An adventure, a real whirlwind tour. I can't wait until tomarrow because I know
That there's Moore. So untill tomarrow I'll sit lost in thought and revel in
The joy of all that I've got.

Lost In Thought

Lost in thought thinking of me
Lost in thought thinking of you
Lost in thought thinking of my kind
Lost in thought thinking of the world

The world is in chaos
Africa the nearest is forever in upheaval
Coup's are the daily breakfast news
Killings are the order of the day

Babies,children,women,men are maimed
The purpose is to disfunction
No reprisals from them
But they are and will be
Current and future workforce of the country
They had to be future leaders of the country
But now are nursing shattered dreams and futures

Who gave you the right to destroy
Who gave you the right to take life
Who are you to decide on fate
Who are you to kill
Life is not manufactured
Life is precious

God gave you life so much as everybody
He wanted you to be a good child
He wanted you to be well behaved
He wanted you to kneel down and praise him

Lost In Thought

Am I just lost in thought?
Or did the day begin and not yet end?

Is this the truth?
Or do you answer with nothing but lies?

The second question came first and caused the haze.
Thinking there is nothing but lies makes a mind begin to burst.

Feeling Incomplete While Lost In Thought

when i met you,
the art on the
walls of you were
bright and expressive
with statements and
exclamations

after a while, age and
change somehow soured
the sweetness that held
in the savoring

i became uncomfortable even
in my own discomfort around
you

as a result so painstakingly
unfortunate, i had to make
harsh choice to pack my life
up in the trunk of my car and
choose my own brand of change

now it is many moons and suns
later and the thought of you popped
up like popcorn

i guess it was the lady in the discount
store whose buttercream skin and
particular walk reminded me of other
lifetimes and you

something told me to scream out your
name as our song started playing out of nowhere
ironically

yet something else held me back, and for the rest
of the day i feel incomplete while lost in thought

walking my dog
looking across
and over mountains
a breath taking view
blue skies
white fluffy
clouds floating

i began patting
my dogs head
feeling so lonely
loosing myself
inside the mind
just gave the dog
a great big hug

sweet sadness
carried on a fresh breeze
feeling the yawning
in the silence of beauty
sweeping inside
holding out the key
standing thinking
of one beautiful rose
blushing angels
sparkling thoughts

sharing spring time
sheep lambing
listening to the bleats
of the baby lambs
my eyes they spot
a bunch of primroses
plucking one
gently putting
it to my nose

pictures flashed
in this mind
i began smiling
looking at such love
a dream in the soft
gentle fragrance
scenting such beauty
floating spring breeze

tear drops fall
smiling deeply
i never stop loving
until the end
i deserve to be happy
listening to birds
softly singing a sweet song
blowing in
a mountain breeze

tasting spring
floating upon air
oh how i await
that gentle dream beauty
who softy sweeps
over this ocean
on wings
of an angel
