Lost In Thought

The glowing fire held my gaze Lost in thought was I. Always they turn to you, Often do I cry. Sat alone, midnight nears I seek no company. My tears are private, just for you. I want you here with me. But no, fate had other plans It took you away. No explanation, nothing, However hard I prayed. Known only unto God they say, We cannot know the why. As I gaze into the fire What can I do, but cry.
