Lock Up Poems | Examples

I Will Lock Up My Door

Pain so debilitating
draining me of life
It is constant
with no respite
Saps my energy
such pain within

Pain depletes joy
from my face
Leaves strain and hurt
etched on my frown
As slowly and surely
pain grinds me down

Even when I try to sleep
pain keeps me awake
for hours on end
This enemy within
taking over my life
is dragging me down

Pain at every turn
Pain so aging
so exhausting too
Oh dear what can I do

Walking to accommodate
but posture is poor
Exacerbating problem
on walking through my door

Oh please I am begging
no pain anymore
Unwelcome guest
you ring my bell
you truly are
a visitor from hell

I will not let you in
I will lock up my door

written after a very painful period so feeling rather fragile

Lock Up

I’m going to lock it up
I’m going to build walls
No, sky scrapers
Im going to surround it with thorns
And fire will burn all the way around
I’m going to lock it
Turn the rusty key
Watch it crumble into rust, dust
Break and fall away
Pulverized, into dirt
I’m going to lock it up
I’m going to lock it up
So deep and jailed in
With bricks, stacked
Cemented by hands
Clenched, bones, white hot knuckled
Red and white, stuffed inside
Jammed and thrust into seclusion
You’ll never find it, or greet
The soft petals with your touch
The pink veined and venomed things
Which would shutter and shirk away
Locked and twisted and bound
And hidden, smashed into a trunk
Is that enough? Is that enough?
I’m going to lock it up
These angels you’ll never find
Go on, search with those yellow eyes
Those blue and hateful cold dead northern eyes
Rheumy with desire and death crusted over
Look and watch it fail in the light
Lock it up, lock it up, lock it up
Watch it fade away into the shard of a memory
And vanish into the air like a breath

Lock Up the Wolves Two

I listen to my words but they fall far below
I'll never make the same mistake
carnality lifting through the extreme
blinded decorum of harmful interludes
there isa cave with evil twisted ways
caverns filled with darkened conclaves
dark viscous fangs that bite dripping blood off side

the highway indian spirit burning riding on Hell's highway
the sound of a motorcycle engine exploding
a sound of laughter beneath it's swell
a highway to Hell
decorated plains headed as nomadic tribesmen
darkened caverns of high volume of steel
in the darkened dungeon in the pit of death
when no one cares or gives a ****
the motorcycle gang was coming out swinging
a crowd of social anarchy in the midst
the less a man thinks then so he does
we sweep things underneath the rug
here we celebrate in a new caged swing
the way the fallen apart at the seams
the wolves were in a tragic scene
things falling apart at the seams
beady little eyes with blood off side
locked away in the solitude of the moment
caged barbaric conquest through the battle
black smoke of radiating heavy metal exploits

Lock Up

< once there was a girl locked in closet
dear old dad said well thats what you get
                               little did he come know
                               let out by little bro
but recaptured by moms fishing net
