Liveth Poems | Examples

Purely psychosomatic

Where liveth preen for empathy
Drew ragged,
Poor sawbones perscribed
"where in pain warrants lithe deformities"
Swimming,
Loathed from the east
Collared,
Hung dry,
Pruned by the sweat of a racing night

When in dawn's bleached seamstress
Sought a grim vow
Erelong in catapult
Where'n torrents clothed spare
Credences in cold eyes of maggots
A cruel indifference,
In polar tear.

Premium MemberSoprano Soloist

A distinguished soprano named Dinah
sings arias in North Carolina.
But her favourite thing,
without doubt, is to sing
selections from Handel's Messiah.

With extraordinary vigor and pith
she sings "I Know My Redeemer Liveth".
When she goes to perform
she'll be in fine form
and precisely know how to giveth.

Four girls in life

Yesterday I met hope
She greeted and enabled me
to endure challenges
By amplifying self worth in me.

Today I met faith
She gave me strength
To carry on and liveth
Till i reach my destined zenith

Tomorrow I want to meet patience
To help me make logical decisions,
Improve my dexterity to accept setbacks
And reap the benefits of life much more

On the weekend I want to meet love
For my maturation and connections,
To reduce isolation in every stage of life
And to give me poise and strength.

The timing of meeting these four girls is so essential
They cut down to size the dilemma of existential
By cutting loose and unleashing full potential
To make me become influential

Rest From My Labors

Rest From My Labors
by Lanier Thomas

I’ve been acquainted with war and violence
And escaped, me thought, to a land of silence.
But war followed me and gave me no rest, hence
I must meet, face to face, war’s dread countenance.

I will have no peace till my foes lie in death;
No rest, till mine enemy spends his last breath.
I bid my love goodbye and shoulder my pack;
Pick up my gun, knowing not if I’ll be back.

I’ll love you beyond the valley of my death;
I will wait for you where love ever liveth.
But God will judge the right of what I have done,
And I’ll dwell in the eternal land I’ve won.

Premium MemberMOTHER DEAREST

Sweetest love of best care
comes from Mother dearest
greeting with morning glow
midst prayer that’s fervent
for the Lord’s blessing flow.

Sweetest love of best care
is exposed along grace
by Mother’s cheerful ray
as her embrace so warm
wraps my soul every day.

Sweetest love of best care
exudes tender mercy
oozing from Mother’s heart
while nursing woe and pain
smiting grief to depart.

Sweetest love of best care
marked by peace and kindness
props my triumphant drive
as great Mother* lives on
with legacy to thrive.

*2 Kings 4:30 - And the mother of the child said, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And he arose, and followed her.

Ode To Keats

Oh, standing by thy greenish grave !
I ponder for thousands of times
I write and write and then tear out
Hundreds of notes hundreds of rhymes

Thousands of nightingales I heard
But for thy nightingale I pine
No Ruth haunted my cotton fields
No casement in castles forlorn

My wistful eyes gazed thy love
They found thy Fanny insincere

Oh !why thou pine for such a maid?
Is love to such a maiden fair?

In country's desolate streets
No angel no person will come
Thy Beauty, Truth and Autumn all
To my hamlet I welcome

Why does thou ask to write thy name?
On watery flowing waves of lake?
I'll write down thy name with stars
On lofty sky for thine own sake
More beauteous than the evening hues
More beauteous than the stars that shine
More beauteous than the Beauty' s soul
For which Herself the Beauty pines
Who is that lady by thy side?
The goddess Moon or Fanny Brawn?

Oh come with me in vale of glee
Thy country's lanes are desolate
No one will come to talk to thee
Thou liveth in chamber isolate
Oh come and write an Ode for me
In my veins thy love circulate

Love

Oh misty shadow stop a while
I think thee I can recognize!
Thou float with clouds in every vale
With airy wings in airy guise

Oh love , thy lanes are desolate!
Which lesson thou, thy people taught?
From pages of an ancient yarn
From centuries which hath people fraught?

Thy victims moan in moonless nights
They roam in moonlit winter snow
From centuries numberless on earth
In search of thee they come and go

Their stories I'll write someday
Then send to you in morning sheen
Since thou art far from madding crowd
And we have centuries in between

Thou lives in hearts on heavens high
Thou not in mortal bodies dwell
Thou art the bond of soul with soul
No one had ever bought or sell

You feel thyself on seventh sky
If in thy heart this passion stay
It liveth in stars on towers high
But if you wish, you find a way

Love is stream from heavens God
To earthly shadows doth it flows
No one has tasted from it drop
All standing round in rows and rows

For once thou harken them my Lord
I feel in hearts of heart regret
While night is hovering on the woods
And sun on winding ways hath set

Premium MemberDying To Self

Redeemed by God to own eternal life
Forgiven, my soul is now heaven-bound
To soar for faith venture on higher ground
As new creature freed from hell-chained strife.

Subduing flesh, championing sublime will
My quickened spirit takes up cross with grace
Surmounting temptations by Scriptures’ brace
I strive toward triumphant service-hill.

Crucified with Christ, nonetheless I live*
Dying to selfishness, vanquishing pride
Revived by the Holy Ghost’s divine light
To thrive in His love as best for Him give
Rejoicing for wondrous heavenly ride
While sharing with others Gospel delight.

*Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

"Galatians 2:20 - I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me."
                        ~ The Holy Bible

With Christ, I am crucified,
I live, yet it's not I,
Christ lives in me, flesh has died,
I've got faith to live by,

The Son of God who loved me,
And for me, gave Himself,
In Him, I have faith to be,
To live and kill my 'self',

I can win over my flesh,
Because I live by faith,
His promise extends afresh
When we do as God saith.

No Embarrassment Endureth

No embarrassment endureth
With Cain’s murder of Abel: Seth,
A new born child after a death,
Tooth paste and brush for stale breath…

No embarrassment endureth:
None ever a lot achieveth,
Fights, short or long, knife back to sheath,
Water for months gone still a bath,
Years and years of naught then a wreath…

No embarrassment long liveth
Or the endless worries giveth,
Save banging of Mother by Son…

In that case, the Devil has won!

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20 of the King James Bible

Ascending upward faith-performance gain

Behooved to stand against falsity stain

Circumspect while walking midst harsh terrain

Delighting in Christ’s blessings of grace reign

Enabled for service midst labour’s pain

Fervent, combatting grievous boredom bane

Guided by God’s wisdom while goals do attain

Hoisted for life-building upon truth’s cane

I yearn to stay in the Lord’s domain

Joyously sharing love He does sustain.

Through Christ’s offered redemption gift

along faith growth for service stage.

Settling my heart upon truth page

reborn here now without baggage
as a channel for blessings’ flow.

Thankful for mission to reach-out
