A LIFE AND DEATH PERSPECTIVE

Living and dying,
Should not be deemed as surreal;
They are both so real:-
The crucifixion was real;
Likewise, was the ascension:-

Living and dying;
Physical realities,
Canvassing the soul:-
The soul sowing the spirit:
Is not Christ still here with us?

Never fret dying,
And being retired from life;
Spiritual pension waits:-
With washed feet of love’s labors,
Live and die in God’s glory:-

Premium Member Dangerous Freedom

Maybe it’s a guy thing,
But who wouldn’t prefer dangerous freedom
To peaceful slavery?
Well it turns out a majority of humanity wouldn’t.
When it comes to the choice
Of red pill vs blue pill
Most choose blue’s comfort of the known.
But in reality only those who can even see the red one
Ever get that choice,
For the vast majority the choice is made for them.
Made at birth,
As they are placed in the life-sucking pod,
Or made somewhere along the line
When the insecurities of life simply overwhelm.
The pod is always waiting after all,
Warm and secure and well contained.
What it lacks in charm
It makes up for in a beautiful dream,
Until it’s not.
But by then it’s too late
Too late to know the difference,
Too late to make a change.
Dangerous freedom meanwhile,
Likewise is not what it seems.
Because the risk is all,
The danger is welcomed
As just part of the scene.

some scriptures advocate that we negate
the here now this feeling of body-mind
but our heart’s response is to celebrate
is-ness of being-ness divine aligned

a koel sings for no reason at all
imprinting in the void a work of art
so likewise poised in a benign bliss squall
we are the vibrance of toroidal heart

manifest form and unmanifest space
former the dance and the latter the stage
origins to the noumena retrace
peaceful pulsating light that has no age

what we dismiss becomes something we miss
clear sight barren offers not taste of bliss

BEQUEATHED SHOES…

I’m walking in the shoes
Of my father’s father’s Father:-
I never had to tie them,
Though I had to bend down
To slip them on:-
I never wanted to take them off;
In them, my soul joyously walked.
Their soles walked me over hate–
Footprinting it with each loving step;
Leading me to the blessed waters
To wash feet in labors of love:-
May my children likewise walk
In the shoes of their father’s Father.

Premium Member Dear poetry

Just as each heartbeat is virgin,
as vital breath impulsed by God,
propelled by divine magnetism,
to gong of Om we give our nod.

The sacred rhythm within resounds,
nurtured in heart, scripted by mind,
symbols by bliss beats garlanded,
with music of the spheres aligned.

Waves of the ocean lap the shore,
dancing to orbit of the moon,
so likewise the poems we pen,
are God’s gifts received when we swoon.

Epiphanies that dawn are shared,
each authored by the universe,
wherein we but reflect the light,
without any need to rehearse.

Premium Member The Void Which Binds

Gravity rules all bodies of mass
An attraction where size does matter.
It’s a relative kind of thing
Balanced by the inertia
And entropy of everything
Falling away and apart.
So Earth orbits Sun
And likewise Moon, Earth
Because the pulling of one
And the flying away of the other
Makes an elliptical arc
Forces cancelled in compromise.
But what is it that rules gravity?
What is it that holds the dark matter of space together?
What is it that transcends matter altogether?
What is it that creates
When there is nothing to work with?
Within the void
Imagination was born.
Within the void
Anything was possible.
First there was light, then word, then life
But is it the Void Which Binds
That binds them all.
A void, within us and without us
A space for things to grow
A space we most simply know
As love,
Filled with that, of course, but also
Lions and tigers and bears
And pugs.

I Need It

Just your gaze isn’t enough
For me, it requires a smile
One through heart, I need it.

You thought I made it tough
In your eyes, was it style?
Difficult to brace? I need it.

Likewise my path is rough
I know, care to hear for a while
Your time for me, I need it.

Premium Member The Roots of Man

The roots of man go so deep
Some little rodent perhaps
Thoroughly relieved the dinosaurs
Are at last all gone.
And here and now
Always a mid point between past and future
The future likewise unforeseeable
Other than a vague sense of continuity.
From that future
A hundred million years from now
This past I sit in
Will be as unknown and unrecognizable
As my little mammalian ancestor’s.
Does this make it all meaningless?
Hell no!
It makes each step and stage
Miraculous.

Premium Member Boast Not Thyself Of Tomorrow - Proverbs 27: 1

Pride is really an awful thing
one's head is filled with nonsense
God is never pleased with this rot
for it makes one's head so dense

God's warning to never look too far
for the future you can never know
it can all change in a moment
in a twinkling of the eye it is so

Boasting is so stupid a thing
it marks the fall of man so clear
since Adam fell in the garden
the price paid is a dull ear

God's warning comes so very often
especially to fear God and all He says
so boastings are to be excluded
not just for a moment but all our days

Solomon has written these Proverbs
God endowed Him with being wise
man has been the beneficiary of that
so learn well likewise to rise

(" Boast not thyself of to-morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.")
Proverbs 27: 1 (KJV)

Premium Member Here now this morn

Fortunate developments do not excite,
in as a heart tremor, as they once used to
and likewise downturns diminish not soul’s light,
for we know each moment in this dream is new,
so from God’s bliss boat we choose not to alight,
glistening in sunlight, as does morning dew.
Call this a stoic stance or simply heart’s dance,
it is because we have turned inward our glance.

DAWNED AND PERPENDICULAR

Another day dawned:
Sun and I, paralleled and
and perpendicular:-
To others who are likewise,
Let us give God the praises:-

Premium Member TO SEEKING, KNOCKING, ASKING, AND GIVEN

TO SEEKING, KNOCKING, ASKING, AND GIVEN

Sometimes things can be so simple,
When you just sit and seek guidance
From the holy cistern of wisdom:-
Trying to please you has been
A challenging endeavor
For me to accomplish:-
But now, I’m in the awareness
That my focus simply needs to be,
Taking care of you in labours of love:-
“How much greater value,
Is wisdom than gold…and likewise,
Understanding, more valuable than silver?”
No, nothing can match
God’s divine navigation,
And His Son’s footprinting:-
Praise be to the Trinity,
For body and soul healing:
Indeed, just seek, knock, and ask;
And in due time, all needs will be given:-

Premium Member OF CRCIFYING PAIN AND HEALING GRACE

OF CRUCIFYING PAIN AND HEALING GRACE

The thing about crucifying pain is that it can drive you insane;
And though we’ve all experienced it, for each it’s not the same:-

Yet, we all seem to overlook, imagining the pain of
Christ, hanging on that cross in healing faith:-

Likewise, we tend not to be aware of the pain of helplessness of those
Praying for God to come, and heal your pain, and give you a break:-

Be faithful in bearing your health-bearing, painful crucifixion;
Knowing that such nailing pain will lose to healing ascension.

Know that what medicines may take lengths of time to heal;
Ask God immediately to heal you spiritually; enduring how you feel.

Yes…yes…yes, vicious pain can come and brutally slap you down,
But God’s healing grace can come–and for a while–keep you around:-

Premium Member Life's Scary Sinkholes

What looked above like solid ground
was chosen as a building site.
A sinkhole brought the building down
It fell as one decayed by blight.

Likewise, in life, sinkholes appear
and wreck the plans that we have laid
destroying that which we hold dear
and causing our daydreams to fade.

It could be news about a spouse
caught in a secret love affair
that does love’s flaming fire dowse
and proves to be your future’s snare.

A disease found in routine tests
that threatens life with certain death
and sows distress within your breast
fostering fear with every breath.

The wealth lost when the market crashed
turning stock gains to stinging pain
life’s hope of ease, suddenly dashed
the victim of a sinkhole vein.

A career-ending firing
shaking the lifestyle you have built,
When Wall Street is not hiring,
This sinkhole makes your good life tilt.

Life’s sinkholes suddenly appear
with no rhyme and without reason
So, be prepared, keep your mind clear
prepped to live in every season.

To survive life’s scary sinkholes
you must build on solid bedrock.
Choose Jesus Christ, the only sure link
In the sinkhole He’ll be your rock.
