My uninvited guest

What if one day the death comes knocking at my door uninvited,
What if it's my last day to see my loved smiling,
What will happen to the list of places I wrote, where I wanted to explore,
What will happen to my bucket list , the long drive midnight,

What will happen to my dreams , the hard

just a thought

Just a thought.

 If the Palestinians 
had looked like the Danes
 and with blond hair and blue-eyed 
Less Semitic 
Would West Europe have done more 
to save Gaza 
From the genocide we witness 
Are we witnessing racism in action

Few things are worse than not having enough,
but always having none is worse than bad.
You know that conditions are getting tough,
when you start missing things you’ve not had.

I try to write a thought each day 
but my chain of thought has gone astray. 
Hopefully it will soon return 
even though my memory is causing concern.

those days have gone.
But I still try my best
don't get me wrong.

Could this life just be a dress rehearsal for a weary soul?
Do we travel thru so many lives until we meet our goal?
Perhaps our massive egos are adept at deceiving.
Should we mourn when a person is born
and celebrate their leaving?

Professors found a haven in academia
    a safe port in the storm of big business' toxemia  
  As meaningful as writing articles for encyclopedias
    as daring as interning for social media... 
 
  So now Professor's young charges want 'safe spaces'
    far away

What is more beneficial to all?    The non-thinker or the overthinker.

So silly we are – 
We, the races of peoples...
seeking what is already
found, apparent: Dark Matter?
Turn out the lights. God? See
ourselves and the vastness around
us, both near and far. Nothing
is missing but our own explanation – 

learn ourselves
and meet a universe....
