John Read Poet Rhyme

Just a Thought

I try to write a thought each day 
but my chain of thought has gone astray. 
Hopefully it will soon return 
even though my memory is causing concern. 

As for poem's themselves
those days have gone.
But I still try my best
don't get me wrong. 

For every now and then,I feel inspired 
even though my thinking has retired. 
Using my computer,the words look sweet 
Then without thinking,I've pressed delete. 

Oh well.
