Best Just A Thought Poems

Just a Thought

Always around
slightly small mostly black
think of my kids
that's what holds me back
cracks in my heart
such a delicate shell
tears fill my eyes
my eyes start to swell
try to be a new me
no drugs no liquor
now my eyes open wide
more reasons to pull the trigger
thought it was real
did you mean what you said
starting to see the truth
make the target my head
holding back so much pain
but still some leaks out
no one to talk to
feel better with cold metal in my mouth
no peace in my soul
it will not rest
another thought comes to mind
aim straight for my chest
even then I cry
thinking of taking a last breath
seriously thinking without me
would the children be best
feeling like a criminal
I've committed no theft
here is a person that's broken
I have nothing left
I'll walk away now
before I do something stupid
stop leaving it around
one day I might use it
no, no.... I can't
gotta remember my babies
this is a silent prayer I'm tormented
God please save me

If you could change the world
What would the first thing be
Maybe close down all the zoos
To set the animals free

Maybe get yourself some air time
To tell all people to take a stand
For the rulers of our countries
Have gotten to far out of hand

Maybe tell all of the people
You now have your own lives to live
Though if you want to live them happily
Learn,and use the word forgive

Maybe stop all of the madness
That new technology brings
People used to live without it
And they did just fine without those things

Maybe stop all of the wars
And get everybody watching everyones back
Then we will no longer need to use the words
Steal,kill,murder,war,execution,or attack

Just a Thought

The night is questionable, perhaps I am
Why don't it all go away for tonight to stay?
I have exhausting hours without the end
I have words without a voice to say

Because I want to travel tonight
I want it all to go and come away somehow
I want to be the center of light
I want to be here for tomorrow's yesterday now

I need to be clear that I'm unclear
I need to see what my eyes wouldn't otherwise
I need to be younger than a peer
I need a concealable truth in an inconceivable lie

I want to be free when I'm bounded
I want to be sound amongst the impounded
I want to hear music without movie
I want to watch movies and never be
I want to love without feelings
I want to be full without eating
I want to taste without biting down
I want to enjoy silence with a sound
I want to say things without being heard
I want to know things and be a nerd
I want to let go by pulling strong
I want to be alive without being born
I want to think without thoughts
I don't want to commit but I want to be caught
I want to tell you yes when you say no
I am hot when I am freaking cold
I want to fall down when standing tall
I want to ignore my loving mother's phone call
I want to be upset when I'm genuinely happy
I want a dysfunctional, disloyal, disapproval memory
I want to be impeccable to screw everyone up
I want to be incapable to be brimming proud
I want to die in all manner of disgrace
I want to be distinguished as a man without taste
I want to tell the world that I exist
And for everyone to be like me... they can only wish

I just want to say
Why do you want to be what you can only be?
Do you think a correct path is okay?
Do you think an incorrect path is a fated story?

I'm questioning the night now... I am
Because its dusk in my dawning relay
I am exhausting a helpless mind to an end
If I forget tonight's tomorrow, can I remember tomorrow's yesterday now so as to forget tonight's tomorrow for tomorrow's yesterday.

In the increasing constriction
Of government restriction

I offer the following observation
Of freedoms suffocation

Of daily liberties
Savagely curtailed

Of your war on everything
That has sadly failed

Of your attempts to control the masses
Becomes comical as it passes

Many like me question your sanity
Or is it simply blind vanity?

Why is it so important to control the mundane?

Why is power such a treat?
Why relish the suffering at your feet?
Do you really believe
That you’re the “elite”?

I can’t help but laugh at that term
Please forgive the disrespect
As I snicker for effect

To me it’s simply ludicrous
Because you’re such a joke
The masses you seek to silence
Are angry and awoke

I wish to simply confide
That you might want to step aside
Before the masses take you for a ride
To your “unfortunate suicide”

Are you getting the vibe?

Just a Thought

Maybe I want to die today...
It's just a thought, a feeling.
My hands would never act on it.
But maybe my heart would
String a rope together with its veins
And stop beating for awhile.
It needs a break, I'll admit that.

I remember the songs I heard today
                                           Yesterday  Somewhat
                                        Tomorrow  God only knows

Raking, through the ashes
Shivers rolling up my spine,
Knowing, some similar day
These embers will be mine.

Just a Thought

Went to the orchestra tonight,
All had tails, and gowns to floor,
Distinctive sounds, sounded right.
Came the end, conductor on guard,
Lady’s cleavage focused on;
Conductor’s baton now quite hard
All’s well that bends well, saintly true,
While conductor’s trousers? Steadily grew.

Thinker,
failure,
soldier,
sailor,
airman,
dead man,
grief.
Politician,

blind man,
teacher,
banker,
usurer,
thief.

Just a Thought

Not too long ago
Cigarettes permeated our culture
Tobacco companies were powerful
Science discovered a link between
Cigarettes and cancer
Cancer was deemed unhealthy

You no longer see media ads for cigarettes
You rarely see smoking in movies

It seems that someone somewhere noticed

Violence permeates our culture
Even down to a recent ad for electronics
Involving an adult interviewing preschoolers
“Which is better, one laser beam or two?”
The (satisfying; amusing?) response
Was “Two. Laser beams from both eyes
Can make big explosions! Boom! Boom!”

Someone noticed that Bullying can lead to
Suicide, which is deemed unhealthy
And people are working to stop it

Gee, what about guns? Assault rifles; hand guns
Which have no sporting or food hunting purpose
After the latest grade school massacre
Have we finally decided that guns may be unhealthy?

The first rule of Health Care is, “First, do no harm.”
Sounds like a good rule for Humanity

Reality, Friday Night , Just a Thought

I fancy getting whip lashed
and drugged up...

But then my ironing has to
be done.

Just a Thought

What if the Lamb that was sacrificed,
decided not to pay the price?
What if they knew He was the only choice.
What if Jesus didn't move his voice?
What if they looked for the purest source to go,
what if they looked at Jesus and he said no...
What if He was born,
to a virgin one glad morn?
But what if then He changed the plan,
and choose not to save man;
Decided not to be beat down,
carry the cross or wear the crown?
Feel the nails burrow through past his skin.
What if Jesus didn't die for our sins...
What if there was no Calvary, no salvation for you or me?
What if there was no answer when we pray,
no comfort for us from day to day?
What if we had been created then just left alone,
no promise of paradise to call home?
What if there was no higher power to go to for help,
What if God said it's D. I. Y. do it yourself...

The thought of this should make you fall to your knees.
Make you rejoice and feel so relieved.
Cause when time came Gods son said "I'll Go".
They told Him what would happen and He said "yeah I know".
He foresaw being laughed at and beat.
The ones he was saving setting up his defeat.
Didn't say one single word.
As they marched Him and called Him things so absurd.
Lashed Him and made Him carry His cross.
They tried to break my savior for a debt I would cost.
Being spit on and nailed to a tree.
And when it happened He said "Father forgive them for me".
Think about it, and how it has you feelin.
Then multiply that by about 10 million.
That's just the down payment on the amount of praise you owe.
Can you afford to stop praising Him?
The answer is no.

Just a Thought

Never to such lofty order have I treasured company.
Yet the promise of your presence grants a peace so true to me.
I wonder if you’re conscious of the medicine you bring.
My wounded form is desperate to hear you laugh and sing.

The thought of you is greater than the confines of my mind.
The sight of you is perilous, yet I don’t wish to be blind.
A vortex is my waking, shrinking to a single place—
a paradisal scene that pales before your lovely face.

Ah! What are you doing? Perhaps you cannot know!
If this is but your shadow, how can I face the glow?
O dear, I cannot stop it. Your might leaves me no choice.
Am I commanded actively? No words ... where is your voice?

Regardless, how can I resist? Ne’er shall I be blue,
for I drink deep of happiness when’er I dream of you.

Just a Thought...

Yeah –
I
thought about it

I
Looked at all those pills
in their precise, pristine,
plastic bottle & yeah,
I thought about it

I
looked at the shimmering,
silky, shining straight-edge razor and

I
thought
about
it

I
looked at my wrists and yeah,

I thought about it!

~~~
I thought
about it
& then I
cradled the silent silver
seductive steel barrel of the
firearm in my hand
And boy howdy did I
think about it
~~~

But, now all in all,
now, just as always,
it was (l)on(e)ly

and simply a thought

Just a Thought

Maybe   it wasn't her.
Maybe   the reason I hated
            seeing you together
            wasn't her.
Maybe the reason it was so
            easy to let her go wasn't
            because I no longer
            liked her.
Maybe   I never liked her.
Maybe the reason I moved on
            so fast wasn't
            because she hurt me.
Maybe it was because she hurt
            you.
Maybe the reason I cry isn't
            because you have her.
Maybe it's because SHE has YOU!
Maybe   ...I love you...
