"Serpentine"

Give a woman enough rope
and She’ll show you
what hanging’s worth

the life coiled around
a body of work
could be misconstrued

serpentine
She draws from the rock
like it's Her cornerstone

creation
sexuality
fertility

the life force
of our
ever spinning planet

serpentine
like it’s Her cornerstone
the conscience, conscious

In The Dreaming
It speaks
Its tongues

She listens

Premium Member I Can See It Already

Oh, I can see it already!
               And you know so, too.
                     Some rappers
      Cutting their next album already
             In the recording studio;
                Scrambling to work...
            George("Jorge"?) Santos
                    Into their lyrics,
In line that goes something like...

"Now, don't be tellin' fake tales like Santos!"

Each rapper wanting to be the very first
           To release that hot single!

NOTE:THIS IS AN OPEN(organic) FORM VERSE using spaces&breaks without grammatical symbols ,the ' open' relies upon 'the one breath limitation' & so inherently requires the 'reader' (reciter) to input and responds thus making this enigmatic form a two way interplay & interpretatIon unique to the moment& changing according to mood is inherently variable.

Premium Member Translation of Jorge Manrique's Third Copla:Coplas a La Muerte De Su Padre By T Wignesan

COPLA UNO: This Bad Guy World - in all seriousness

[The entire sequence of 114 coplas: “This Bad Guy World”, dedicated to Jorge MANRIQUE, 1440?-1479. I give here in translation his third “copla à pied quebrado” in Arte Menor metre:

“Coplas a la muerte de su padre” (Coplas on the death of his father) -

Our lives are like rivers
that empty into the sea
……..where we expire:

There the lordly peers
come to their final spree
……..and no more transpire;

There gushing rivers swell
and others less imposing
……..and the rivulets

All arrive at the same sea level
those who toil with hands living
……..and the fortunates

Absurd Proverbs - Cordel

Politics is smart on one side
but it's half luck for another
when you win it's hazard
when you lost it's sourish
I think so much Pirulin
I got the first mush
before giving to each other.

Who doesn't cry, doesn't breastfeed
still said the song
and Sir Jorge made a fool
he wanted to face the dragon
the beast was so naughty
took it from a mandolin
and went fishing in Nippon.

 All that shines is gold
says the law of my backlands
there the only shines so much
  as golden brown
Sivuca who was an alchemist
he added harmonica with pifa
 placed Sinata on the ground.

Slowly you go far
it was a communist motto
in Russian and England
and very futuristic lotto
Ze Lezin serious goat
wrote the package insert
and became capitalist.

Better two birds in hand
than two birds flying
best three lucky fart
than gas butane methane
so thought Napoleon
when he fell on all fours
in a serene afternoon...!

A classic encounter. The fans made the most of it by teasing Big Bibby, and Booing Grindhart
Several exchanges and also of wrestling, and 10:20 Gigerium quieted the crowd when he
Body slammed Big Bibby onto their opponet
Selmer Hurd. The further hushed to silence when he piledrove Selmer and appeared to be on the edge of victory. When from ringside "Golden Stellar" Orsi Gordy came to the ringside area. He distracted Shuttercrest to allow Crampton to roll and small package Shuttercrest for the victory. At the end of the bout words exchanged between Gigerium and Calloway. Calloway whipped Gigerium into ropes and speared him, to the delight of the fans.

Through a Glass, Darkly

Through a Glass, Darkly

This first translation of an unwritten poem
By Jorge Luis Borges stands against
Invisible Spanish on the left-hand page
      Sadly imperfect Anglo-Saxon reflex
      Of pure anticipation fine suspension
Clear aperture though when this blurred mimesis
Of vision is erased the parable
Of vision will emerge like messages
We coded into lemon-juice as children
And held to candles where brown letters forming
Were artless alchemy but then these lines
That honour him who read in dark the volumes
Of an infinite library who will be writing
When his loved hourglass turns again to sand.

Is Pam To Be a Mother Focker

Greg Focker was always an awkward man,
only fiancée Pam could understand-
Jack would be his in-law,
and soon baby’s Pawpaw,
retired CIA in all the land.

The Focker’s housekeeper was Isabel,
rumors Greg had an affair and didn’t tell-
Had a spawn named Jorge,
from Greg’s roll in the hay,
in young puppy love dear Greg Focker fell!

Suspicious Jack kept his eye on Greg’s life,
since his daughter Pam would be his sweet wife-
Don’t mess with government,
they show no sentiment,
he made Greg’s days full of torment and strife.

Jack decides to give Greg ol’ truth serum,
knowing sorry Greg really did fear him-
Blurts out Pam is pregnant,
that wasn’t his whole intent,
but did angry Jack really hear him?

Turns out Jorge wasn’t really Greg’s son,
ends up marrying Pam, had lots of fun-
Jack will always despise,
but so soon realize,
for his daughter Greg was the perfect one!

The Night Does Not Turn Off the Imagination

In the folds of the hills
Where the concern lies
And houses are put in the inclined land

The old lady, Manuel's mother
Of Jorge and Isabel
Lived Jaime and Isabel
Lived Jorge and Amanda his wife
Lived the widow of Roberto
The widow's teenager
lived Felipe and Luis
Lived Alejandra
Until the February fire.
Now they live in another fold.

Diehard Fan

I am a Diehard Cubs fan
Tried and true
I wear cubbies Royal
And I bleed Cubbies Blue
I grew up watching Ernie,Billy and Santo
Ryno, Grace,and Leon
Were all my Heros.
Later it was Sosa, Maddux and Wood
They all lived through the heartbreak
From a team that never could.
Today I watch and smile
Tears run down my face
2016 is the year
My Cubbies are First Place.
Rizzo, Jake and Javi
Kris, and Dexter, Albert
Addy, Ross and Schwarber

This team have finally done it
Brought the trophy home
For all our family who are gone
They spent their life teaching us
Never to give up, be strong
To Wait till next year
When our magic numbers up
You finally did it guys
The talk of curse is gone
Forever in our hearts you'll be
The team who got it done

Changed my name to Jorge when I moved to Florida...

You don't want to get familiar with me.

Above the teachers, there's a principle, you see?

You don't want to get familiar with me.

denounced the hedonist
that Porsche, you can't seriously say it is missed.
