Mine have been brown for some time now and refuse to grow
Rather or not your garden is any greener I'm curious to know
I can only go off the way your lawn seem to appear
The fresh cut grass smell anytime you're near
That promise of growth due to your daily manure
Unlike my garden, your beauty comes off secure
I can tell you have had a green thumb for some time now
I want to change from grass to wood chips but wouldn't know how
I been tolerating embarrassment from the eyes of others
Water can't hold under fake grass, shall I go any further
Other gardeners have given help and different suggestions
But I tend to over water at times leaving wrong impressions
I've tried different methods and every idea over the years
I've tried replowing, re-weeding with blood, sweat and tears
I realize your grass isn't greener and that my soil is just tough
But my current garden is withering and at this point I had enough.
the squirrel had stopped in the middle of the tree trunk
I thought at first, he was counting his nuts and junk
But it was a daisy he held in his hand that day
“She loves me, she loves me not,” I heard him say.
Isn’t that sweet? I said to my man who rolled his eyes.
A squirrel who speaks English, this was a marvelous surprise.
I ran out there to make some conversation with him that day.
He showed me his fluffy tail moves and ran promptly away.
there is always time to dust and clean
so I choose to spend my time doing fun things
painting, cartooning, watching tv shows,
playing with my dogs, visiting with my friends
there is always time to vacuum and scrub
so I spend my time writing poetry,
planting flowers, shopping for shiny things,
cooking barbecue in my crock pot
There is always time to sort and throw
so I spend my time doing whatever I want whenever I want
Confident my children will have an easier time throwing
when I am out of time
It was just a dream but I have a headache from tears I never shed.
It was just a dream but my breath is racing.
It was just a dream but my heart is still thudding in my chest.
It was just a dream but the pain still pulsates throughout my entire body.
It was just a dream but I still feel their hands on me.
It was just a dream but I still hear the echoing of their whisper.
It was just a dream.
It was just a dream.
It was just a dream but why does it feel so real?
It was just a dream.
It has to be just a dream.
Please let it just be a dream…
"Isn’t she a bit odd?" a PTA lady asked me.
I did not know what to say.
She was my cousin, so not odd to me.
The others fell silent.
"I think she came to one of our meetings, " one said.
"I remember that," another chimed in. "She didn’t fit in so well."
Probably because you were so welcoming, I thought.
She cannot be a witch, the children cry.
She is our great-grandmother, we call her Vi.
She comes floating down the stair and gives them the eye.
What are you speaking of? And she asks them why.
Someone called you a witch, the children said.
Oh, yes, she agreed. “Until I am dead.”
You know that a witch can paint her lips a pretty red.
I am a beautiful one, their Grandma Vi said.
But isn’t a witch bad? Asked her grandson, Jack.
She laughed until they thought she’d had a heart attack.
A witch’s motto is “to no one do harm, to be yourself, Jack.”
It’s not like we put children in stocks or on a pulling rack.
But Grimm’s fairy tales said witches are bad.
Because those books were written by a jealous cad.
Who did not understand that women can have power too.
Do not let those silly tales fool either of you.
You think you found the one
It isn’t the first time either
You trust them completely
You tell them everything
you would tell the one
you thought you would
spend your life with
Next thing you know
everything goes to hell
in a hand basket
Once again love slips
through your fingers
It turns out to be
all a lie once again
When will you ever learn
maybe the one isn’t out there
Maybe your meant to be alone
Love isn’t even real
All it is heartache
One big lie in life
When papa brought me home, I felt loved from the start.
I had no problem giving all of you my whole heart,
You all never made me feel like canine, I was family.
I was protective towards you all; I gave all of me,
When I ran out the gate, I ran after my little brother
Aimed to keep him safe; had strong bond with one another,
But I never made it across the street I was hit by a car;
I was hurt badly; all I could think was, it wasn't that far.
And where was my little brother? Was he safe and ok?
My life was fleeting; he came by my side that awful day.
(a firefly poem)
Love isn’t easy to find, it’s ?well-camouflaged.
Every Day Isn’t

In the spring of my life,
when leaf was green.
Thoughts were fixed on,
places & things unseen.
But as life progressed,
those yearnings chilled.
Many earlier aspirations,
are now filed, unfulfilled.
My body now covered,
with markings of time.
Leaving me to fantasize,
back to my prime.
My smile has vanished,
replaced by frown.
I sit and daydream,
as my life turns brown.
Then comes a day,
when Geese are calling.
Chill fills the air,
and this leaf is falling.
I’m half me
Are you half you
We’ve given up
Still there’s much to lose
We’re lying here together
When we should call a truce
For fighting off these feelings
There really is no use
What we’re in....isn’t love
We’ve settled for
What’s not part of us
We both miss
The passion and lust
Cause what we’re in.... isn’t love
Would you like coming home
To open arms
Kisses that aren’t shallow
That are now the norm
I bet everyday
Would feel like years
Anticipating and waiting
For what awaits us dear
All the nights we could be talking
Wishing they never had an end
Instead we’re stuck here wondering
Not just settlin’
What we’re in....isn’t love
We’ve settled for
What’s not part of us
We both miss
The passion and lust
Cause what we’re in.... isn’t love
We’re waiting to find what we left behind
Way back in our youth...
The hardest part is knowing
And hiding from the truth
What we’re in....isn’t love
We’ve settled for
What’s not part of us
We both miss
The passion and lust
Cause what we’re in.... isn’t love
What we’re in....
Isn’t love
Temptation isn’t Sin
Written: by Miracle man

We don’t have to sin each time we’re tempted,
* because God makes for us an avenue of escape.
A Christian doesn’t go through life untempted,
but with each temptation our character we reshape.
Like leeches on skin Satan adheres to your soul,
not always leaving telltale scars in sight.
It’s always little things until he’s gained control,
but on judgment day all will come to light.
* 1 Corinthians 10:13
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
I hide in my room from the bull this house draws in, and puts out through the people inside. I miss the happiness this house had. I miss feelings welcome, and loved in this house... Its not home anymore.
Home:
1. A place filled with people you love, and who love you.
2.A place you feel safe
Home is where you go when youre having a bad day and you want to relax, let out all you've been supressing throughout the day.
People may ask, "Why do you supress? Why not be yourself?"
You ask that until i start getting comfortable and start showing who i am just for you to tell me im ed in the head, and you board up my walls yourself...
I fear coming "home". Everyone who fears going to the place everyone in their family calls home, has their own reasons.. Whether it be abuse, harrasment, sexually, or other things. If they fear something in their house its not something small.
No ones problems are too small.. It may be small to others, but to that person its bigger than you might think.
Death isn’t the end
It can’t be
It’s not that I feel you here
I wish that I could so badly
I look for signs that you’re near
Death isn’t the end
It can’t be
You’re on my mind constantly
I hear your voice
Your laugh
Your screech
I imagine exactly how you’d be
Death isn’t the end
It can’t be
You had so much more left to give
To a world too messed up to nurture you
You endured so much pain since a kid
Death isn’t the end
It can’t be
I wish I’d done so much more
Instead of flying home to your coffin side
I wish I’d have knocked on your door
Death isn’t the end
It can’t be,
I wish you’d talked to me
I wish I’d written you a letter
Instead of writing your eulogy
Death isn’t the end
It can’t be
I think of you every day
Your talent, your humour
Your sayings, your kindness
Your infectious laugh
Your smile was the brightest
Our guardian angel up above
Death isn’t the end
It can’t be
Forever is our love
