there once was a little poor boy
who hadn't a single toy
he had figured it out
and to the world he'd shout
money isn't the way to joy
Trust is not given
its earned
i gave
you lied and you lost
now you start over
how long will it take
maybe never
i dont know
its up to you
Family isn’t blood
Family isn’t blood,
It’s the one who cares.
It’s the one who stands by you.
It’s the one who treats you right.
Family aren’t perfect,
But they care about you.
But they stand by you.
Mine is my daughter.
Mine is my friends.
"Isn’t she a bit odd?" a PTA lady asked me.
I did not know what to say.
She was my cousin, so not odd to me.
The others fell silent.
"I think she came to one of our meetings, " one said.
"I remember that," another chimed in. "She didn’t fit in so well."
Probably because you were so welcoming, I thought.
Is it me or is it that love is just not meant for me
Is it me or is it my emotions leading me this way
im scared that im not meant for love
Is it cause im young what is it
someone HELP !!!!!!
my emotions are killing me and my future relationships if I ever get one
no one excepts me for who I am but ........ will see
What do I do when being me just isnt enough?
What do I do when I try to look my best
just to impress you.
What about when I try so hard to get your
attention but you just turn away.
Am I not so tough,
that I let my guard down.
And I let you inside, every time.
What do I do when the memory of you
fades away but slowly I die inside
to be with you.
Forgiving Isn’t Forgetting
Written: by Tom Wright

We’ve oft times said that we forgive,
But reflections, we frequently retain.
We methodically bring back to relive,
As if emblazoned within our brain;
Hopefully, forgiveness comes in time,
For things which we hold in reserve;
While we feel subjected to a crime,
That’s often better than we deserve.
soft
raven
jet 'BLACK'
short
puffy
afro 'BLACK'
thick
matted
tangled hair
unstyled
unkempt
headscarf
seals my 'BLACK'
thick
course
wavy
nappy headed grave
coil
curl
twist
my fingertips
pleasant sore
my 'BLACK' hair scorn
rapunzel hair weave
creamy crack relaxer
black hair hatred
hair expresses rotten
yet and still what is to love 'BLACK' hair
Looking above my head
I see a lovely bed
Sitting on the throne
the angels feel at home
Laughter and smiles fill the air
Thats what I long to share
Not knowing what tomorrow brings
can I just hear the angels sing
I will not be afraid
I will just fade
We will see the born
and when they die we'll mourn
No tears in heaven will be shed
I see all this when I look above my head
the squirrel had stopped in the middle of the tree trunk
I thought at first, he was counting his nuts and junk
But it was a daisy he held in his hand that day
“She loves me, she loves me not,” I heard him say.
Isn’t that sweet? I said to my man who rolled his eyes.
A squirrel who speaks English, this was a marvelous surprise.
I ran out there to make some conversation with him that day.
He showed me his fluffy tail moves and ran promptly away.
say it isn't true,
that your really gone away--
am i going to get through,
cause theirs so much i didn't say--
there will never be another dad,
never another like you--
pictures can seem so sad,
or anything i may do--
i just want to go back,
the way it used to be--
before you got sick & off track,
when you were just fine and healthy--
i know timmy was there,
when you flew up to the sky--
but so many people here cared,
and will always ask why?--
