Inconsistencies Poems | Examples

X-Ray

Love meets us where we are

and sees through

 Our disguises

Our guises

Our performances

Our nuances

Our expectations

Our innovations

Our convictions

Our contradictions

Our excellencies

Our inconsistencies

Love greets us where we are

Sees right through us

and does not run away

Premium MemberThe Heart

For most of my life, I had heard it said,
'Follow your heart.' It made sense to me,
but there was a measure of vagueness.

Only a few years ago did I hear someone say,
'Do not follow your heart; LEAD your heart'.

Someone has also said, 'Lead, follow, or get
out of the way. ' What shall I then do?

Upon hearing the word, LEAD, I knew immediately.
I knew that my heart did not have the leadership
qualities required to navigate this journey of mine.
I knew that my heart reeked with inconsistencies.
At times, it was indecisive, weak, and worried.
At times, it displayed both surprises and deceit.

With such traits, how could my heart be depended
upon to lead me through the hills and valleys of life?
I needed decisiveness, strength, confidence, and faith.
I needed something, someone, greater than me or my heart.
That is where Christ and His teaching came in with answers.

Personal Inconsistencies

Consistency is key isn't it not?

Then why does it feel like a chore rather than a reward?

Nobody gives you a road map on life
So why are there so many pressures from wrong to right?

Inconsistency has been a part of my whole life
Whether I knew it or not

But that's the thing

Little girls and little boys are constantly told
How to act
How to be
How to become just the thing their parents need

But never how to be free

Free from limitations of themselves and this 'such cruel world' they're preached about

"This world is a dangerous place"

Then show me what to do
Instead of putting all these things in my head of what I should want to do

Show me how to be cautious but true to myself

Because you've never done that now

Oh I'm so sorry if this feels like too much to ask
But I'm tired of not knowing who I want to be, who I could be, who I will always be

The real me

Regardless of you or this world
I'm done

For the first time in my life, I want to be me

Eccentric, silly, fun-loving me

Writings of a storm cold

Writings of a storm cold

The house gently
Creaks
From icy winds pressing against
Exteriors whilst slipping
Through
Small inconsistencies.
Sleet dances against window panes.
Piling glass against glass,
Particulates of infinite possibilities.
Fractals dancing down,
Tap dancing on rooftops.
I sit at kitchen table,
Bundled from the cold.
My only friend and partner, a
Dancing flame from candle
Casting shadows upon the walls.
Words scratching valleys and
Mountains across vast white expanse.
Scratching eloquence..
Moving still.
Plumes of billowy
exhale
surround my head
Like a haloed angel.
Tonalities of gray, from white to
A Dark and shadowy blackness.
Reaching out,
Ever growing,
Like the reach of sea creatures lost beneath vast depths.
Here I sit,
Staged against the cold.
A storm of ice,
From liquids fallen from skies with stories
Told.
I am their conductor.
Dance for me of wind,
Whisper in mine ear.
Settle still o house of moaning temperance
Against a northernly wind.
All the while my quill to
Parchment
Sliding out visions painted by verbiage.

She

For one, I am small and increase the body of reverse
As love and hate enter space and time without poles
The largeness of sleep and dimensional reality
Going into a law of consistent inconsistencies
Raw the cost never leaves into laughter
By his own facts which enlist varied gods
Sex is the validation unto which is declaration
To make intent stronger and mind no speak into the certainty
Twisting and turning where skills are refused
War seems skill
War seems knowledge
Also fight
Yet experience makes cry and far as you run
The earth makes sure of variation
To watch through the glass
By expectancy and obliterate
It has been the patriot to call love
So the squeeze will leave as rendered outside of the king
Available as throwing the towel in
Because the lights among us would offer rationale
As tossing in self sacrifice is the magnified gain
Old friends make more dinner in adverse
Guessing without a train nails part
Mission would herald the boarding bite so clear

Ambivalence

Her words and actions are conflicting
inconsistencies and quirky thoughts
going through the motions
and playing your part
aa man can get tired of the samethang
wondering what spell you're in
wondering if things might change
creating distance guess you're not
commitment minded but you wish to
think you are
you express interest in me
only to have your way
undermining my sincerity
or maybe it's me
it could be
identifying myself as
yours
maybe it's me
that's a possibility
people like to make you
believe everything
about you is wrong
you should never convince someone to
make time for you

From S[lit D Ring

She acts weird so that if you talk about
the person she allows you to know
is completly different
then the pperson she is.....
I losted the reed to my oboe
and was upset. She used the condition
of my emotional state
to create a situation.

Is it past tramua effecting us
or mix signaling.

The Authentic I

I cannot see untainted,
The world without the warping windows.
I fail to make, for I am merely
An illusion of inconsistencies
Stolen from society.

I wonder how open a mind can be before its brains
start to
spill.

The buttons on a blouse,
the proportions of her face,
the rules of a tennis court,
Lost in this familiar place.

The simple essay makes me think.
A pen out of ink.
We shrink.

What will happen when I experience
The real world?

Get a grip
And grow up.

Need I Keep Watching Your Pretences

Need I keep watching your pretences:
You're good only at using tenses!
And I need not mind your courtesies:
Put you I have in parenthesis,
Catholic your inconsistencies,
On this could write a Master's Thesis.

Now, it's certain you're no monument,
Though fabulous your emolument,
Much cash left after picked ornament,
Never had cost much: sought liniment...

Need I keep observing your movements
That translate not into improvements?
To a passerby gross engagement
Or a reason for disparagement...

Confer I shall with the New Management.

Premium MemberMistletoe and Christmas

Mistletoe and Christmas go hand in hand
The mistletoe and its beautiful cherries
Christmas carols and bells, bright stars and pine trees
With light snowfall can create a winter wonderland.

What a spectacle of lights and divine beauty
The whole world celebrates awesomely
The birthday of Jesus Christ born in Africa
What a shock for the entire Diaspora!

Baby Jesus was different, that’s why
From the crèche they wanted to sacrifice and crucify
Him, their goal was to kill Him like a goat
Which they did, but He returned. It’s time to gloat.

The Messiah can be a subject of controversies
Deceptions, propaganda, polemics and inconsistencies
Oh! This is Noël, let’s rejoice and enjoy the feasts
At least and at last in this joyous season, let’s live in peace.

Trickster, it's crystal clear you profess to
claim your innocence of being ethical and
loyal. yet on the other hand many red flags
                                  revealed your inconsistencies. Trickster
unobservant you pulled evidence from your
pockets unaware like a magician pulling the
evidence like a rabbit out of a hat. Trickster,
you incessantly elude to accept the truth, you're
unhealed actions may be something from past
events that seem to imprison your mind.

Trickster no I'm not delusional to convince me
I'm clueless and continually disowning the truth.

Trickster why are the constant hollering and screaming
for the courses of action you created.

Thoughts Encouraged Far and Fast

Voided spaces
Empty
Empty

Lost in white
Vast in whiteness

Blank expression
Senseless senseless

Far mirage, a point of reference

Before And After
Miracle Man
5/23/2022

Before,
Inconsistencies in my days had stolen from my pleasure,
and only God knew the sum of my shortcomings and sin.
Before, I’d never given life an effort, that was full measure,
But this was before the moment, my walk with God began.

After,
Force is never the road to take, making me, to rules comply,
but on matters I’ve deemed important, I’ve taken a stand.
I’ve tried to be the person who didn’t have to, but dared to try,
a man, when seeing a need, would always extend a hand.

Cloaked In Their Untruths

Cloaked in Their Untruths
By Sy Roth

Behind a cloak their little secrets roved,
Like silent, swishing vagrants eluding the truth
The darkness so thick,
A wall of impenetrable secrets built around it.

Leaving the unclosing to callow youth
Senseless in their wasteful trepidation,
They took no time to explore their truths
Dressed in slim, tight gabardine their desires arrested.

They had no need to validate,
No desires to explore.
Lost opportunities heaped into a morass of speculation
Until the voices of the antecedents were silenced.

Screams of loss as the span between life and death widen
They find in their own selves no validity
Only a vacuity in a tale filled with inconsistencies
That are bungee cords flipping them hither and yon unbound.

No way to make whole the person in a sere fabric
When the stories are filled with imagined realities.
They erect their own corpus on a land of falsities
Left only with mislaid dreams of not taking time with the whole cloth.

Death In the Sanctuary

Immortality looking invincible,
Athena's arpon arsing shadows,

Amazonite unfading Athenaeum species,
A lasting blade for an immortal legacies,

Fallacies befall the inconsistencies,
Fragrances crash the inconveniences...

Extinction of lives is overturned by heavenly bliss,
Angels are guardian spirits,

Humanity is saved,
Hell is dead.
