Premium Member Judgement

How proud they put them on display
Two thousand of the first of fortyk
There President Bukele did say
They’ll live in the jailhouse for decades
he went on boasting, in jail it’s judgement day,
as he held his glass of brandy toasting
inmates, suspected violent gang members
moved to a new mega-prison in El Salvador
Transferred to the Center of Confinement of Terrorism
Mixed up, unable to do any more harm
to the population, it was said
So why do I care about these souls,
tears flowed as I read the article
about thousands of prisoners, and Bukele in particular
Central American country’s notorious pandillas
And right then I understood why I cried
Hundreds never made it to round two, que pesadillas
There are the innocent ones who are denied
a fair trial, it's sad to think that nothing can be done
for a mother's innocent son

Premium Member Hispanic Panic

When I go outside and see the homeless, I see one thing,
There are no homeless Hispanics and yet,
There is a Hispanic Panic amongst those who are paranoid

From the abuelitas selling taquitos to artists hawking cartoon portraits, street vendors were hustling long before the pandemic. But they are being forced to adjust even more due to the downturn caused by COVID-19.

Mexican merchants are struggling to keep their
Food Truck small businesses, LA Street Vendor’s, are not pan-handlers
For goodness’ sake, buy KEEP-SAKES!

In an era where more of our workforce is in the informal economy with zero protections and safety nets for emergencies
LA Street Vendor Campaign demonstrates how local solutions
can scale up and reach thousands of precarious workers
across Los Angeles and beyond.

Daca Dense

The Supreme Court unites but Trump bites
How dare that Court grant Hispanics rights?
Mariachi bands
Will ruin Trump's plans
That 4th of July bash for White Knights!

Premium Member Bravo For Diversity

The show's leading lady sports a goatee
  Braided armpits bear her understudy
Times have changed at the university
The cast now picked for its diversity

Two Hispanics, two Poles, and two Russkis
Five from the country and five from cities
Cuban nationals who know how to ski
  African-Americans named Trotsky...

Don't know their lines, but the show must go on
They speak utter nonsense, babbling on
Down comes the curtain, the audience stunned
  Angrily demanding a full refund

Yet one audience member shouts 'Bravo'
  ~ An albino Sudanese Eskimo

Ur Mom Gai Lol

Roses are red
Blacks are white
if Hispanics want to fight
They'll bring a knife

The Truth About Chris

In 1492 a beast named Columbus sailed the seas,
Arrived in America to spread Christianity and deadly disease.
Skilled sailor and a monstrous crusader,
Talented navigator but a heartless invader.
When he sailed the ocean blue with his crew he didn’t have a clue,
Claimed earth was pear shaped, yes that fact is true.
What about his bloody reign of terror, a legacy so unspeakably cruel,
They need to teach that to all the children in school.
History heavily edited, kids fed false information,
The truth is that gold was Chris’s motivation.
Learn real history about how slaves were taken back to Spain,
Hispanics are not Spanish, do I really need to explain?
His crimes are chilling, how can anybody admire this villain?
And celebrating Columbus Day mystifies me, it just glorifies killing.
Honouring the father of the transatlantic slave trade and his barbaric crusade,
Costing the tax payers millions of dollars each year for a silly parade.
The first American terrorist, a criminal racist, what more can I say?
Stop glorifying this monster, abolish Columbus Day.

A Spaniard and Hispanics

A Spaniard always panics
while he's among Hispanics.

Rain

when the clouds turn gray the sky turns dark there’s no running because the rain doesn’t have eyes unlike the hills the rain can’t see more like cupid it is blind
when it rain everyone is getting wet rain doesn’t care if your white black or even a mocha frappe it doesn’t care if your rocking the new Jordan’s and that your hair just been tortured by chemicals and that you wore that new I love pink jogging suit that he really likes
rain doesn’t discriminate unlike that next door neighbor who watches your every movement because in their mind the darker the skin the more sticker the fingers are
Rain dosent stop because you decide to **** the world and be who you want cause no one else matter
Rain doesn’t fall upon those with lighter or darker skin it isn’t racist unlike that store clerks who guards who watches Hispanics because he know there history of sneaking in and out why can we be more like nature more like the rain

Racial Harrassment

The Pre-Civil Rights days are making a comeback,
where "other" ethnicities are under attack,
Asian, Indians, Jews, Hispanics and Blacks,
The daggers are being thrown at backs,

Minorities have come a long way from the
days of degradation and ostracism,
Why would anyone want to revist that era again?

Keeping minorities at bay won't restore the economy,
neither will violence, hate crimes and hostility,

We are all equals in the eyes of God,
having earthly experiences that are good
and bad,

We travel the same stormy seas,
Racial Harrassment only brings contempt
and dis-ease,

In unity peace will be found and maybe resolutions that
will astound.

Beyond the Surface, Immigrants

Beyond the surface: immigrants

Watching them from afar;
those immigrants in our land,
images flicker in my mind.
Their courage and dream to fulfill;
as they strive to earn their living.

More than a century has passed,
since European immigration flourished in the land.
Now, with the Hispanics, Asians and
  other cultures to cite
run wide and deep in American life.

Grateful as ever for the gift of life,
being able to partake of God's grace;
Increasingly, combined with potential assistance
to those who're deprived and wounded in their lives.

  While public media get saturated,
  with the ebbs and flows
  with the ups and downs,
  permeated with fear.

Seen like a sublime refrain with deeper meanings;
allow me to ponder on being with Him,
my love and Glorious King.

The First Lady Won'T Like This

The First Lady Won’t Like This

By Elton Camp

Mrs. Obama, childhood obesity is trying to combat
Because she knows kids won’t live as long if too fat

You might think that advertisers would take the hint
A report from Yale University says this how it went

Kids and teens are seeing far more soda ads than before
With blacks and Hispanics especially seeing many more

Children are sold stuff that’s high sugar, low nutrition
Which will significantly add to their too-fat condition

Most experts are convinced that children who are obese
Will develop health problems and their working cease

Without incomes, that means that taxes they can’t pay
Which then drives up healthcare costs yet another way

The American Academy of Pediatrics had this to say
Highly caffeinated drinks aren’t right for kids, no way

The American Beverage Association says this is wrong
They are singled out, when to many blame does belong

Children don’t have experience ads to truly analyze
Obesity will grow no matter how hard Obama tries

Cinco De Mayo

Every May 5th, all of the Mexicans and the Americans celebrate Cinco de Mayo. This Mexican holiday has been an annual holiday since the Mexican soldiers had fought the British soldiers for independence and the Alamo was built in San Antonio, Texas, in the 1880s. It's the time of the year for when everybody gets to hit the pinatas for goodies (candy, e.g.), to eat a lot of Mexican food (burritos and nachos, e.g.), and enjoy a lot of traditional dances from, Mexico, especially when doing the Mexican Hat Dance. It seems that this Mexican holiday doesn't take place in just Mexico, but the United States of America, as well. Everybody knows that Cinco de Mayo comes once a year, especially when these people are talking about how Mexico had gotten its independence. I mean, how cool is that? Why, this holiday is the reason why I love Hispanics, especially attractive Hispanic girls. And if every day was Cinco de Mayo for life, that would be very awesome.

Greetings From the Lower East Side

New York's Lower
East Side
Is full of Hispanics
blacks and Chinese
The Friends of the House
of Sages is there as well
as it has been
for over 80 years
Now summer is
here
A man sells flavored
ice from a cart
A young couple embraces
By the benches
Spanish men gather
to talk and
play dominoes
A beardee Orthodox
man tells jokes at
the bus stop
Children laugh and
teenagers walk to school
There are murals
on the walls
Depiciting the struggles
of the past
The asphalt
homeland
is full of life
A Chinese crossing guard woman
smiles
The city opens its
arms this summer
Those of us
on the Lower East Side
face the future
with anticipation
And not a little hope
