Premium Member Judgement

How proud they put them on display
Two thousand of the first of fortyk
There President Bukele did say
They’ll live in the jailhouse for decades
he went on boasting, in jail it’s judgement day,
as he held his glass of brandy toasting
inmates, suspected violent gang members
moved to a new mega-prison in El Salvador
Transferred to the Center of Confinement of Terrorism
Mixed up, unable to do any more harm
to the population, it was said
So why do I care about these souls,
tears flowed as I read the article
about thousands of prisoners, and Bukele in particular
Central American country’s notorious pandillas
And right then I understood why I cried
Hundreds never made it to round two, que pesadillas
There are the innocent ones who are denied
a fair trial, it's sad to think that nothing can be done
for a mother's innocent son

Let Us Never Forget

Social injustice and economic inequality
have always been practiced in our Nation's working industry
Irish need not apply, Hispanics we don't want your kind
and Blacks don't even show your face
this was the typical response to ethnic minorities in America's workplace

nepotism and favoritism were the norm and status quo
as it was not about your knowledge or skill but about who you know
let us never forget the unions and labor laws which evened the playing field
for if it was left up to corporate America economic inequality would never yield

Racism, discrimination and segregation on our Nation's history is a blight
and in spite of all the civil rights laws we still have to fight
for a measure of equal opportunity
for some respect and a little dignity

let us never forget the Rev. Dr. King Jr., Medgar Evers, Cesar Chavez and Rosa Parks
those who stood up against injustice by igniting a socially conscious spark
they did not back down, they would not back off, they took a moral stance
so that every single human being in this country could have an equal chance

We hold these truths to be self-evident that all citizens shall be treated the same
regardless of race, color, age, gender or how we pronounce your name
and as we celebrate Black History Month let us never forget those who led the fight
in the struggle for social justice, economic equality and basic human rights

Cinco De Mayo

Every May 5th, all of the Mexicans and the Americans celebrate Cinco de Mayo. This Mexican holiday has been an annual holiday since the Mexican soldiers had fought the British soldiers for independence and the Alamo was built in San Antonio, Texas, in the 1880s. It's the time of the year for when everybody gets to hit the pinatas for goodies (candy, e.g.), to eat a lot of Mexican food (burritos and nachos, e.g.), and enjoy a lot of traditional dances from, Mexico, especially when doing the Mexican Hat Dance. It seems that this Mexican holiday doesn't take place in just Mexico, but the United States of America, as well. Everybody knows that Cinco de Mayo comes once a year, especially when these people are talking about how Mexico had gotten its independence. I mean, how cool is that? Why, this holiday is the reason why I love Hispanics, especially attractive Hispanic girls. And if every day was Cinco de Mayo for life, that would be very awesome.

What If There Were No Black People

As the world shifted and divided from whites, Hispanics, and Asians and of course African Americans due to pointless killings from the men in blue, the police. Blacks stormed through their cities protesting and looting. Burning down buildings and franchises that begin to mean very little to them. Blacks from all ages march with angry eyes and balled up fist and crying hearts that beat to a tune that sounded of "justice" Surprisingly non-blacks marched aside of them showing a caring side for once. But it still was not enough to move the cold heart of the president. He sit on his throne in deep thoughts with eyes or anger toward this. He made statements on shooting the looters if it continued. As the looting kept going along with protesters the army got involved as the president stated with not intentions of bluffing. All over the world blacks protested screaming a triumph or peace and justice with tears that many prayed would reach the most high. Right before the army front line infantry pointed their guns at all the black men which was instructed by the president to do so. A loud Now was shouted! Boom!!! Bang!!! they started shooting but every black person who stood in front of them or watched from their homes on television or from across the globe all of a sudden disappeared. The president watching from his throne suddenly swallowed racist hate like spit and his mouth dropped. The army men whom where black was not at the side of the white or Hispanic or Asian shooter nor in the tanks nor in any military to service. They vanished in the blink of a eye. White protesters searched for their black friends who they stood with, with love and a caring heart. Then a old man with a wooden stick that he used to help him walk, with white wool like hair and skin like bronze and his eyes made every one shake in fear. His eyes were like a flame of fire. He then walks up to the army and looks up at the president looking down from a far and he whispered but his whisper was loud touching the ear of all whites and Hispanics and Asians across the globe.

 Are you happy now?

Then this mysterious man said. One should never aim to rule nor remain attached to a secondary world. I shall see you all soon and he whispered again softly that only the president could hear this.

The Climate Changed

The Climate Changed

"You were the sun
Once I was perihelion
Now you are aphelion!"
Sang the perihelion of planet earth
In low baritones

What is the perihelion of planet earth to do now?
A pointless POINT
Wandering in a void

Year 2021
The planet earth is all but
Gone`

The last climate change summit
Was in year 2020!
At the top of the mahogany table
Sat Emperor Trumpet!
Trumpet meant a big fart,
In Cambridge dictionary
But its meaning had changed now
It meant the last Emperor.

Back to my story:
At the top of mahogany
Table sat Emperor Trumpet!
Climate change is a fiction
A rumour, a treason
Spread by my foes
The heathens:
The Jews, the Turks, the Hispanics, the other sex what I call whoes
The English the French the Democrats
Let us teach a lesson to all those
Heathens
Let us ignore their pleas

The Trumpetlings who sat all around him cheered
Twisting their crimson necks!
And serpantine, slime green tongues!

They lined up to kiss his ruby ring
Sat on his crow like finger:
The middle finger which became a conundrum
For ornithologists all around the globe
For years to come
All the while the great fart hissed
And twisted his serpantine tongue
Poison green in hue!
Spitting slime
all the time!

So the great fart was sleeping in his feather bed
(A loud snore);
The bed feathered by his slaves: the Turks the Hispanics the democrats the English
The other sex what he called whoes,
When a great molten came down and
Swollowed the planet earth;
In one big gulp
The humans, the animals the trees
The fine bridges, the intricate monuments;
All but gone now!

The sole survivor is a perihelion;
Lonely as a lost lamb,
Singing melancholy songs
To her old flame

Her greatest love once!

"You were the sun
Once I was perihelion
Now you are aphelion"

The only love song to
have survived!

Un Beso De Despedida

I just can’t leave without saying:
at least bye for now or ‘till we meet again.’
a conventional phrase we always say
to people we’ve met and cared for.

In another country like in Italy,
Ciao o arrivederci is a common cliché
in Spanish they always say, ‘hasta luego’
and in my own language, ‘hanggang sa muli’

As Filipino myself it’s a lovely thing.
to have that courtesy before leaving;
it’s an important gesture, an ethical manner
at least to show a smile or word of thanks.

I remember where I was assigned before,
working with immigrants like those Italians;
some Hispanics, Maltese, Irish and Sri Lankans,
it’s a universal thing to say bye for now.

Then another mission assignment came to my life,
that’s a tough one working at the borderline
that’s between El Paso and a city in Chihuahua
Ciudad Juárez, a place where I lived with Mexicans.

While I study and work at the same time
there’s an element of joy and compassion
I saw how these people like Mexicans
struggled to live and coped with life.

I really enjoyed my relationship with them
I even developed my own sense of freedom
to be creative and compassionate to them
A real commitment, like a song to my ears.

But when that time came that I ought to leave them,
I couldn’t say a word but just a sweet smile,
they understood right away that I’d stay no longer
in our Casa del Migrante, a place of hospitality.

As I was leaving my mission to face another role
in another context, place and working relationship,
some close friends and faithful followers,
organized a party with music and camaraderie.

And I still remember how they spoke about me
saying in a chorus of voices: ‘we’ll miss you,’
that’s a moving experience that even now
I recall those mem’ries so precious to me
that I cherish them all in my heart.

It’s a memorable scenario, a moment of joy
with a cadence of notes unfolding –
un beso de despedida!
though in a short period of time

Premium Member Hispanic Panic

When I go outside and see the homeless, I see one thing,
There are no homeless Hispanics and yet,
There is a Hispanic Panic amongst those who are paranoid

From the abuelitas selling taquitos to artists hawking cartoon portraits, street vendors were hustling long before the pandemic. But they are being forced to adjust even more due to the downturn caused by COVID-19.

Mexican merchants are struggling to keep their
Food Truck small businesses, LA Street Vendor’s, are not pan-handlers
For goodness’ sake, buy KEEP-SAKES!

In an era where more of our workforce is in the informal economy with zero protections and safety nets for emergencies
LA Street Vendor Campaign demonstrates how local solutions
can scale up and reach thousands of precarious workers
across Los Angeles and beyond.

If I Could Change the World

If I could change the world it would be of happiness and smiles.
No more anger, sadness, hatred or evil doers, not even within a mile.
If I could change the world we would all get along.
From blacks to whites to Asians, to Hispanics, to Japanese, to all creeds
heck we would be singing love songs.
If I could change the world poverty would be no more.
You could go into a store and literally grab free food from top shelves to off the floor.
If I could change the world money we would not need.
Just say the magic word " May I have this or that please?" and it would be all yours for free.
If I could change the world death would not even come into play.
Only for the bad and evil people will be the ones who are sent away.
If I could change the world animals would not be homeless or abused.
They would be loved, showed attention, fed a great deal of food and put to good use.
They would be used to make elders happy and kids smile and that would be forever and that's a while.
If I could change the world sickness would not even be.
And as far as a relationship go everyone would have a mate and therefore no one is lonely.
If I could change the world everything I said would really happen.
But I am not God so for now I can only just imagine...

                                                                  04/23/2016

Prisonyard (Part 2)

...Sitting in this cell
Laughing at this guard that fell
Nothing else to do but play with the dirt under my nail
Days move slow as snails
Sit ups all day
Push ups every way
1000 lunges
1000 crunches
So much time to think
So much time to blink
Been reading and writing so much there's words on my sink
Man prison air stink
C.O. is a menace
His name is Dennis
Coincidence
In here a different world
A deepr crater
Tensions so dense
Drugs still smuggled in here, it doesn't make sense
Even though it makes cents
Food is so crappy
Lack of sleep so I'm crabby
The barber got stabbed so my hair is nappy
I'll sure be happy
When I win my case
If this is what life serves you, it's an awful taste
I try to keep my distance from hispanics
When they speak latin I start to panic
But they do great tattoos
And airbrush shoes
I'm not due to lack of visits
So my family can take those letters and stick it
Where the sun doesn't shine
Because there are no rays in here
No emotional breakdowns
No sign of fear
I never shed a tear
Even as the guards carry me from my room grinning ear to ear
I notice how we're goin opposite direction of the courtroom
The sign says "electrical chair"
I'm facing my doom
I sit down get strapped up
Constipated now
Stomach crapped up
Last thing I saw was the mayor with her vovacious curves
She pulled the handle and I felt a powerful surge.....

The Truth About Chris

In 1492 a beast named Columbus sailed the seas,
Arrived in America to spread Christianity and deadly disease.
Skilled sailor and a monstrous crusader,
Talented navigator but a heartless invader.
When he sailed the ocean blue with his crew he didn’t have a clue,
Claimed earth was pear shaped, yes that fact is true.
What about his bloody reign of terror, a legacy so unspeakably cruel,
They need to teach that to all the children in school.
History heavily edited, kids fed false information,
The truth is that gold was Chris’s motivation.
Learn real history about how slaves were taken back to Spain,
Hispanics are not Spanish, do I really need to explain?
His crimes are chilling, how can anybody admire this villain?
And celebrating Columbus Day mystifies me, it just glorifies killing.
Honouring the father of the transatlantic slave trade and his barbaric crusade,
Costing the tax payers millions of dollars each year for a silly parade.
The first American terrorist, a criminal racist, what more can I say?
Stop glorifying this monster, abolish Columbus Day.

Ur Mom Gai Lol

Roses are red
Blacks are white
if Hispanics want to fight
They'll bring a knife

Racial Harrassment

The Pre-Civil Rights days are making a comeback,
where "other" ethnicities are under attack,
Asian, Indians, Jews, Hispanics and Blacks,
The daggers are being thrown at backs,

Minorities have come a long way from the
days of degradation and ostracism,
Why would anyone want to revist that era again?

Keeping minorities at bay won't restore the economy,
neither will violence, hate crimes and hostility,

We are all equals in the eyes of God,
having earthly experiences that are good
and bad,

We travel the same stormy seas,
Racial Harrassment only brings contempt
and dis-ease,

In unity peace will be found and maybe resolutions that
will astound.

The First Lady Won'T Like This

The First Lady Won’t Like This

By Elton Camp

Mrs. Obama, childhood obesity is trying to combat
Because she knows kids won’t live as long if too fat

You might think that advertisers would take the hint
A report from Yale University says this how it went

Kids and teens are seeing far more soda ads than before
With blacks and Hispanics especially seeing many more

Children are sold stuff that’s high sugar, low nutrition
Which will significantly add to their too-fat condition

Most experts are convinced that children who are obese
Will develop health problems and their working cease

Without incomes, that means that taxes they can’t pay
Which then drives up healthcare costs yet another way

The American Academy of Pediatrics had this to say
Highly caffeinated drinks aren’t right for kids, no way

The American Beverage Association says this is wrong
They are singled out, when to many blame does belong

Children don’t have experience ads to truly analyze
Obesity will grow no matter how hard Obama tries

Frustrated

I don’t get it
The nicest people with the biggest hearts get treated like poo
Its as if everyone is acting like everything is okay like it’s a skit
The negativity gets old and dies off, yet the hatred seems to transmit
Is it that hard to put away any animosity you have towards someone and commit?
In reality in the end we all can benefit
Just think……
Where is the love in this world anymore?
Teens still being bullied and girls still getting called whores
People hating themselves for being different, they spend their times at the liquor store
Late nights, asking themselves why, drinking so much they hit the floor
Having an end result of having bruises and being sore
It seems we are all still fighting our own personal wars
Yet there is nothing wrong beating your own drum and wanting to explore
There shouldn’t be any hate or judgment anymore
Let’s once again help one another come together and help restore
So in the end we can all rest ashore
I hate the world we live in today
The violence, the judgments, the assumptions, the hatred, and the betrays
Seeing other people who are different having to repay from all the disarray
Blacks, whites, shorts, obese, Americans, Natives, Hispanics, Gays
We are all different like papier-mâché, and that’s okay
Yet we are all the same on the inside, all one way
So put all the drama behind us, and let’s be a good model on the display

Any thoughts or comments?

And the Dream Goes On

There was a man who had a dream
A long long time ago,
The Reverend Martin Luther King
I'm sure you all do know,
For a United America
Where every color and race,
Sharing all things equally
In this beautiful place.

Then there was Bob Kennedy
Some forty years ago
Who said that in forty years time
Our President might be *****,
Well he was shot down in his prime
And never lived to see,
A Black man in the White House
He predicted so truly.

So America we've lived to see
That some dreams do come true,
And with Obama at the helm
Our faith has been renewed,
He is a true American
Part African part white,
He knows the struggles of the poor
We know he'll do what's right.

Will he be perfect? No he won't
'Cause not a man can be,
He'll make mistakes like others did
And they'll be fixed, you'll see,
We'll just step back, give him a chance
Let's see him walk the walk,
His campaign slogan was for change
And he talked a great talk.

So Black and White people unite
Asians, Hispanics too,
And every race in this great land
Rallied together true,
It was a lovely sight to see
Them go from door to door,
Asking Americans to choose
Democracy once more.

So Americans are fired up
And all ready to go,
Into a new direction now
Not waiting for tomorrow,
And so this awesome dream lives on
And we are proud to see,
This is a true United States
We're in good company.
