No one knows the heart is beating
Or that it's given life is the heart
Set pace hardest as granite rock
How do you know said heart is beating
When you embrace a one
You feel the silent whispers from the breath
And chest of an individual vibrate essence life and love

I looked to find my beating heart, once ablaze and bold,
But in its place I find shadows, and embers gone cold.
The flickering flame once danced, with glee,
My former place of sanctuary, now cold, empty
In the mirror of my soul, a reflection so stark,
Where blood once flowed warm, now frozen and dark.
The heart that once pulsed with love's fervent tone,
Stands silent and still, transformed into stone.
Yet in the theater of hope, there might still be a chance,
For sparks to reignite love, in the right circumstance.
Though now I feel frozen, from sorrow's cruel dance,
I yearn for the warmth, for a return of romance.
a man without heart
is not a man... It's a mineral,
or Just a worthless stone...
I felt we were the perfect couple,
But outside forces will always,
Stop us from being in love.
Something was missing,
Opportunity's not taken,
Noticing something wasn't quite right.
Teasing me, playing with my heart,
Then sensing she was the wrong woman.
Realizing she was stopping herself,
From falling in love.
She gave me what I thought I needed,
But my mind, body, and soul wouldn't,
Let us open the door to allow ourselves,
To be free to love.
I was afraid of being hurt by you again.
So I walk away and your wall,
Continues to stand not,
Allowing anyone in.
Some hearts beats of love
Some hearts are infused in blood
Yet hearts of stone
Love No One
Harden hearts have no moving part
And the blood is frozen cold tart
How can one be alive
when they have no love in their eyes
Yet I am made of dirt molded as clear
This I say in true sincere
the revelance heartbeats
Those corresponding feats
I am a heart of stone
not of love

Tell not a soul of who you are
Share not yourself with anyone
Keep out of touch
Shun love
Like nothing
Mock others
Seldom smile
And Deaath will let you be
Why bother with the dead living
In life give of yourself unselfishly in joy
Why take souls without a spirit
People need people, no one can live alone
Life does not bleed through a heart of stone
Ripples of lava,
Spewing out from volcanos
I am this flaw…
Sweet shards of I-don’t-knows
I am burning quite aflame
You like to always blame me
For your ridiculous game
Of blasphemous, insidious envy
I’d rather become numb with bad news
Instead of succumbing to nothing
I am ancient, gross gum on your shoes…
Darling, you were my everything
Until you stepped all over me and lied
Until you pressed upon me vanity
The darkness is somewhat dwelling inside
Our craniums of unknown gravity
You’re the lava in my heart's every beat
I am the volcanos that erupt in repeat
I’m falling apart by the seams of agony
You take me away with your melancholy
Infinite hearts of infinite loves
Sent to earth on wings of diligent doves
Infinite wisdom with infinite smiles
Sent to earth for her turbulent trials
Infinite eyes through infinite stars
Sent to earth to look at her scars
Let your heart of stone crumble in His presence
That we may abide in love within our penance
Let Him give you a true heart of flesh
That we may melt our sins and refresh
It has been said that a heart of stone
Shall never wander but stand alone
It has been said that a heart of flesh
Shall willingly wander and always mesh
Let Him come inside your hurting heart
That we may have joy and a fresh new start.

I was used and abused
my heart was trampled on.
So as a defense mechanism,
It became cold as ice,
and hard as a rock.
I didn't allow love to get near it,
that was until you came,
and caught me off guard.
You were relentless in your
pursuit of me, I had no choice,
but to surrender to your love.
You made my icy heart melt,
my heart of stone became flesh.
You know what you did my love?
you WOKE UP MY HEART.

I called for you but know one answered
O heart of stone
smoke stacked hilltop
rolling river of heat
my heart that's made of stone
can't bring me to my knees
I called for you in the darkness
a flickered flame burnt out
O fruitless twisted vine
that's thrown into the flames
you clothed yourself in thorns and thistles
destruction became your master
you made a bed of lies
layed down and fell asleep
you were lead away in chains
eyes closed to the pain
can you hear the screaming lambs of slaughter
O heart of stone, O heart of stone
awaken the dawn
rise up from your slumber
Regally stunning, the way she stands there, hair dancing on a windless day.
She is smiling, and I turn and look behind me, to see the object of her desire.
Is it me that she wants, with those far-away eyes, so much in need of love?
Everyday I come to visit, and tell her of my yearning, of my deepest desires.
I'm not sure, but maybe she feels the same way, by that sweetest of smiles.
Sometimes cloudy skies, bring the tears that stain her face, stinging my heart.
Then as always, the sunshine breaks through, to dry up any trace of her sorrow.
So lovely she waits, like a picture in a book, the way she holds her arms for me.
Even the birds want to be near her, for she is always there, to hear their songs.
I know our meeting, was but the stroke of fate, the way we ran into each other.
And if the legends are true, and I kiss those marbled lips, she will love me too!
Some time ago I met a man
That lived in an ancient land
He resided in a castle.
Away from everyone,
That could turn his heart into stone.
Some say he was unsociable,
Others that he was lone.
Just because he lived all alone.
He had his heart broken so many times,
By those he loved the most.
But the truth is,
He was just a man,
protecting his heart,
from turning into stone.

Was it really all that long ago
when we stood before the crowd
Vowing our love to each other aloud?
Ambitions and vows together don't always go
I'm sure you thought that I would know
So here am I, head bare and bowed.
Perhaps it was just an innocent faze.
I thought you would be happy if we were rich,
Instead I pushed you deeper into that ditch
I didn't emerge to you from that dark, dark haze...
Or was it the middle of an unsolvable maze?
Entangled now, in my created nitch.
I sometimes think of the life we could have known
But like you, I'm left with a HEART OF STONE.
