silvered high, captivating my 
eye: 

Surely no meteor could show 
natural better, icing the sky
leaving lick-able tails of frosty
air glitter -- 

The jet made circles

a lariat rhinestone cowboy

or sparkly pinwheel in the hands of
dancing child – surely some future
astronaut, making
novelty of atomic flash and fire –

Blinded Visions, Inhuman Vitriol flowing through Uncivil

Society. Grander Savages casting Shallow Shadows; Ignoble

Secrets. Darkest Templar, Limited Freedom belongs Nowhere.

Heads up, there's a duck
Looks like angel in heaven
That brings us good luck.

I exist - but I also exist inside the heads of other people
both knowing what I’ve done and what they have me do
when they close their eyes; it is inside these other heads
that we last longer, I think that’s where I truly take place

Sometimes I sit and wonder if we got it all wrong
Staring down at our feet as the world spins along

Could pick up our head to start seeing in a new light
Realizing beauty is abound if we adjust our eyesight  

Opportunities unlock when we zoom out our focus 
Things we missed before are now suddenly

We forget, days go by
We forget to gaze at sky

We are so earth-bound, non-birds
We see level, ground level, as words
Made for learning, learning theory, that is
Bound in text, texting, books, libraries

I learn to remind myself to look at sky
If u can't see skies easily, look high!
Trees will do, even thorns. If there are hills
Do gaze.

If Something Should Happen To Me

If something happens to me and I’m found stiff and cold,
Don’t think it’s my time, 
‘cause I’m not nearly that old!

If it’s true what they say, 
that fifty’s the new thirty,
Then i’m in my prime, 
with plenty of time, 
and a mind to be a little bit dirty.

When driving, we use WAZE, which is
A talking GPS.
It finds the quickest routes and thus
Eliminates some stress.

At times, it issues warnings
Like an "obstacle on road,"
So we'll both be on the lookout
To avoid our being towed.

But it took a while to realize 
That an "animal ahead"
Won't leap out to cause some damage;
It's already stone cold dead!

After Finding a Penny Heads Up

after finding a penny heads up
i am introduced a new type of day
it is like a movement on a trampoline
suddenly i am travelling in another chapter of pure and sure beauty
a symphony begins in the many melodies of a simple breeze
i choose not to return to my former life
instead i learn to be an explorer

I was texting and fell down a well,
I lost my iphone, "Oh damn, Oh hell,"
I can't stop the bleeding
so with you I'm pleading...
"Please, tear off my thumbs! That would be swell."


For people addicted to their phone(s)!

Through the yars I have wondered,
what's on my dogs mind,
do they like to play hide and seek?
Or would they much rather find,
do they enjoy our evening walks?
do they ever wish that they could talk?
do they like what I've chosen for them to eat?
would they pick and choose,
all the same treats?
do they like when their paws
