here we careen through the scheme
riding the vortex of the american dream
seen behind the blind scenes in hiding
keep fighting the design on the frontlines.

the career of a degenerative peer
is not measured by how they appear
or adhere the commandeer of said steer,
as long as they down beer and disappear.

clear as this fixates the mistake of the states
we would augmentate and drown hound fears
sheer will could astound the nouns quo
leaving them in tow with woe as one said so.

illuminate the sewn, find a darker home alone,
brash and beating the bone into the stone,
not grown eating scones of the blindly shown
that well-known handmade status throne.

grenade low tossed at the cost of some human loss
for fuel that is obsolete and crude at high-spreading moss
green fabric the waxen-elitism roster head boss
with a thumb gangrene, the color of his blood pulse.

down a flask of mezcal with a spliff of mary jane,
we aim to numb the pain from their dumb games -
switching lanes through the lazy river zaftig maze,
eyes glaze over, middle fingers raise at their gaze

Little Brother

Frogs and snails
Puppy dog tails
That was you to the core
Throw in a pinch of Karate Kid
Just a dash of Falkor
There you are,little brother mine
Your recipe when young
Then you just kept growing up
I kinda doubt you're done!
You tower over other men
And you're also pretty tall
Tower over, no, not in height
But in character,you beat all
Compassion became the ingredient
That makes up the bulk of you
Add a cup of charisma
A charmer through and through
Whisk briskly with sharp wit and humor
With laughter and sly smiles
Put in the oven of love and respect
And Bake a little while.
Glaze over liberally with talent
From God to you it flows
Decorate with fatherhood
So beautiful to behold
Before you were made in flesh
God took something sweet away
The sugar, spice…everything nice
He returned on your wedding day.
It may seem like you are finished
That God has made you what you'll be
But He isn't finished with you,
 little brother, Wait and see!

Fingertips click a
desperate breakbeat
as eyes glaze over
in blue light baptism
please overwhelm me

Binary jungle,
you glowing cesspit
through the clipping
curtain echoes a choir
of post-post ironic
agoraphobics.

Dopamine is a myth,
an expired meme
deemed mega cringe
Let the file rot into
informational abscess

Here we all wait before
Heaven's blockchained gate
tired of partaking into
a satire so removed from
a cogent solution,
It is simply void.

Here is coldest oblivion in
this stupid cyborg machine,
but the world is so
Y2K heat death-core
Whatever that means

It turned a generation
made us abandonware
Just to feed us nostalgia
for times when we
would bother to care.

Life of the Abandoned

What sort of life can one be expected to live
When forced independence is bestowed upon thee
Disowned and made to discern the world alone
Toughens up a woman beyond any measure

Beneath soft skin lies a frozen will
Cold blood that runs throughout the veins
A relentless desire to fight to the end
Even when the circumstances made death seem like mercy

Day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute
Time moves on without slowing at all
A never-ending force that decides everything
And puts to a halt the most persistent energy

While eyes glaze over from all directions
Seeing the beauty portrayed over the surface
But within consists of fractures and cracks
That with pressure have turned into crystals

So as the moon changes with phases
Pulling the tides of our hearts
Waves crashing over and eroding us away
And only the sturdiest pieces remain

Premium MemberThe Melody Speaks

Are those tears on my cheek, in my eyes,
at their peak? The melody speaks
so simply of love, of Sonny and Cher.
I share this idea that love can grasp,
whether moments in time, though
they don’t last, still looking back.
Looking back at my parents’ romance
who would’ve thought. No wonder
they were drawn to the duo,
dynamically funny and melodic.
May not be Bocelli and Dion,
“My Prayer,” but it reaches
to my deepest heart - to hear
from one another,
“I’ve got you, Babe,”
in all its nuanced and youthful ways.
Perfectionism, our eyes glaze over,
giddy with twin palpitations. No one
meets the standards. Grief
tears us apart. Some really believe
they had the perfect thing -
twisting the ring…ahh,
twisting the hair…ooh. Close to
heaven, but big galoot
you betray yourself - offering incense,
incensed at the offing…so deep
your chin hits the floor.
“Amazing Grace,” sets us back on our feet,
honoring God in life, at death.
Are those tears on my cheek, in my eyes,
at their peak? The melody speaks…

Wrong Side of Heaven

welcome to my reality
who’s reality of their self falters at the drop of a hat
the sudden tantalizing change is surely overwhelming
it’s at the point where I’ve been on the moon so long
the law of gravity doesn’t apply to me

only when my eyes glaze over and the fall is accelerating
do I decide to feel the weight carried by my feet
the uneasy awareness of my senses has caused my body to deem them unnecessary

i’m used to my uncertainty, but the earth’s endless divides are a whole nother planet to me

my sun doesn’t shine but her orbit strongly pulls me
she convinces me I’m unlike anyone you’ll ever meet
though I am everyone you’ve ever seen

i do not care to know about people, places, or things
all I’ve ever understood is the need to experience what would happen if someone entered my galaxy
and admire every action like I’d change the course of history

i have a fire brewing, but in the shadows the flame goes untouched

i’d rather you burn your hand on the match for me

The Time Between the Seasons

Late Summer Breeze

Autumn is approaching I can tell
When all the leaves fell
The weather smells like rain but it's not cold
So don't you worry it will be like the old
days. And as always
Our usual ways
I will not be cold but hazy
This time dull and lazy
Bored I will be and my eyes will glaze over
As I will only be surrounded by three leaved clover
Only salt and pepper, frequently common
Rotten souls all around are the omen
And I will only wish for a reason
For all the treason
Dried out flowers of fall are fragile
But my dreams are full of you and all agile
Delicate and vulnerable
Not all words are utter-able
Stars appear to be drifting
I am the late summer sun resisting
Still warm like a bracing and fragrant breeze
But my brain is buzzing like bees
As I lose my grip
Feeling unusual and unsafe I slip

Wing Stand Thoughts

Awake at last to take on your challenges, trying to discard your fear of damages.
Learn to accept that life will sometimes be boring, your eyes will glaze over and give way to idling
The times will be tough, the people will be strident. Your mind will cling to safety as it will be defiant.
Change can be scary and quite unfamiliar, some cling to drugs and others cling to liquor.
I wish I could claim that you are above it all, but life has its ways of making everyone feel small.
It wants you to be believe that what you do won’t change things, as if fate and destiny were pulling all the strings.
It’s safer to assume so and requires far less reaching, but in the end robs you of your life’s deeper meaning.
Life demands more of you, to struggle and explore.
You gotta think outside the box to win your inner war.
So open up your eyes and learn to listen, feel, and see.
Realize that in this life, you are the way, the door, and key

Snowflakes In The Mind

What do they look like
People, ideas, objects, memories, visions, sensations, passions.
Vanished like snowflakes on the tip of your tongue.
The transient fragrance of a new born held close to your breast.
Smoke rising from the campfire at the end of day.
The rolling thunder sound of storm, and lightening to lite the sky.
The heat of passion as the light flashes out.
The eyes that glaze over at the close of life while you hold the hand and then cradle only the form without light.

Like snowflakes-each one is unique, never seen before or to be seen again.
Like snowflakes they all vanish to be held only as memories.

To Lethe

Longing grips me-—
a familiar fire in contact
with parched debris—
spreading...

Your eyes glaze over
and you turn away.

Within moments,
the last of my spirits
have gone to Hades.

Ashamed, I turn over
while tears trickle
into my pillow.

This new fire consumes me—
—it is a thought: I want you—
But surely I am unwanted...
and to Lethe, I escape.

Eyes Glaze Over

If the soap is running far and wide,
you need to check the box

Those leaks, the promises never kept,
from all that spew you talked

When eyes glaze over—attention lost,
its time to reassess

The truth has no expiration date
 —your faults to now confess

Premium MemberThe Pull of Autumn

Before the winter winds glaze over thought and need
we fire up the window, with Hopes and even seed
while Autumn brushes in with a hint of frost and go
we long for tinsel moments, of love and after glow.

The Art of Happiness

A girl seeps into your vision—
Warm, yet crisp,
She dances happiness.
Hand outstretched, she beckons you nearer.
Carefully you reach,
But she is out of grasp,
You reach more and more,
Shoulders tense, back strained, arm pulling against its socket,
Reaching until you cannot reach anymore,
But still,
You cannot reach her.
Her eyes glaze over your body.
You can almost taste Joy on her lips.
She twirls,
Her golden strands silently brushing your cheek,
Again, you push harder and harder to just touch her hand,
But to no avail.
Her outstretched arm still lingering, she turns towards you, defeated.
Desperately, you strain against the force of your own body,
Begging for just one touch.
Her eyes meet yours,
A gleaming smile tugs at the corners of her lips.
Without faltering,
She lowers her hand and dances away into the light,
Taking happiness with her.

Premium MemberBlah Blah

Blah blah blah blah blah
My eyes glaze over and you don’t notice or care
Blah blah blah blah blah
Permission denied to use my headspace for waste disposal
Blah blah blah blah blah
I keep desperately hoping this will all soon end
Blah blah blah blah blah
How can you live with all that crap building up inside
Infesting every corner of your darkened mind
Looks to me like a puss infected bubbling cauldron
Blah blah blah blah blah
For God’s sake open the window and let some sun in
Blah blah blah blah blah
Let that putrid and rancid air escape
I see your blood pressure escalating
All I can do is shake my head

Your spirit is trapped under that pile of rubbish
Blah blah blah blah blah
Totally impervious to your dire need of an intervention
Overwhelmed with your exponential decline
I don’t know how I can help set you free
You’ll never find your way out
Until you realize your demons are within
And you really do hold the options to free yourself
